👍👍as always! I'd just like to say thank you for for making modeling not just a hobby, We're not just model builders, we are artists, and the kits are our canvases, thank you again.
Just cracked open this kit after watching your video and now I'm forearmed thanks to your tips and tricks for this kit. You never fail to show me something new. Thanks again buddy!
Every time I buy a new kit I go to your channel and see your build of the kit before I start building. Thank you for such an informative channel. Keep up the good work.
Great video.. I just picked up this model and can't wait to get started.. This brings back a lot of memories, as my parents both owned almost identical 72 Jimmies.. They had bought a cabin on a rough dirt road and quickly realized they needed 4wd vehicles to get into it.. So my dad bought a Custom trim level version in Red for himself and my mom picked out the CST version in orange for herself.. She only kept hers for a handful of year, but my father kept his the rest of his life.. He kept it entirely stock except for an electronic distributor he added to help with cold starts in the snow.. When he finally passed away in 2009 my brother and I drove if for a few years before we decided to pass it on to another enthusiast. I've got a photo of me and my brother standing next to my moms Jimmy back in 72, and another photo of my own two boys standing next to my dads Jimmy in 2009,, I think I'll use those two photos as a backdrop for my model when it's done... ps,, just realized this model is missing the T handle to open the rear hatch.. gonna have to 3d print myself one...
"Lot of things look better with the top off" I needed that laugh today! Love watching your builds. So relaxing and I learn a lot. I just finished the AMT 1966 Buick Wildcat yesterday. Red with black interior like the real one I have on the way. First model I've built since the mid 70's. I think that makes me old! Have 6 more kits waiting to start on now. Just beginning this journey. Having fun getting tools, paints, work area set up. Lot of fun.
Chris, guy you do some nice builds in a 35 to 45 min build time. You have give me a few tips and tricks. I cant wait for the wedge truck build! Thanks as always for your videos!
Great job, that looks awesome, I love that style of the Chevy Blazer. I love how the top can be removed so you can see all the nice detail on the inside.
I have a full-size '71 GMC Jimmy -- 350 V8, SM465/NP205, 3.73 Posi. Blue body, white top. Years ago, I bought the 1/25 AMT Blazer kit, and had to source a GMC grille from a '68 GMC Fenderside [stepside] kit. Haven't built it yet.
The trailer hitch looking thing is the spare wheel mount for the cargo area, same as on the crew chief Blazer! Nice build, Chris! Stay safe and keep on building!
At first I’ve been hesitant on wanting to buy this kit, but after watching your video again, I noticed that it comes with Washington plates, that convinced me to go ahead and buy it, and build it.
Very nice build. Excellent choice for the colors. Love the kits that are coming back. Great tips on building this one. Get that resin truck built. Can’t wait to see that one. Keep up the great videos. Thank you so much.
Another awesome build. Was hoping for another build video for today after yesterday's video. I just bought the flameout hot rod and mack r truck off Amazon so can't wait for them to come.
Another great build . I love the color combo too . to let know I don't get any notices on up coming videos . I just click on youtube and search to see if anyone has any new ones
Great kit...love your channel. Have you ever showed your collection ? Or considered doing a video on showing your collection? I really like how you build your kits by using simple techniques...such as painting and not using an airbrush and worriing about how to Mix the paint and get the perfect color combination. Have a great day.
Great kit ,great build as usual. My father had one and it was a colour hard to describe. I want to say a very light green almost Robin's egg blueish. When i was a kid there was a kit called the Bushwacker yours reminded me of it. That kit was an awesome one to build back in the 70's. Can't remember what company made it then. Keep up the great work eh! ✌🇨🇦✌
Same exact kit, and it came with a mini bike on a bumper rack back then. From AMT. I had to google it but an image came up quick for that kit. Very cool!
Some of the best tires that came out were the Desert Dog tires that came with the CJ 5 model kit back in the 70s. I made full custom rollbar, lift kit ,KC lights. What a blast to just do what your imagination lets you do.
I’ve never had much luck using krylon paint, even with the lightest coats the paint seems so thin and it runs so easy.. I always go the rustoleum route now. Beautiful build as always, love the channel!!
I built the blazer version when I was a wee lad. It was molded in orange. I don't remember hotrod engine parts. I remember some off road tires. They weren't huge. Maybe they were 26" tall. It had some rally style chrome wheels.
My roof was warped on the bottom passenger side lower edge were it's between the bedrail and the side glass. I will try Hot water. Is that done by submerging it or just holding it above the surface to get steamed?
Awesome Job Chris. I'd like to get a set of those Off road tires for mine. That would be the perfect look. Did you have to sand the back of the chrome wheels alot to fit in the tires correctly.
Another great and *fun* build-up , *Chris* ! Now I have to get one of these ! ( my only nits -- and are *no* reflection on your build -- are : no brake master cylinder ; and those 5 lug wheels on the back -- 6 on the front ! Again , this is *not* a critique of your fine example ; it's Round2 et alia not towing - the - line on that detail . ). Thanks for the perfect timing of the upload of this review . As others' have stated , it's a welcome reprieve from the onslaught of political darkness .
Gotta love seeing R2 bringing back rare kits - especially those that online "scalpers" have been pushing prices into the "stupidsphere" - hey guys - they are called "kits" 'cause they are for BUILDING - and not for "HOARDING" in a "stash." Big question everyone - how many of our treasured "stashes" are heading for trash when those who survive us "dump" all "the old man's" silly collection [OUCH!]??? P.S. - That's besides the old kits hidden in the garage's rafters, under the stairs, etc., etc., etc. - or that "secret" storage locker you filled to overflowing years back....
Hi, nice kit. Can I ask you to guide me to the video where you apply the floor polish stuff on to the body? I just can't find it, you have so many videos. Thanks in advance.
I'm going to have to get this kit just for the decal sheet. I'm going to take the G and the ER off of Gasser and just put "swamp a --" and make it a Florida mud truck..😊
Im about to use mod podge for the 1st time on a windshield and headlights here soon is there anything i need to know about how to apply it ? I mean it seems pretty simple to understand and do just asking for tips.
As a random question for you have u had to paint chrome parts before on a model atm dealing with trying to paint parts of some wheels for my general lee build and also amazing job on this jimmy love it reminds me of the bronco i did
I’d love to know, would you make a full custom car with all your spare parts for a video for us??, don’t care what kind of car or what style, just would like to see something make from random bits.
I'd like to see someone take the all roof and drop it in the roots with 22-23in rims. I'm working on one now and I have 6 1984 Chevy kits that will be lowered with big rims.
👍👍as always! I'd just like to say thank you for for making modeling not just a hobby, We're not just model builders, we are artists, and the kits are our canvases, thank you again.

Another nice one! Down in sunny Florida the Jimmys and Blazers were everywhere!
I just bought the model kit of the '72 jimmy at the Walmart in Edinboro, PA, and it's a great looking model kit.
Thgank You for showing this kit.

I would love to have all your extras you don't use from all your build reviews, bet you got one heck of a spares collection. Sweet Jimmy!
Most get recycled, little is saved.
Another great looking build and another kit to add to the future purchase list.
Looking forward to more builds, thanks again Chris.
More to come!
70s Chevys are the best!!!! 👍👍
Thanks man!
I am going to age myself, but I have driven GMCs since the seventies. Awesome build!!

Really good job 👍 since the review is over if you didn't glue those wheels on you could always put on the ones you prefer, no one will know lol
Have to get this kit. Awesome build.

That’s an awesome kit
what brand and type is the metallic craft paint that you dry brushed on the chassis. it looks great
I can't wait to get mine.
Enjoy!
Looks like a fun build
Thanks man!
do you have to cut the hood if you wanted the intake trumpets showing ??
Yes
My roof was warped on the bottom passenger side lower edge were it's between the bedrail and the side glass. I will try Hot water. Is that done by submerging it or just holding it above the surface to get steamed?
Excellent kit. Great build. Too bad about the warp but it looks awesome. Great video.
Glad you like it!
Nice build, gotta get one to go with my blazer
You should!
Great build there Chris!! I'm alittle surprised you didn't scuff up/sand down the tires some this time.
Thanks man!
I've been waiting for this release for a long while, I have one on preorder with Modelroundup! I love this review Chris! Keep them coming!
Thanks, will do!
It looks great 👍 👌 nice job needs a roll bar lol 😆 please do the Black beard kit 😀

Did you clean the parts prior to gluing them together?
Awesome Job Chris. I'd like to get a set of those Off road tires for mine. That would be the perfect look. Did you have to sand the back of the chrome wheels alot to fit in the tires correctly.

That would be cool!
Really sharp love where u can take the top off putting on my list to buy ... Thanks for sharing
You’re welcome 😊
Amazing beautiful job you did on that truck model super and as always keep up your great work
Thank you very much!
Looks real nice mate👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Very nice build. Question- Do you use the Rustolium 2x paint and still use a primer or use regular Rustolium color with a primer.
Yes, I use primer almost all the time, regardless of what brand I'm putting on the model.
I hit the bell to get up dates
Im about to use mod podge for the 1st time on a windshield and headlights here soon is there anything i need to know about how to apply it ? I mean it seems pretty simple to understand and do just asking for tips.
I show it in the video. Literally in this very video I apply it and attach the glass.
Just finished mine only to find tailgate too wide. The triangle is a front towbar. Finished chevy pickup before that...no issues.
Very nice as always mate.👍 Good work.

I don’t know if I should do mine stock or drag
Would like to know if you ever built a model with spare parts and if so can you please show it
Another great video. I was hoping to see your new tools in use though
Thanks man!
Great video! Got 2 new kits in the works. Question, do recommend Delicate Surface tape for masking the body for 2-tone effect?
I have no idea what that tape is.
I use Washi tape for the lines. Masking tape for large coverage.
@@hpiguy it's painters tape... Scotch and Frogtape provide it available at Lowes or HD. Will give it a try and let you know.
I did same thing but I made it into a work truck with working tailgate and carried power tools and more modern color for 21st century
I just got that same kit. I don’t have a use for the tires, that came with mine. Would you be interested in them?
No, but thanks, I get plenty of stuff in for the show, I'd rather see it go to others that need it more.
You’re Welcome. I’ll be using different wheels and tires, but I’m already planning on how I’m going to be building mine.
I'd like to see someone take the all roof and drop it in the roots with 22-23in rims. I'm working on one now and I have 6 1984 Chevy kits that will be lowered with big rims.
Hey Chris it looks good my question before I buy it is this the crew chief in disguise?
No idea, the model experts will know.
Can you put together a 78 Chevy Blazer PullDozer
nice
Thanks!
Now that you have built it, you could put on those Firestone off road tires on it.
Yes
I like the blue and white to. Your channel makes my bank account sweat !!
Thanks man! LOL
Do you enter youre models in model shows they are so good i bet they would be a croud favrite
No, I don't judge others models and don't want others judging mine. Sucks the fun out of it. Thanks man!
