Very entertaining group. I watched the performance from start to finish and I am glad i did. Thank you for promoting our Filipino culture to the world. Mabuhay 🙏🙏🙏
being a rondalla member during my elementary days, i am really delighted and happy to see these guys play rondalla music. kudos to everyone in the group.
Excelente 'rondalla', una agrupación musical de origen español. En Las Islas Canarias también se llama 'murgas'. 'La Tuna' es una agrupación musical universitaria. Great pleasure listen music, universal music, from Filipinas.
Beautiful! Welldone. Did not know that Rondalla's also were common in the Filipines (and in Michigan). But it makes sense since the Spaniards were there for 500 years and influenced the culture. Beautiful music. Lovely song. (from Arizona USA). We used to have a Rondalla, Mexican style, in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico and Nogales, Arizona. Check out the difference. We use a Mexican base "Guitarron" (big guitar) and Requintos (Soprano guitars). Search "Rondalla Apostolica de Nogales"
Almost all of our folk dances in the Philippines is accompanied by the rondalla, it's not just common, it's very prevalent ❤. We also have estudiantinas, cuerdas, and other ensembles. Also the Filipino bandurria has a unique set of strings, with 14 of them present in one instrument. I think we have a local version the guitarrón, which we call "bajo de uñas"
@@Carlo-nc9qw Very interesting. Did not know these facts. Also, the banduria is quite unique; almost a blend between the 12 string guitar, amd the mandolin, except 14 strings. Nice unique sound. Thank you for the information.
These are excellent musicians. You got outstanding performance!!!! You are all fantastic. I'll listen to your music again and again!!! Leo Florendo, COMPOSER, SONGWRITER, SINGER, MUSICIAN, California, USA

Wow. This reminded me of my elementary days in Lipa city, Philippines. Our group was named “ Dreamland Jr Rondalla” of Sto. Nino. I guess I have to buy a Banduria and refresh my skills.
WOW! University of Michigan has a Philippine Rondalla music studies. I loved listening to this music and reminded me when I was in Rondalla Group in MARHS (Paco, Manila, Philippines) playing the "Bandurria" and competing. Thanks a lot from Anaheim Hills, California (February 23, 2022).
