i'm 21 years old. so this quite literally was performed around the time i was born (i'm a summer baby too.). i will forever be upset at the fact that I will never see chester bennington perform live ever. he really left too soon. even my mom, who is a religious hispanic woman, loves it when chester does these screams, she would tell me how she could feel the emotions coming from his voice.

I didn’t give Linkin park much of a chance growing up (fell into the “this band is for edgy 12 year olds” mentality), so now that in my early 20s I’ve gained such a stronger appreciation for music in general, makes me feel pretty shitty that I’ll never get to see such a great performer live. You know, I've been listening to a lot of these live Linkin Park performances and have been loving all of them! I also feel like I've been scrolling through the comment sections often and have noticed some people saying something to the effect of: "Chester's a mediocre singer." I don't know how you can listen to something like this and truly think that - the man was singing and screaming at such high qualities throughout whole entire shows! One of the other things that bothers me is that some people seem not to recognize, for some reason, that Chester is not just some one-dimensional voice - he's someone who's had to deal with so much pain and suffering to come up with a lot of the lyrics! He's not just a voice; he was a man who was fighting an enemy who's all too familiar - the person standing in the mirror. So, I think this whole notion of mediocrity is really disrespectful - there's nothing, in any way, that is mediocre about Chester Bennington! From what I've seen, and from what most others have seen, I would say that Chester really was a fun loving soul: he was always the comedian with a broad smile on his face - he just genuinely wanted to make others happy - probably why he is such a loveable character. I don't know whether heaven exists; however, if it does, Chester, I hope you're up there watching your children develop into wonderful people! I know they will! If anyone read this, thanks for letting me vent!

I was one of those kids who was a bit torn, and like songs where the person showed that they were too. We were blessed to have Chester.. But point being.. This was in 2004.. I'll never forget how my childhood was so great with bands that were the best of our time, and in a simpler time.. Remember when our parents took care of us and we had no worries besides asking them for CD player batteries? Let's teach our youth what our parents tried to; Hold on to these memories. They're going to bring you back on a random date when you're playing Tekken 8 as a demo, and you think back to the man who showed you all the things you know cause he raised you, including Tekken.. Your dad. Man, I wish we all had a do-over button just once..
