Excellent! Looks like a great route. I inadvertently did the Mickledore Route the first time I did Scafell. Great bit of steep, hands on the ground scrambling up scree.
@@GarethDaviesOutdoors cheers mate. It was very fun and will be a nice challenge come the winter. I think the route you're talking about was another one I was thinking of doing for that reason but don't think I'll get a chance to scout it out before I go for my winter 'walk' but I've no doubt I'll try the route at some point
The corridor route via Mickledore, the hardest and best route to the summit. Never underestimate the weather, go well prepared both with clothing and food, especially in winter. Allow five or six hours for the return trip from Seathwaite.
Corridor Route is a great route. My favourite way to get up Scafell Pike is via Piers Gill. I’ve got a vid on that way from Wasdale Head to meeting the Corridor Route. Oh, even us “trained navigators” get ‘locationally challenged’ sometimes! Just noticed your Tryfan vid, so gonna have a look at that. We did South Ridge earlier this year.
@@TonysTrails I haven't tried that route yet. Didn't think to go from Wasdale, probably thinking to try something completely different but Wasdale Lake head is a good start for multiple routes. Thanks for the reassurance on the nav. I appreciate it 👍 Tryfan is a great mountain from any direction!

Great video mate, gorgeous scenery! (Also, you know you've got a typo on your thumbnail?).
@@CorvusNumber6 cheers buddy. Yeah I spotted that after it'd gone up. 🤣 Can't win em all 🤷♂️
