I Have owned two Tiges. I have surfed several other manufactures. Tige is a great all around boat and that is what I love about them. I love the company and brand. They surf great out of the box. I love the simplicity of the screen interface (until they changed it recently) I also love the simplicity of the dash - just one screen off to the side. I liked the older ISOTTA steering wheel control and not a fan of the new controls on the newer models, but still nice to have those controls on the wheel. Storage is great and also what I love. Engine noise is louder with the Indmar as opposed to the Marine Power in my prior boat. I have not noticed RPMS being any higher or engine being louder than other boats I have surfed. I surf my Z3 with 300# of lead and routinely get 8-9gph while surfing. So if the RPMS are higher, my gas guzzle is not bad at all compared to other manufacturers. They don't handle chop, like the Maytag straits, very well, but I hear the bigger 24RZX and ZX5 may handle it better. The Ultre's are nice, but at that price point, why not go for the Nautique. I wish I could take all the features I like from all the different manufacturers and combine them into one great product! I have yet to see another brand in my price point that will pull me away from Tige.

I've always had a soft spot for Tige. My view is that they have historically made a great product for the money. I see a lot of 21v and 22v out on the water and they still throw a decent surf wave. The Z23 is still one of the most beautiful wakeboats ever made. The bang for the buck is lost a bit in their newer boats since they are priced in the premium range. My buddy bought a 21ZX and it was disappointing. Moderate chop would cause a lot of water to enter the cabin drencing the occupants. The same buddy traded that boat in on a 23ZX which did not have the same problem. I've spent a lot of time on that 23ZX and truly enjoy it. It's a very comfortable boat and I too love the steering wheel controls. I'm a big guy and it will generate a pushy wave that I can play on at a surprisingly high speed. While its wave isnt' quite on par with my Centurion I feel that it wakesurfs quite well. If I didn't have a Centurion I'd be hard-pressed to decide between the 23ZX or a Supra. For me the biggest con of the Tige is their puny fuel tanks. These tanks simply aren't big enough for places like Lake Powell.
I need to check out the Ultra but I think it's kind of ugly. Why did they go for the bulldog looking bow like Nautique?

The new Ultré is a game changer for tige. I don’t agree with the quality comment, all manufacturers struggle with build quality and all boats have issues. I’d put an Ultré 25ZX up against any brand for surfing! As far the ballast comment, some boats don’t need as much ballast as others to make a great surf wave!

Biggest reason not to buy a Centurion- if you surf too close to your neighbor, you might wash away their grandkids and get in trouble 😂😂.

Great video as always. The biggest selling feature for me on a Tige/ATX would be the rear facing seating. If you cove out a lot, I think they do the best job with their transom seats. They have built in seats that are actually big enough to sit in and then also offer the flip up sunpad back rests for another option.

I've been a Tige owner for ten years. I'll probably be a Tige owner forever. I think I agree with about 90% of your points. Engine is way too loud. Surfacing finishing is excellent, but once you start taking a few panels off, you can see a lot of debris, holes cut with teeth etc. However they have upgraded all their wiring and terminations to be a lot better in the past decade. Engine is way too loud.... I cried when they left PCM. You are bang on there. Definitely needs more weight for surfing. Most people add lead.
Where I disagree is on the wave. They perform in the upper echelon of the industry. Tige has maybe had one bad surf boat in the past 15 years (the 2019ish RZX2). Otherwise they are market leaders when you compare pounds for pounds (i.e. equalize ballast).
What I love about Tige is how great the brand treats you (really family oriented). Also love the experience of being on the water. They ride really level, and just seem to think ahead about how you are going to use the boat. be safe, and comfortable. Then of course the wave is always incredible. I've surfed almost everything else, and prefer the Tige wave to them all.

Our local dealer on our lake became a tige dealer about 10-12 years ago. I have looked at them in the showroom. They do have an overall premium finish to interior. I have seen several that are 3 or 4 years old with the vinyl stitching looking terrible. The seams had popped and torn. Maybe they have improved this lately, but I think that is a potential downside to the fancy diamond stitching they are known for.

While I love these videos I do think making statements of poor build quality deserves more discussion beyond seat stitching.... I was kind of disappointed in the lack of details and examples to back up this statement
