Ewart Plimmer was shot on film compared to the rest of the outdoor material shot in OB format. I wish the outdoor scenes were shot on film to give a more acceptable feel.
The BBC phased out the video on set/film on location set-up around this time. Both Doctor Who and Grange Hill ditched that set-up out for all-video in 1986.
@@jamesmitchell8922 Yep, I actually quite like OB, it has a certain quality to it that is rather 'charming' to me. That being said, video does not age as well as film, but maybe that's part of the charm.

@jackflash1996 Doctor Who The Trial of a Time Lord began on the same night as Casualty which it too was in OB format.
