You low key did that step by step brother. Thankyou.
Finally!!! I love the POV when you’re strapping. Gives me a better idea when you show both your hands working and use a GoPro. Definitely glad I found your channel!!
Thanks for watching bro!
@@HotshotMacc absolutely. Thank you for all the great info. Do you have an email I can send you a question bro? I’ve reached out to numerous hotshot RUclipsrs but none have replied. Please and thank you.
Looks good. On the lasso straps the black sleeve is suppose to go in the ring and the point of contact should be inline with the axle (i.e. straight down to the trailer) with 10 and 2 as you mentioned.
That’s what thats for lol I always wondered why is there one of them if they are for the tire but I know now! i saw you comment, picked up another truck today and put the black sleeve through the ring! Thanks you! Appreciate this advice man!
Any time bought a dodge 3500 6.7 diesel and a 40 foot gooseneck trailer I tell the haters if I make it, I make it and I don't, I don't I won't be the first or the last I'm going to give shot a it. Trying to learn a new trade I was a hazmat tanker driver for 40 year time for change
Thanks so much for this video, you have opened up my eyes in a very big way! Keep up the awesome work you do!
Great video, thank you Macc!
Nice to see you again Tim . i was wondering whether you are still hot shotting u took long time without giving your fans a video .but finally here we are . Thanks keep them moving.

Appreciate that as always bro!
Your videos are awesome!! Very professional and extremely helpful. I saw you replied to someone’s comment mentioning changes that will happen in 2022, is there a specific app or website you follow relating to DOT regulations and compliance?? Thank you
Bro! Thank you so much for sharing this video thank you for doing this video especially on the way to tarp it makes more sense to me now new to your channel looking forward to all of your videos
Glad it was helpful!
Bro I truly appreciate you, I'm looking into a truck and I'm definitely getting into this
Glad I could help
Just make sure you ask all questions especially about over head.
Good job 👍
Awesome videos dude! Keep em coming. I do not even Hot Shot but enjoy the educational videos. Maybe one day.
Thanks bro! Appreciate that 🔥
Yo Mac Preciate your vid bro, I’m getting into this hotshot deal myself within the month and you got good tips on your vid. Preciate it bro, safe travels 👍
Glad I could help
Awesome video, thanks
Thanks bro!
Solid video bud like the carpet trick. Lil things make the difference
Thanks bro!
Excellent video and work💪👍
Thank you! 💯
The black sleeve on the tire straps is to protect where the steel loop and strap make contact.
Wow this help me get a clear understanding how to tarp. Lol I been driving big trucks 11+yes and NVR tarp and always wanted to see how it was done
I am glad I could help! 🔥🙏🏽
Nice training video
Thanks bro
I appreciate you making the video I suggested. so far I've saved 13k I can't wait to get buy a truck and trailer and get out on the road too!
No problem bro, glad I could help
Great job brother 👍
Thanks!
Look nice . 🙏🏽
Good video !
Glad you enjoyed it
Macc good tips bro 👍
Thanks bro glad it helped!
Secure load 🔥🔥 Htown lol
Good job
Thanks!
Like watching your videos bro awsome just a little tip the black sleeve gose were the ring is for the ring not to wear out the strap safe trip
Correct.
Just realized that from another comment! I was wondering why there was only one lol but I did a vehicle after that and put the black sleeve in the ring! Appreciate the tip man! Thanks!
Keep running into this vid, good content. Having issues with this strapping method for bigger vehicles such as your example. Bigger trucks keep moving back and forth, what to do to avoid this, straps keep coming loose due to lack of tension on movement. Thanks 🙏🏻
Appreciate that bro, for bigger vehicles I do more than just the lasso straps and use chains and binders as well.
🔥🔥🔥
I will join your training class
Is the transmission going to MO or KY?
Edge protector on the dunnage?
Cool video. You inspired me to try to get into this. Non cdl Seems like a good place to start. Then move up to class a stuff down the road. I’m looking at getting a 2500 Cummins and a 32 foot trailer. Any advice?
That's similar set-up how I started! Keep researching and find set up that works with your finances.
Thank you for this video. I always had questions on how to secure a load properly. I'm definitely going to start a hotshot business and would like to know all of what I'll need to do so. Do you plan on getting your CDL? How would that benefit you more? Thanks again!
Glad it helped bro. Yes I’m in the process of getting my CDL. It will benefit more with load options and making more money. Right now the market is saturated and everyone is starting non cdl so it’s better to get CDL even before February 2022 bc of the changes that are gonna happen.
When your taping are you on duty but the driving clock is stopped ?
Awesome, always wonder how you guys secure the loads. How much experience you have before you started hot shot ?
Thanks bro. I had zero experience with load securement when I started. Just watched a lot of RUclips videos and got some help from a friend via FaceTime
I noticed on your Amazon equipment list that you have a 500W inverter. That kind (the cheaper ones) are modified sine wave output. The ones that you probably want to get are the pure sine wave output inverters. They cost a little more, but if you're charging laptops, rechargeable tool batteries, and other sensitive electronics, the cheaper one can damage or decrease the life expectancy of those devices. I recommend spending a bit more and not losing any sleep over it.
Good advice bro I appreciate that!
Where is his Amazon equipment list (video)
I’m new in hot driving and I’m learning a lot from you. Can you tell a difference in the way the truck drives if you are loaded closer to front of the trailer rather than towards the back on the axles? ( majority of the weight on the axles)
Thanks for watching! There’s definitely a difference in how the truck drives. Your distribution will definitely have an effect on you jumping around in the truck and getting a lot of pushing and tugging
How ya'll managing with this ELD. I keep running into my 14hrs, especially when taking a little long strapping or tarping loads. I don't hear many talking about ELD limitations. Appreciate the videos, great help!
It gets better over time once you get more efficient. Unfortunately there’s no way around it .
Hey Macc, what kind of Ram truck would be best for the hot shot non cdl??
It all depends if n what type of operations you are running. But I have detail videos covering the truck I used for non-cdl
Cool tips bro. Where do you buy your tarps ands straps?
Thanks bro. I got them from myteeproducts.com
What's up Mr.& Mrs. Macc, my name is Leon with Fastway Courier Trucking LLC.
Hotshot are you able to pick up loads from locations that your dispatch has not sent you maybe something you found on load board?
Not while I was leased on
Bro, you doing great bro! I’m a ex 18 wheeler driver and I’ve been looking into doing hotshot! Now with you being non-cdl, how much weight can I haul without going over 26,000 pounds? Just trying to weight my options with doing cdl hotshot compared to non-cdl! Can you do a scale video? Thanks for your help!
Great idea I should do a scale video. But honestly the way things are now with rates being so bad and so many getting into the industry, I say go in with a CDL set up. I can scale up to 9 or 10k lbs on my trailer and still be under. But having the option to go heavier would give me more options. Thanks for the feedback bro and sorry for the delayed response.
Great video love the tarping. Do you charge more for tarping being that is more in labor. Just a question.
To be honest they should but the brokers don’t want to pay.
I heard that! Keep dem videos going great info ! Almost all caught up on them ur that Inspiration 💯
What is trap size and weight and how many bungee do you have and what size( good job keep it up) Rudy G.
This tarp size was 27’x16’ 14oz super lightweight steel tarp with 4ft drops. It weighed about 50lbs
How many bungee straps do you carry with you
the one thing i saw is you put your flat hooks and bungees outside the rub rail that is not always a good idea considering its called a rub rail. but other then that great info love the vids stay safe
How many tarps, bungee cards, straps, and blankets you suggest i get
2 tarps, 50 bungees, 8-10 4” straps, 6-12 2” straps and 12 blankets if your running non cdl with a trailer less than 40ft. I have a video dropping next week on securement equipment 💪🏽💯
I am trying to figure out what truck to get I want a dually but I see you doing it with your truck so if I don’t have to get the dually I rather go with your make and model if I can tow a lot of weight with the truck you are using then I will go for it because this truck will be my personal truck and work truck
I started with what I had which was a 2500 truck and I don't have a CDL. So it worked out for me to get my foot in, before I make bigger investments. Also if you are starting up with no experience its not bad to go to school to get a CDL.
How can I learn glow to secure a load? Using chains binders tarps etc?
Depending on where your located, maybe an in person securement class.
Question for you do you ever run into issues where you have to deny a load because you can’t tow that load because you have a limit of 19,000 lbs ?
Not as of yet bro! I am non CDL
Whats the reasoning behind twisting the straps when you tighten them down?
If you don’t twist the strap you will hear a humming sound or the strap will flap the entire trip (very annoying). If it hums or flaps during the trip, the straps are more likely to come loose.
Where did you get the tarp from?
Myteeproducts.com
Where u get ur tarp from?
Mytee products. Got the link in my description 🫡
Hey, where did you get your securement stuff and tarps?
www.amazon.com/shop/hotshot_macc
Sweet, thanks man. Just loaded up my cart and will be pulling the trigger soon. Appreciate it. Maybe see you in the road some time, somewhere
@@HotshotMacc ... say bro I'm about to get into this do you hold a securment course...
How do you get around your 10,000 lb GVWR of that truck and Axle rating of that truck? I have the same truck and am over weight with no load, just an empty trailer.
That doesn’t sound right bro.
Where do you get your tarps from?
withkoji.com/@Hotshotmacc Everything for securement items and essentials are in my link.
How much is that black cargo cover
I paid $220 for my tarps.
Also what is the model # for your first trailer?
Im not sure of top my head brotha
So…twist strapping is a good method? I’m just asking to understand why.
It depends when it’s used. I use it when the load is high and I know the strap is gonna flap.
😇💪🏽😇
Do you have an air ride trailer? It is a better trailer.
ruclips.net/video/w7a4u32mWDY/видео.html
What is the towing capacity of your truck ??
19,680 Pounds
ruclips.net/video/NExwEfllEKw/видео.html
With a CDL can I go over 19k in weight with your setup?
How much weight u push for?
9k tops
@@HotshotMacc I’m allowed 10.5k and was trying to stay around 10 or less. I’m sitn in New Mexico headed to Phoenix with my 3rd load. I told my dispatch lady I wasn’t ready go home I done spent way to much money getting started I need get my bank back up top.
@@brandonhester6096 bro I know thats right! I stayed out 3 weeks on my first run…that’s a good weight to be up at, I can technically do 11k based on my setup but I try not to take anything over 9k just bc of all the stress on the equipment. But that’s what’s up bro keep grinding out there 💪🏽💯
What type of tarp is that?
Is a light weight steel tarp
@@HotshotMacc thanks Macc
What kind of truck is that ...?
Dodge Ram 2500. I made a video about it. ruclips.net/video/NExwEfllEKw/видео.html
Bro put some shorts on before you faint lol 😵💫
lol I probably had ran out of clothes 😩🤣
You didn't say she ain't going no where, thats the key
Lol ok
Overweight? If those are 8k axles your rated for maybe 9k on bed. Even if your apportioning for more weight still bad on hubs just ask tow piglet lol. Tarp job big fire odd dimensions are tough. Hey for bungee chords some of my guys take a pipe and stretch bungee over so to tangled.
Keep earning that paper ..
Yeah I don’t usually put that much weight on my trailer. And your right. Appreciate the info man.
Lose or turn down by 1/2 the volume on that back ground "music". Please!
Good work bro! Keep grindin!!!!! IG: @bradfordLegacyLogistics
Appreciate you bro!
