As someone who works in the sign industry and has removed and installed vehicle graphics… DO NOT USE ACETONE! It will destroy your paint. There are paint friendly adhesive removers you can purchase at sign shops. You can also ask for tips.
Hey so I think if you black out the tail lights, headlights, and also all the windows, the car could turn as a great build! Also don't forget to add about 3 spoilers, some cool stickers and an straight pipe made of out copper or pvc tube for plumbing!
Don't ever use acetone on paint again, to get rid of glue. I'm surprised it didn't take the clear coat or paint off. Use Goof Off or Goo Gone, and then clean that off with soap and water. Acetone is only safe to use on glass, bare metal, or chrome. Acetone can even weaken powdercoat, I've learned that the hard way.
Bro, I de-badge everything I own too. Acetone is NOT the way to go. Acetone WILL ruin your clear coat and plastic no matter how careful you are. You can use 3M adhesive remover or something in that family to get it done without ruining your clear coat and plastic parts using acetone.

I don't agree with people taking stuff off their new cars but this was actually pretty good.
Those chrome cosmetics were a touch of class on that black luxury car, now its a ghetto automobile!!
Get a spray can of black paint and cover everything.
Balls to the walls with black. You’re already this far, and it would contribute sooooo much to the really cool aesthetic.
I personally don't like debadging cars but still looks nice tbf and cool you tried it yourself. Can only learn by doing things yourself
Nice Lexus, I’d love to drive one. Great cars.
Tints chrome:
“Check out my build”
Cool car man . Id do all that too, except black out reflectors. I like them on this car. 👍🏼✌🏻
Reflectors are REQUIRED in most states. You can be ticketed for covering them up.
Someone with traffic law knowledges answer this question: Is it illegal to block those two reflectors in the back?
Tip use a rubber wheel instead you ruin your paint might as well re paint that section
P.s gasoline helps to
As someone who works in the sign industry and has removed and installed vehicle graphics… DO NOT USE ACETONE! It will destroy your paint. There are paint friendly adhesive removers you can purchase at sign shops. You can also ask for tips.
When I first heard it I thought he said " now I know why people who rob cars charge so much" 😂
You can use rapid remover to remove the adhesive. Its used in the car wrap industry. Its safer then acidtone
the chrome is fire though, you should have gotten some chrome rims, lexus is pure luxury.
Hey so I think if you black out the tail lights, headlights, and also all the windows, the car could turn as a great build! Also don't forget to add about 3 spoilers, some cool stickers and an straight pipe made of out copper or pvc tube for plumbing!
The dental floss is genius , I just been pulling by hand after heated for 30+ years
Don't ever use acetone on paint again, to get rid of glue.
Any citrus dish soap and water will easily remove adhesives from car paint. Gentle on the clear coat too.
I think not having reflectors, you know... REFLECT, is illegal.
