If not the best trilogy ever made, but execution-wise it was the best, period.

ME 1 will always be my favourite of the series. Loved it ever since I first played it all the way back in 2007.

most people say the 2nd part but i always stand my ground... first episode of the series where overwhelming the feeling will never ccome back... the feeling of the first time!

@@rispruffcuts2306 ME2 to me feels exactly like people feel about Dragon Age 2 lol. All the worst parts of it. It's about that time when many people from the original BW crew left and you can see the cracks it left on the games that came after

I only played it recently and did the whole trilogy. The first 1 is also my favourite. Lets say it was made before EA bought the studio. I'm currently doing a second playthrough...

You are definitely right! Got all the DLC before finishing my first playthrough, and so much of the ending was in context that it didn't even matter that I didn't have the extended cut! It was awesome! Playing through again with XC to see what was different

    Microsoft Game Studios CEOs:
#1:Well, what about Bioware, coming from Edmonton, Canada.
#2: The idea were reading their pitch about is based on some sci-fi genres in the likes of Star Wars.
#3: They are the one who developped that same game franchise called ''Knights of the Old Republic''. They even knew how to create the opposite in the fantasy genre. A game called Baldur's Gate.
#2: Their games are always RPG. But they know how to innovate with new ideas.
#1: Is that the kind of developpers we want to help us promote our seventh generation video game console?
#2: They're the only kind of developpers whom their ideal game can help us promote our video game console.
    #1: I'll make the call.

Why is every comment about ME3, why did people care that much

    • @agent_sus3273
      @agent_sus3273 2 года назад

@@mithcee Well, I haven’t played ME3 yet, but my dad played it and from what I heard, it was a pretty good game until the ending. The soundtrack to ME3 is really good too. I grew up listening to it.
He DID say ME2 was a better game though. And I’ve been playing the first game, and I really like it so far. Don’t understand why there are so little people here.

    • @mithcee

@@agent_sus3273 ME3 is good and I think you'll enjoy it. For most people it's not their favorite out of the three, but still a great game. But I think when it was so soon after release people commenting here were still really salty that it wasn't all they hoped it would be. But now with the benefit of time we look at it more as one game in an overall amazing trilogy when put together.

@@mithcee I’d say the inflammatory comments come from the general feeling that all conclusions come to one end and thats not satisfying.
Given waited for years between release, to end in a one way branch ending that you can choose regardless of previous play style kind of blows the whole gimmick of the series away.
I however wasn’t around to play the mass effect trilogy as it released, but i do remember the outside looking in and watching the hype boil over when people beat 3.
I played the series for the first time in 2022, and I’d personally say that without any previous knowledge of mass effect, after touching the first reaper obelisk, and encountering the first reaper via a room created just for his voice and projection. The first time the reaper spoke English, I literally shuddered my shoulders in real life and was like emotionally disturbed and aware there was probably no real way to “win” this war, although my paragon femshep was steadfast and almighty in telling the Harbinger, We would defeat him.
I knew I wouldn’t win or even survive myself, but I couldn’t allow my team to see that or know me intimately because of it. No relationships, I was flirting then Harbinger stopped me in my tracks.
I put my head down, and went to work. I managed to get the geth and the quarians to make peace instead of war although my friend who recommended me the series insisted it was an impossible thing to do in game. The only thing mass effect 3 was really missing in my eyes was a 2nd repaer fight with different mechanics from the orbital strike gameplay. I’m fine with the way it ends because i don’t think Sheperd should win under any circumstance vs the Reapers. This end keeps the game grounded in a true space drama and as a result, i think thats why the allure and general hang of permanent memories i made is so pungent. really added to the general you’re not going to win this war. I stared at the memorial wall at the start of mass effect 3 for 20 minutes before really exploring the ship. No other game has ever managed to make me care about in game assets as viscerally as Mass Effect and its a true classic great time sink.

@@trackstarggs I appreciate your comment but I'd ask you to remove the part about Mordin to avoid giving spoilers to people who are experiencing the trilogy for the first time. Also I think you're misremembering what happened to Mordin, there are a couple of outcomes for him but that isn't one of them.

As somebody who played ME3 for the first time ever last month (I'd played the first two many times before), I wouldn't call it incredible, but it certainly was very very good. I understand how without the DLCs it would suck, but as the full package it was definitely a very good game. Unfortunately I preferred the RPG-style gameplay in ME1 to the corridor shooter style of ME2, so I was kinda sad to see ME3 stick to the second style, however the character and story development was easily the best of the three games.

@@chtholly8084I mostly agree with you, ME1 is the best on its own right, but the trilogy as a whole is more than the sum of its partes.
If you want to improve ME3 even further, there is a lot of great, lore friendly mods out there

it's okay, but i think all of the story DLCs for ME2 and 3 make those games bloated and distract from the main story, Bing Down the Sky is still my fav DLC
