for electronics, east coast sabers did a video series called "Lets Build a Graflex" obviously a different chassis will be needed but the bulk of electronics are there and easy to follow, also check out the r/lightsabers subreddit, where people are always happy to lend a hand.
@@StarWarsIRL r/lightsabers can help you with anything and everything you need. I would suggest a neopixel blade in that. There are a lot of instructional videos on how to make them but you can get by with buying one prebuilt if you want to save time and the pain of sourcing the parts. Your gonna want good LEDs I think 144 LEDs per meter strip I'm not sure off the top of my head.
Hey man! I actually have also been learning how to install electronics in my couple sabers and have picked up a ton of knowledge. I'd be happy to pass along my knowledge if you want to chat about some stuff, but didn't want to intrude. I'm so glad you want to build on your own as it is SO rewarding to do and does make you feel like a Jedi. Literally you just having some soldering experience means you'll be a massive step ahead of most beginners, so this will be fun! Can't wait to see the finished product regardless!
Most saber companies have plug and play electronics. Super easy to put together and it still feels like your assembling your own saber. I made my own saber from Saberforge (I live somewhat locally to them), so I just picked up the individual parts with the plug and play, and assembled it myself.
Reach out to Phoenix props. You’ll need to figure out what kind of chassis you need to hold the battery, speaker, sound board, and recharge port. Someone has probably already modeled one for this saber before and you might even be able to buy a 3D print of it on shapeways. Since it’s your first time, consider doing in-hilt led and something like a nano biscotti by plecter labs. I’m working on an instal right now myself. I’m not the most knowledgeable but I can easily put you in contact with people who are. May the force be with you!
Get the proffieboard from profezzorn on the rebel armory forums or get a verso for more basic stuff but the same functions as the proffieboard! I highly highly recommend those two boards
First off, just found your channel and I've been watching so many of your videos! Secondly, LOVE THAT A REBELS FAN IS ON HERE!! There are just a lot of people who hate Rebels and it makes me sad. But now there's you! And I'm happy :)). Thirdly, Kallus is Spectre 8. C'mon! He's by far the most involved with them outside of the actual known Spectres. Also, Zeb and Kallus. Just putting that out there.
That's an awesome saber hilt. The custom saber shop sells all you need for electronics. You'll need a sound module, speaker, tri cree led, switch, batteries, did it come with a heat sink? Lots of good tutorials on here.
Funnily enough when he said “I’m not gonna bore you and just do a time lapse” I was like “WHAT NO!!” I love watching Adam Savage one day builds, so. Don’t know if you’ve got the footage with audio and with good frame rate, but if ya do, maybe post it..? I’d definitely watch it.
Yes you have to build it yourself! I saw a RUclips video where someone took a soundboard from a cheap Walmart kids lightsaber and installed it into their own build.
Professional installers are always a good option, I would look at their reviews first before shipping that masterpiece of a saber off, but it would be really cool to see you do it yourself, can’t wait
Do your own wiring! It's super fun and rewarding! I followed a few tutorials online and was able to get it done without too many issues. I would recommend either a Nano Biscotte V4 sound board or, if you wanna get real fancy, do a neopixel build. A lot of electronics can be found on the custom saber shop website.
SWIRL asked to put “I agree” in the comments, so.... I agree (Also, Specter 8, in a non-weird sense, a feel like should be Fulcrum Ahsoka, just saying)
The great thing about electronics in the modern day, is that you only need a vague idea of what you’re doing. The good manufacturers make this stuff as intuitive and well documented as possible, and there’s also an army of professionals and hobbyists out there to offer their two cents
This is exhilarating to watch but a bit heartbreaking when you go to find one. Watto doesn’t make them, and oddly no other saber-makers have a version of Ezra’s iconic saber. I assumed Disney might put one out at their parks, but sadly no. And the more time that passes between Rebel’s initial release and surge in public awareness and popularity and now, the less likely it seems anyone will. It’s beautiful and I envy the heck out of it!
I love your vids you are making my dreams come true 😂 also did you know Hayden christensens middle name is Amanda? And a STAPLE GUN LIGHTSABER!!!!! They need to make one with the back pack that activates it that would be cool as heck!
complex lightsaber with built in fire arm for advanced defence and can be used in any form of battle and of of the most unique lightsabers everyone: staple gun
Google the custom saber shop. You can even get pre-built internals there. Long ago I wired my own. Granted, saber technology has advanced quite a bit, but I'd still recommend getting it professional installed unless you plan on doing it often. If you still want to DIY, get a cheap empty hilt somewhere to practice on first (or build you own empty at TCSS).
One thing you can do is try and figure out if the electronics from a galxies edge lightsaber would fit in there. If they do you can reprogram the sounds and the color of the saber and the get lights and sounds installed for the blaster portion.
For electronics you should definitely do some research on the custom saber shop, one of my favorite places to buy everything lightsaber related, they have all kinds of electronics, and a RUclips channel that has installation tutorials for their electronics
Sir James has a review on an Erza version that works with the Galaxys edge sabers. In fact they are individual pieces i believe like Galaxy's edge sabers
Use an obsidian sound board and for lighting use a Neopixel Led strip, Also watch Punished Props Lightsaber build i found it very useful when it comes to building a Lightsaber.
It’s actually a pistol not a staple gun it is used to hide the lightsaber so imperials wont know its a lightsaber. Edit: but I can see why you think it’s a staple gun it looks like one
On the ultrasabers website, there are options where you can get *just* the electronics without the hilt, but I’m not sure how it will work with that kind of hilt
If its just like with the L.E.D's then what you need to do is,(and I don't know if the handles hallow or not but I'm just guessing)I use the button on the handle as a guide as to where you can put an on off switch and then as soon as you have the switch set ,from there you can wire the L.E.D's to the emitter, and if you want a blade,if you have a rotory tool you can widen the hole where the emitter is and on a seperate side can have a bolt be secure to the blade so it doesnt fall out, hope I help in some way love your vids keep it up
Soundboard: Crystal Focus 10 or Proffie Board Parts and other electronics: The Custom Saber Shop OOOH, theres also some good etsy sellers that made 3d printed chassis.

The best quarantine entertainment right here!

A real Jedi builds his own lightsaber, these are first steps.
It is a right of passage to any apprentice

So I wasted £250 on buying a lightsaber 😂
I'm not a Rebels fan, but the saber looks cool.

Your enthusiasm and excitement is always so infectious. Makes me smile every time.
Also, lol @ "Sabezra love child?" I hear you there.
Wow that looks genuinely like a Ezra saber IRL.
I've been subbed since around 16k and now you're so close to 100k. You deserve a million subs.

YESSS THAT WAS MY FAVORITE VIDEO BY U AND NOW THERE IS A PART 2
Who else thinks he deserves more subs for all the work he puts in
One of my favourite Star Wars channels
I agree
I love Ezra Bridger. His weapon is so cool. Too bad it was destroyed by Vader on Malachor.
Too bad my arse. The concept fuckin sucked

Awesome video! The saber looks awesome and it would be cool to see you try and do the light and sound but you can do whatever you want with it though.
Probably the most unique light saber ever. Obi wan would hate it being how uncivilized it is....
It looks so sick! You're luckyyy

im just saying this is really good
I only recently found this channel and I already love it.
it surprises me that you don't have more subscribers, your videos are so high quality. just like watching a review that is made by a big studio
That green saber unboxing was a spiritual experience

Yes I absolutely love this light saber.

Will Hamilton I love watching Adam savage as well.
Spectre 8 is actually ME!
It’s weird to be watching one of ur vids and it not already have like “1 billion” views
I’m a day early! That still counts for me! Cuz at least it’s not a year old like most vids I watch. Also Spector 8 would be cal kestis

I don’t know why, but I have always loved Ezra’s staple gun lightsaber

Omg I’m a huge Rebels fan!! I love the lightsaber!!!😍😍👏👏
I have been WAITING FOR THISSS
Im actually early for once, whattttt
Omg only two views
When I was watching
That is a really cool saber! It’s beyond screen accurate! But I wish it had electronics.
On the ultrasabers website, there are options where you can get *just* the electronics without the hilt, but I’m not sure how it will work with that kind of hilt
Your the best Star Wars youtuber
can someone tell me how this dude has only 100k subs? He deserves 1M at least.
It’s ok bro. I just started learning how to fix my SaberForge lightsaber.
I just realised this was uploaded on my birthday
Amazing lightsaber!
Nope. The concept sucked

Happy to help if you need it brother! I installed my sabers!
I really want him to build it himself
perfect quarantine content hehe
FYI Video content starts at 3:15, actually that’s generous; skip to 5:41 to see the saber.
I think the hilt is to small to fit saber electronics, but you could order the Savi compatible version off of Etsy for combat
I really hope you get to be in Theory’s episode 2!
Spectre 8= ap-5. Duh☺ great vid man
Nice job man 👍
I like your necklace, it's dope.
I've always wondered, can you spin the ezra saber say the obi ani spin just as the others could, or does the handle gaurd thing would get in the way.
1)I didn’t get my notification! Slightly salty...RUclips... 2) oh my gosh it’s sooo cool 3) that sliding time lapse b roll 😎
quick question what currency is this in and what is its actual price in said currency cause ezras 1st saber looks so bad ass
You honestly look like how I would imagine an older Ezra to look like 😂😂
I call our staple gun Ezra's lightsaber.
When he says "Hello There" I just must say general Kenobi
MAN....your filmmaking skill are so...cool😅😅
