I just tried it and I got 18 moose 2 rosvelt deer and 3 brown bears op spot
I've been using this spot for the last 2 weeks and it's great I have a lot of money and Im well and dandy here's a tip place a tent right by the spot so you can tp to it when needed you have to wait you have to but if you buy a crossbow with 600 grm bolts you can lay down a moose with in seconds but if you hit it some where else it will run away and theres a possibility that it will come back just stay positive and be patient
To save anyone the trouble, newbie to cotw an all but this video can be summed up into "hunt near water".... what water you may ask ??? The blue kind.

I also suggest going in hirschfelden than going to the cornfields and hunting geese. It pays off big time.

Geese and Ducks seem to have big money payouts because geese dont seem to avoid pressured area

There is a lot of deer/moose, can confirm. I shot a female moose right into the heart and in the backside twice, 3 vital organ hits, and it was still over 75% health. I followed the tracks for about 10-15 minutes and it still hadn't lost any health. Gave up, went back to my tripod, and shot a doe 3 times too. Still over 75% health and lost it's tracks. I was fairly unlucky.
u need higher class ammo
Moose are class 8 but for best farming and quick kills you really need class 9 ammo
That’s why I hunt bison, any big game like a moose or elk either my 50 cal, 30-06, or 454
You are using softpoint the bullets they give you as starters wont work
Holy crap I got so much from the first spot.
still good june 2022. killed 5 moose, 1 rosvelt deer, 3 black tail deer, saw 2 coyotes, and saw the same black bear keep reappearing in same spot across lake.
Has it been patched since then bc it doesn’t work for me
It gives me anxiety that he waited so long to shoot on my game they would’ve seen him about100meters back from where he shot it
I just went to this spot (14/07/21) red hot. Heaps of kills. Set to 7am.
A little trick for spotting threw brush is to zoom in and out while spotting and it will show it

You could just pick an animal to grind like red deer for example......1500 each.........10+ tents on cautro.....

I hunted on Bolmont lake, 3 bucks and 1 doe and a moose with a 270 and one poor bunny with a 357.
Wow. So many kills. I spawned at the 1st spot and 12:00 and by way of foot traveled right where you directed. Long story short
3 moose and 1 deer all dead in the span of 5 minutes. I’ve never got that lucky before. Luckily I had my trusty bloodhound with me to confirm my trophies. Bring your bow and plenty of arrows! Even put an elite tent close by so I can re up on ammo. Thank you

I just went to this spot and got 4 moose, I wanted to get some Roosevelt elk but I wasn’t that lucky this time.

Doesn't work for me, i set the time to like 10:20 and go there but there is never an animal there. There is tracks and droppings but no animals.

Can someone please tell me how can i know when the deer or moose or any other animal is possible diamond? Is it about size or weight?
It's about the score of the animal. The bigger the animal is and the bigger horn and the more weight the more score the animal has. Right now Idk the exact score for Moose, but for black and white tail it's 277
My map looks different someone please help me do I need to explore that part to see it or what

How come i hit 1 moose, and after that nothing spawns anymore (Spot 1). I’m on the exact location at the right time in my tripod. Waited for 20min and nothing else came even close...
Try the times of day they come in the morning and after noon

Ya idk bro. The animals in this game are smarter than the animals irl. There was a deer in my yard the other day and i snuck up right behind him using some grass as cover and then yelled "boo!" In this game, if you even breathe within a mile of an animal, you wont see it.

sometimes im walking around for hours trying to find an animal in a specific region (quests) and i find absolutely nothing. The thing is, everything is covered by bushes and trees, and i dont want to go 0.5mph, crouch for literally 15 minutes to hopefully find an animal behind the trees that's on the run ;-;

Hey quick question, how do you guys kill elk? Cause Everytime I shoot one it's organs magically move out of the way and it's just a flesh wound and it's gone, i can put down bears, moose, every kind of deer in the bloody game but i cannot for the life of me kill a God damn elk.
Depends what fun ur using and to aim just to the right of the front shoulder

what if u don't have a quad or stand
Without a quad you can walk there. Without the tripod you can hide in a bush until you add too much hunting pressure and then change servers.

this might just be me but whenever i get on call of the wild in the main menu where you continue, select reserve, or new game, for me it doesn’t show downloadable content and i don’t know how to get downloadable content. could someone please help me out
I only know for playstation u just have to buy it from the ps store
On Xbox it’s through the Microsoft store. On Pc it is though the steam store. On PS4/PS5 it is on the PS store.
