Why would anyone hit dislike on this video?! There is absolutely nothing to dislike! Entertaining, informative, creative as hell. Great job… the rack focus key framing was a nice touch.
More uploads please. These are dope Super creative and original reviews. So many others just name specs and show footage of themselves standing on rocks in slowmo. Thanks for the value heavy content. It's so refreshing 👍
Incredible use of unorthodox camera angles and techniques, and it made me want to go out and create. This is why I always look forward to your uploads!
Thanks, dude......It should be mentioned that all of these shots can be achieved with a gro pro...this just happens to be the camera that I felt doing a video of at the moment.
You are the "Ace Ventura" of Video. You simply knocked it out of the Ball park.Your presentation, and explanation on how you put this video together was simply "video" amazing. Totally inspiring.
So this is a good discussion to get going...Would you rather have less crafted videos but more frequently? Or same quality craftmanship videos and about every 2-3 weeks??
@@MAKEARTNOWCHANNEL That's a good question. Would love to see maybe a vid once a week. But would of course also want the same quality vids. I don't know... I'm really interested in your commercial work. Any chance we are going to see more of that in your vids? Maybe have a behind the scenes shooter with you on a project you're working on? That would be so cool!
@@MAKEARTNOWCHANNEL Great point! I myself would honestly prefer quality videos created over a couple weeks. Your unique craftsmanship and your constant desire to break boundaries and limitations is what makes your channel so amazing and the reason why your channel will keep growing. But, I think you can bring it up to a broader discussion of a viewer/follower's viewpoint vs a creator's. I feel a majority of content creators would prefer the same quality craftmanship videos over however long your creative process took but a follower of your content and channel would love to see your videos more often. So my question is how do you balance your creative workflow with your audience's demand to always post more often?
@MAKE. ART. NOW. I love your videos enough that it’s hard to wait 2-3 weeks between uploads (I think I’ve watched the whole archive). HOWEVER I wouldn’t ask you to sacrifice the quality. Ain’t no daily vlogger making blade runner LUT videos with AIs and shit. You are in the trenches, every day, walking the walk. That makes your admonition to GO MAKE SOME ART meaningful. Why did you build a mobile command center? To help you make art. We can see that you are eating your own dog food, and that leaves you less time to make videos for RUclips. Do whatever you feel is right. It’s your channel. Just know that I, for one, am a big fan of the content you’ve been creating, even if the uploads don’t come very often. Thanks for inspiring me to make shit. ✌🏻
DUDE! THAT TOSTER SHOT THO! Such an awesome and inspiring video. Its not about what camera you have but how you use it... but the Osmo action is actually incredible!
I have to say. I was actually excited when I saw you did a review on the osmo action. I enjoy you creativity in your camera reviews. Thank you for the time you invest into these reviews.
Let me humbly say you just nailed Peter McKinnon at his own game with this, and not just that but you didn’t need an expensive EOS R or 1DXmkII to accomplish it. Now, I felt sorry of myself because I have all the tools and 30 years of experience as a pro post producer and know exactly how to mask, track, blur and key frame all that and never thought about doing this. In fact, I’ve never applied so much knowledge even into a commercial. Agencies were too square back on my days. Congratulations, I’m loving your channel even more with every video. You deserve going to the top you tubers list. I will share it on the frugal filmmakers group and all the GoPro groups on Facebook, as well as on everywhere I think it can be useful. Thank you for doing so great quality and value material!
Yeah, infact I was actually using a tentacle sync. You can see it in one of the shots. Here the scoop, the first iteration of the audio ports don't work, DJI has to release a firmware update. In the meantime they are releasing a second audio port meant specifically for the osmo action.....that second one works for sure, that was the one I had.

You're a boss! After years of hating on action cams bc of image quality (colorist snob alert), I just got one for a gig that needed some very remote rigging. This vid just made me all giddy about how to use it for more 'immersive' shots. thanks for continually re-thinking standard approaches. Cheers from NYC
Just came across your videos earlier in the week and I've watched just about all of them now. The amount of effort you put into these is insane, and you manage to make long videos seem so short. Everything in these is entertaining and you don't waste our time one bit. Very inspiring stuff and I love that you make do with the tools at hand. Keep on creating man
YES! I want to see your workflow/post thingy! This is excellent filmmaking! I saw this video a few years ago. Watched it again. It's really, really good! So well done on so many levels! Hope you sold a lot of those safes!
You're the most creative film maker I've seen on youtube. That's why everytime you post no matter how busy i am, i just click. Although i have post notifications turned on but when I see no notification in couple of weeks from you. I come to your channel to make sure that you posted or not. That's how crazy I'm for you. Keep it up bro! Love you!
That was a genuinely interesting piece of film to watch, I sat through so many "morning routine" montages made by peers when I was at university. I didn't think anyone could ever make one interesting. Shout out to the birds eye view shot of the kitchen, I always love those. Great work!
Well Josh, you just proved, once again, that there is no reason to worry about the gear you have. Use what you have and focus more on making it look dope. Great job. You know we want those Davinci tutorials. Keep it up man!
Wow..just wow....some of the ideas you came up with blew my mind. Fantastic...and all your scenes were properly lit...so important with small sensor action cams.
MAKE.ART.NOW is my favourite channel. love your stuff and you have inspired me to create my own youtube channel in the uk, with my grandsons. keep up the good work and look forward to your new stuff, subscribed and notifications on!
Yessss yes yes, new vid!! Awesome as usual, and please DO make another video explaining all those skills applied in Da Vinci, that would be rad. Thanks a lot for creating this amazing videos, keep em coming!
You are such a great instructor and provide incredible inspiration. Your creativity is never ending and your ability to communicate is excellent. OK, enough gushing. Thanks for your channel.
Its only two days that I came across your channel and I'm totally stuck with your content..... You are really a master of your craft...keep sharing your wisdom and tricks bro
You probably won't read this but you set the bar high for filmmakers in term of creativity and new concept! This was refreshing to watch and get inspired. I really like the breakdown of the BTS and the final footage using the DJI Osmo Action. Your editing skills are too good!
Stumbled upon this and clicked since I love my Osmo Action (big parts of my vlog are shot with it) and I see Zac, and think, "Hey, wait a sec, I KNOW THAT GUY!" I met Zac way back when he lived in my home town of SLC! Small world!
This was flipping amazing. Please show us more behind the scenes. Found your channel recently after watching the black magic camera in the desert and was blown away. Would definitely like to see your post process. Always excited when one of your videos pop up in my feed.
thank you thank you for this video and many amazing ones prior. you are an inspiration, and several levels above the popular youtube channels that take about gears or offer tutorials. you inspire. that is priceless.

YEHA!!! New episode!! Nice detail in the last one with your smallHD monitor.. you cut the plastic thing to get normal small-hdmi cables into the plug :D - really nice!! And of cause let us know something of your workflow!
Wow this was great! By the way that coffee shot at 7:56 I would have tried to see how it looked at 4x or even 2x slowmo instead of 8x, or with 8x but moving the camera a bit. Also that blur was amazing :)
Now THIS is the kind of video that really inspires. Far beyond the typical "this button does this, this feature does that" kind of laundry list. This is exactly how to make informed buying decisions. Seeing CREATIVE field work with a technical backstory. Kudos. Would love to see what the GP 8 can do in a similar vein. Maybe a lunch video? :D
I love how you don’t just do a senseless gear review, you use it to tel a story and it was actually a cool little story, there was a foreshadowing moment! You are a master.
Inspiring video about what is possible with simple gear and a lot of creativity! Thanks for sharing. Would love to see the video where you go over your editing process. Loved the rack focus effect you achieved.

watching ur videos really makes me see that limitations are not in the gear you use..but how you put it to work

This sounds like when ugly people say beauty is on the inside. Or when poor people say that money doesn’t buy happiness.
The gear is a HUGE part.
Yes give us as much DaVinci Resolve goodness as possible!
Agreed. I’ve been migrating over slowly from FCPX because it just lacks features that are too useful today lick built in tracking and object removal.
