''Each workout is like a brick in a building, and every time you go in there and do a half-ass workout, you're not laying a brick down. Somebody else is.'' -Dorian Yates
Man please do not get confused. This ain't a beauty contest, physique, classic physique and other kind of shits, this is BODYBUILDING and 1:31 is just what bodybuilding is all about. Hard, defined, overdeveloped muscles with minimum body fat and water retention. His back is propably the best work of art in the history of bodybuilding, along with Tom Platz legs. At beauty contests you expect to see something eye pleasing, but at bodybuilding ones you expect to see a back like Dorian's!!
Notice - no headphones - just that crazy motivational spotter. Insane intensity. Thick and hard - but, he admitted he didn't leave enough recovery time after he got injured. Watch this, watch Ronnie Coleman then watch other BB's that train moderately intense and just use volume to overload the muscles. They don't get the same granite hard look as these guys had. Risk is - injury.
Luch when U watch this videos of dorian yates. Do U notice he does not lifts much heavy as Ronnie coleman or jay cutler. 4-5 plates of 45 pounds on each side for chest press or bent over. Thats it. What he does he lifts with proper form..... 3 secs to eccentric concentration.
anyone that has actually attempted Dorian's Blood and Guts workout quickly realises how much of a beast he was. I tried it, quickly realised I was not ready for it and started to train to get myself to a stage where I was able to actually do the workout! When you walk out of the gym panicking because of the pain you are already in, knowing full well it's going to get worse and already looking forward to the next session you start to get some idea of where he was mentally! Looking at the blood and guts footage of Dorian, seeing the agony that he was putting himself through you understand that there will never be another Dorian because no one these days has that level of masochistic intent!
I like to watch his training because it motivates me. I learned a lot with Dorian Yates. I didn’t see him in the Olympia but I know that he was the best.
This video is without a doubt one of you best videos you've ever made. I start it up and my adrenaline is kicking in. It's now one o'clock at night and I just want to go to the gym and lift weights with brutal intensity. Keep it up. You're great. Dorian is awedome.
For me the greatest in terms of having everything, sure his biceps weren't the best or even his chest or his delts but everything fitted aesthetically in DY. His conditioning and vascularity and look was and is unmatched

How big he would actually be today than then, with all the upgrades in training knowledge, nutrition, supplements ect ect, all u gotta do is look at all of them then and now, like your saying....., I could only imagine .
@@redstaplerguyforlifepastpr5763 Not that different actually. Now he could get away with being slightly bigger and still in good condition. So he would compete closer to the 1993 photo shoot condition. But maybe with the more developed knowledge now. He could be that size / weight, but even more lean. Also as he said with the knowledge he has now. He wouldn't tear his muscles while training with the same intensity, close to a contest with the low fat%. Dorian's conditioning has always been top knotch. his HIT training method is excellent. hurts like hell but brings results. in his words "if you want to feel the burn go to a Jane fonda class" feel the pain.
