It’s funny the story starts centered around v’s need for survival at any cost. V thinks they have nothing to lose so they take unbelievable risks and kill countless enemies for the faintest chance for a cure, why not right? They had lost their best friend and everything else that mattered to them, but later as v progresses they meet people and become friends or lovers with some of them, and get back some things worth living for not just worth dying for. So then things change v can survive if they sacrifice everything that makes life worth living and ether become a legend or just another face in the crowd. Or give up there dream and hopes for survival and spend there days with the ones they love. What matters more to them in the end their legend, life, or loved ones?
It's fascinating to see how the story begins with V's primal instinct for survival, a drive ultimately fuelled by desperation and loss. The journey is marked by crazy risks and a willingness to do whatever is necessary at the slimmest chance for a cure. The devs captured the spirit of a character who believes they have nothing to lose. But as V progresses and evolves, a shift occurs. Connections they didn’t mean to form are formed, friendships and love emerge, and V revives aspects of their life that don’t directly relate to one's survival. Eventually, the question starts to be asked: What truly matters to V in the end? Is it the pursuit of being a living legend through sacrificing everything, or is it the simple joys of living a life in the company of loved ones? V developing these connections allows them to confront the most significant choice they’ll ever make: to become a legend at the cost of their happiness or to embrace a quieter, more fulfilling existence with those they love.
Low key that last part is how I always viewed the three life’s paths. Of course I always saw Street Kid V choosing Legend, Corpo Choosing life, and loved ones being chose by my Nomad Vs
It felt like so much more than a Cyberpunk tribute. This… this is what we feel when we live through the story of someone who lost everything time and time again, and never let it stop them from moving forward
It's been a good day. The growth we see in Johnny and V is great, going from people who just care about their own needs, to willing to give up their own chance of survival so someone like So-Mi can get it.
“Wrong city. Wrong people.” V looks down at So-Mi. After all the bodies, the betrayals, the lies. In this moment, V could see it. A chance. “Maybe Johnny. But right here, right now.” V picks up So-Mi and starts walking towards the shuttle. “She’s in the right place. With the right person.” V wouldn’t abandon her. That was the promise they made. And they were going to keep it.
Female V really brings the gravity of situations and emotions, you go from trying to become a legend, to sheer survival, existence. The growth between Johnny and V hits hardest with her because the emotion in her voice. I'm torn whether I want my canon to be. Really wanted the option to just burn the city and walk away. Which maybe the aldecano ending is, they helped you, and you escape the city to roam the wilds with the one you love. Close enough I guess. The story hits hard as one who is dealing with their own depression, but also losing those close recently. This is one of two games who hit hard emotionally, for that reason.
@@RememberTheDuckThis is a thug life story.Obviously dramatic futuristic but this is story that happens everyday where I’m from young man thinking there purpose and glory in the streets. Having friends die in the process and very view question what there doing and the few that manage to escape that life lose everything and everyone in the process street kid mentality is real out here most people don’t know it.
As someone who has dealt with depression and negative thoughts in the past V’s and So Mi’s stories resonated so much with me. How it is to fight for another day but also seeing pulling the plug as the only hope for something better…In my headcanon I like to imagine that both the endings I chose for them allowed them to live and be free. Not under NUSA’s thumb or with a time ticking bomb in their heads. Because life is worth living when you do things on your own terms. This video was awesome choom. Thanks for the heartfelt emotional damage
I don't mean to make an assumption, but it sounds like you've overcome these thoughts and feelings, and if that's the case, that is genuinely amazing to hear. Thank you for watching and for sharing, choom!
I've played almost 400 hours of this game, and I still keep coming back to discover places I've never seen before, keep taking lots of pictures and I keep visiting some buildings several times because I love its architecture, I like to imagine that it is a real city and to walk in it quietly., and sometimes try out many of the coolest mods, it's not a perfect game, but it's definitely my favorite game.
Honestly, I hope V doesn't come back, their story was perfectly cyberpunk, with no good ending where everyone gets to be happy, and no easy solution, they struggled, killed, lied, and fought against a city that would have them killed In a heartbeat, their story was about a human fighting a world that never shows mercy, so in the end I think V and there story is done, maybe a few bits of lore in the next game but I can honestly say that V and there legend is exactly the perfect cyberpunk ending
I have a feeling well more than a feeling Orion will start with the crystal palace gig at the end of cp77. While I don't think V will be the main character I know there will be plenty of easter eggs to find and perhaps we can save her once and for all.. O I will be spending 5 or 6k usd on a better computer just to play that game.. We all love V.. Because we all ... Are V.
@@palienastra1 if you think that is the canon ending, i have nothing against it. I stand with the star ending, Cyberpunk 77 created a structure to build the story on and V as the main character would fit it because she/he learned the same things as we did. And i don't see myself as V. :P
hmmm probably not about V anymore, maybe about K 🤣 ...but if they are faithful to the lore, the game will still take place in Night City, maybe at a different date, and with design improvements.
I keep coming back to the video, the clip selection, the music, the narrative it creates. The inclusion of Nietzsche, and Hemingway's quotes are so eloquent. Welcome to Night City. Wrong city, Wrong people.
Beautiful tribute. The journey you experience with Johnny is really incredible. Unlike any other game I’ve played. The themes of death, change, and moving on really hit hard especially in Phantom Liberty. I love that final conversation with Johnny and having him call V Valerie. The performances from Cherami Leigh, Keanu, and Minji Chang were incredibly heartbreaking.
Fantastic tribute Amaranth. Two days back, I completed my first playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077 (coincidentally on its 3 year anniversary). Not since GTA 4 have I loved an open-world game this much, not since the first 3 Metal Gear Solid titles have I connected with a game story, and not since Fullmetal Alchemist have I connected with a fictional story and themes this much. There might be better stories, but imo, Cyberpunk is my favourite story of all time. The themes of the value of one's soul, whether to make it big in your youth, or wither away old, to never stop fighting, whether you can help people and make a difference in a indifferent city, if you will be remembered when you're gone, finding newfound people who love you, everything here resonates strongly with me. The world of Cyberpunk has given me some of the greatest characters I've ever been invested and engrossed in, learning and helping their journeys and arcs, whether it's helping Kerry be independent, helping Panam and her conflict with the Aldecaldos and her helping V, watching Takemura's and Reed's inner conflicts about their loyalty against Arasaka's and the NUSA's rules, being scared of whatever outside force is slowly doing to Jefferson, mourning Jackie and making sure he had the best funeral, every character and journey is just done so well. To me tho, the highlight arcs were with V and Johnny, and V and Judy. To me, V and Judy are perhaps one of, if not my favourite couple I've experienced in fiction, how two loners, losing the closest people in their lives and hurt by a city that just does not care slowly loving each other was some of the most compelling stuff I've ever watched. As for V and Johnny's relationship, it meant so much to me as I had lost my Dad to cancer in the middle of the pandemic, so I couldn't even get a chance to say goodbye. He loved the table top game back in the 90s and was excited for this, wish he could've seen how it became now, it would've been everything he envisioned. Seeing V's turmoil of losing her memories, being afraid of being forgotten, her anguish when she's told by Vik she's only got a few weeks, Johnny realising that his grave is nothing and him thinking no one cared. I connect with these moments so deeply, because I try to remember my Dad, but it just feels like I can't. But it was playing Cyberpunk that finally made me grieve, finally let go. Because to me, Cyberpunk was never about going out in a Blaze of glory on your own, the quiet moments were what the game were truly about. Spending time with the people you love before it's too late. V and Johnny coming to peace with each other at the oil fields, V finding a new surrogate family with Vik, Mama Welles, Panam and the Aldecaldos, listening to Kerry's song on his boat, V and So-Mi quietly walking around So-Mi's apartment, V and Judy going underwater diving and learning about Judy's childhood before spending the night together, those moments were what made Cyberpunk 2077 so special to me. I am so grateful for this game. Thank you Mike Pondsmith and CDPROJEKTRED for creating my favourite story of all time. Thank you, Cyberpunk 2077. Never Stop Fighting and Never Fade Away.
Wow, thank you for sharing such a personal experience, English. The game greatly impacted you as a player and someone who found solace and connection through its world and characters. I'm incredibly sorry to hear about the loss of your father. It's incredible how video games can become more than just entertainment, becoming an intermediate through which we can explore and process everything. How you view the game's quieter, more intimate moments is oddly beautiful. It's proof of the depth and richness of the storytelling within this game. It's clear that the themes of connection, loss, and the passage of time hit a spot with you, and I can see why. It's lovely that you found a sense of closure and catharsis through this fantastic game. Remember, never stop fighting and never fade away.
Beautifully put together, choom. I started playing Cyberpunk for the first time just a couple months ago and I can't put it down. I've already burned about 500 hours into it. The city is incredible and the stories are much deeper than some give it credit for. The combat is also very addicting. Feels almost like Doom Eternal for me now. Takes practice but you can pull off some very impressive looking chains in rapid succession. Combo hacks with rain of bullets after a toss of a laser nade, while sliding and zipping across the air, popping fuel tanks to kill nearby enemies. So so sweet. The music, the fashion, it's all super good. Launch was unfortunately pre-mature. They needed more time to finish it. But thanks to the resilience of CDPR and not giving up, the game is truly the masterpiece it was meant to be today, even if still not 100%. I very much recommend it to anyone even remotely interested in this type of futuristic setting. Once you've completed the entire game, you can spend countless of hours wandering through this ginormous city, finding hidden secrets (well over 100) and get into fights with local gangsters. The detail is staggering. Great job Amaranth.
I played Cyberpunk 2077 for the first time in December of 2023. Heck I bought it cause it was on heavy discount. I never thought I’d be so attached and the story and some of the choices would affect my life so much and provide some clarity in some of the real life emotional turmoil I’m struggling with. I’m on my second run, this video was the cherry on the top. I keep coming back to it every two or three days. Phenomenal. Thank you so much ❤
Here to say, no cyberpunk 2077 is finished and no dev left to work on this masterpiece, this game was just a whole chapter of my life. Idk how, but the feels of night city was beautiful. Thanks Amaranth for your work, thanks for this vid, thanks. Really
Damn choom... This is a real piece of work. Captured the beauty and gripping emotion this game brings. Preem editing, really!I know you'd make a fine BD Tuner if the CP2077 reality lol This video makes me feel a certain way watching this on my phone. Phew...
This has to be the best Cyberpunk 2077 edits on the platform. Not only does it use the most up to date version of the game so you can see the use of the hang outs and V's relationship but it also captures everything that V went through throughout the game. Starting with dreams of making it big and becoming a legend, losing Jackie and beginning to fight purely for survival and then meeting people like Panam, Judy, Kerry, River, Johnny etc and instead of continuing to fight for survival for the sake of survival they begin to fight for the new life and friendships theyve built throughout the game. Its reminds me of a quote from Dr Strange: "Death is what gives life meaning, to know your days and numbered and that time is short". V getting the news that they only have a few weeks left and choosing to do whatever it takes to make it makes for a great story but thats made even better by the agency the game gives you in chossing how this story ends. You can eaither sellout and give up with The Devil ending. Choose to go out in a blaze of glory in the Sun ending, allow Johnny to make amends in Temperance or spend your final days with people you care about in the Star ending and this tribute captures that perfectly. Most tributes only focus on one outcome to the game and follow that one story but this weves in all of the beginnings and all of the endings while never definitively showing that one is correct or the offical cannon which presents it as more of a case study on the character of V than anything else. Every fan of Cyberpunk 2077 needs to see this tribute. Really great work.
Thank you so much for your incredibly kind words! Too many hours were put into this thing, so reading comments like yours has made it all worth it. I’m so glad the relationship update dropped when I made this thing. It really helped hone the vibe I was going for. It’s actually incredibly cool that you’ve found a connection to Dr Strange's quote; it's super impressive. Every player has their own story in Cyberpunk, so it was super important to me to highlight all those potential endings for people. After thinking about the various endings, I do have to say that the tower ending is personally my favourite ending despite how depressing it is. I’m super impressed you were able to determine that this is more of a case study on V rather than a definitive portrayal, which helps leave room for more interpretation, which, in this case, is fantastic. Thank you so much again for your support and incredible comment. It genuinely means so much!

Last week i finally got the chance to play the phantom liberty and finish this amazing game and your tribute is absolutely beautiful! Goodbye V and never stop fighting...
I literally just finished Phantom Liberty yesterday, now you've made me want to create an entirely different save file just to do it all over again. You monster! Your videos are easily the most beautiful, heart-wrenching content around Cyberpunk 2077 that's I've seen. Thank you for making this, it really touched me and I don't want to imagine how much godawful time it took to make.
That's the fucked up soap-opera that's life; you either find something worth dying for, or something worth living for. The difficult part is choosing between them. PL really drives it home. Excellent work choom.
BRO WHAT AN AMAZING VIDEO! Never forget my first playtrough and ending as a nomad with panam riding in the nightsky. It was soooo amazing. The music, the story. the feeling that stuck with me while watching the end credits roll and hearing those phone messages.
Beautiful video! The new DLC ending is quite sad, but at the same time it opens up so many paths for V. We can only guess what he/she will do next with his new life
Thank you so much! You couldn't be more right. It's exciting to see where things will go with V. Hopefully, they will pop up at some point in the next game. Thank you again.
What a beautiful tribute to a masterpiece of a game and to a character we will never forget. This game caught me off guard in the best way possible. I'm a huge fps fan, so I was mostly interested in the combat mechanics of the game. I knew people said it had great characters and stories, but people say this about every game so I was like 'yeah, whatever, I just want to have fun'. At first, it all went down as I had expected. I did like the characters but they weren't really special either. But then the aftermath of the heist came and the scene when V learns from Vic that she's going to die soon just broke me. The voice acting was hauntingly real, one of the most emotional and heartbreaking moments I've ever seen in a video game. It pulled me into the story instantly only for the ending(s) to crush what was left of my composure. V being a predefined character, but our choices determining the outcome made it just so much more impactful and personal. Really makes you reflect about life and the importance of legacy and fulfillment over pure survival.
I couldn’t agree more. In my first playthrough, the emotional depth and twists in the narrative took me by surprise, too. That moment with V and Vic was heart-wrenching, and the voice acting (especially with male V) added a different level of realism to the game. It's a testament to the game's ability to incite profound reflections on life, legacy, and the consequences of V's choices. This game is such a masterpiece. Thank you so much for watching, choom!
Man of the best tributes for Cyberpunk 2077 i've ever seen makes me want to do my own. You nailed the theme of it seriously, amazing choice of music too.
Wow. I've yet to play female V. That voice actor was spectacular. She really brought emotion to the part. Sometimes I felt like male V was holding in a fart or something. Loved the video! Great work!
First playthrough I did male. 2nd-5th have all been female. She is THE V in my opinion. Brilliant VA work. Nothing against the dude, but Cherami just absolutely slays the role.
I would have helped songbird if she told the truth from the get go. I empathize with her, for some reason i would rather live as a lab rat with the slight hope of eventual rescue because the abyss scares me more than anything. The loss of conciousness. The end.
Completely understandable fear. So many of the characters in the Phantom Liberty expansion are incredibly complex, so your choice is a completely valid one.

To Me.....All I can Say about this Game? PERFECT.....and the Suicide Ending? Masterfully Crafted, because You get to See How Ending Your Own Life with Your Own Hands can Very Heavily Affect those that You Hold Very Dear to Your Heart..... Perfect
I confess something, I've played it for almost 400 hours, but I haven't finished the DLC yet, I don't want to finish it, because I don't want to feel that emptiness in my heart when something I like ends.

Hehe thanks for stopping by
This was perfect. Encapsulated the painful beauty of V's journey! Amazing work as always. Thanks, choom!
Thank you so much, choom.
It's been a good day.
The growth we see in Johnny and V is great, going from people who just care about their own needs, to willing to give up their own chance of survival so someone like So-Mi can get it.
It's such a great story between V and Johnny. I can't wait to experience it again.
“Wrong city. Wrong people.”
V looks down at So-Mi. After all the bodies, the betrayals, the lies. In this moment, V could see it. A chance.
“Maybe Johnny. But right here, right now.”
V picks up So-Mi and starts walking towards the shuttle.
“She’s in the right place. With the right person.”
V wouldn’t abandon her.
I could not agree more. This is game is one of the most emotional pieces of media I've ever experienced.
Cherami Leigh did an incredible job. She’s maybe my favorite video game VA.
On an unrelated note, what’s the other game?
@@tim.noonan Taking a random stab, but I'm betting it's RDR2. Very similar themes; bring death, and the cost of actions, into sharp focus.
I think she overacts a bit. Male V is much more composed and stoic, I like prefer his style, but she's not a bad actress.
Someone should make an edit with the song This Silence is Mine in English by Ren Reiss
What endings did you choose?
I've played almost 400 hours of this game, and I still keep coming back to discover places I've never seen before, keep taking lots of pictures and I keep visiting some buildings several times because I love its architecture, I like to imagine that it is a real city and to walk in it quietly., and sometimes try out many of the coolest mods, it's not a perfect game, but it's definitely my favorite game.
My heart will break when Cyberpunk 2 won't be about V... please let it be about V.... it can't end like this. :(
Honestly, I hope V doesn't come back, their story was perfectly cyberpunk, with no good ending where everyone gets to be happy, and no easy solution, they struggled, killed, lied, and fought against a city that would have them killed In a heartbeat, their story was about a human fighting a world that never shows mercy, so in the end I think V and there story is done, maybe a few bits of lore in the next game but I can honestly say that V and there legend is exactly the perfect cyberpunk ending
Wrong city, wrong people lol
This is a good farewell to the Night City and with Cyberpunk 2077.
Nicely done.
Thank you so much!
Probably one of the most emotional moments I've ever experienced in a game or any piece of media. Thank you for watching.
Cyberpunk really did deserve game of the year
If 2.0 was the release version, it probably would have.
@@royberry479 It deserves from the beginning... but ''The Lobby says...''. Even after 2.0... PL extension... ''The Lobby says...''.
"Been nice workin with you V"
For me, this is the best game story ever...
Loved all the endings to Cyberpunk. You can't have it all, so you have to ask what matters most.
I couldn't have said it better myself. Thank you so much for watching and for leaving such an amazing comment. I really appreciate it!
I saw this on Reddit and I’m so glad you posted it on RUclips. This is AMAZING. Beautifully edited and put together. Thanks, choom 😭🥹🤲
Thank you for coming along. Thank you so much for watching and for your incredibly kind words. Appreciate you, choom.
Imagine my friends' surprise when they realize "that shooter game I'm always going on about " is really about human connection.

Preem editing, really!I know you'd make a fine BD Tuner if the CP2077 reality lol
This video makes me feel a certain way watching this on my phone.
I come to this video almost every day, but at least every week and rewatch it. You've somehow really captured so many things in this video, not just about the game but about the story and life. It's perfect to me. Thank you so much!

Damn, releasing just as I reinstall for another go at the game. Great timing. I loved your first Cyberpunk video, this one was even better.
The transition from Jackie slotting the shard into V's port to V punching the glass at 2:52 was jaw dropping. Great stuff. The inclusion of Phantom Liberty was just perfect as well.

V actually looks happy and free when she takes off with Panam.
That's why I always chose the ending of leaving with Panam and the nomads, because of all the endings I liked this ending
@@ДенисПрокопенко-п3ы 100% agree! I did the Reed ending the last time and OMG, I was devastated. I tried to see the good, but man was it depressing! I will go Nomad again this time lol
@@Agrona33 If for V I have to choose either 1. a quiet life to be a nobody after a two-year coma, 2. to be a Legend of Night City, and 3. close people to be free with the nomads and Panam, I will choose the third option

Man this was so good what an emotional Rollercoaster. If there's anything I take from this story is "Never stop fighting".
What a masterclass in editing. Well done.
I still don’t know how much I can appreciate this game and this beautiful tribute to it

I'd highly recommend a Female V playthrough. Cherami Leigh does an incredible job.
Thank you so much for watching.
First playthrough I did male. 2nd-5th have all been female. She is THE V in my opinion. Brilliant VA work. Nothing against the dude, but Cherami just absolutely slays the role.
Cherami Leigh's performance as Female V is up there with Roger Clark's Arthur Morgan as the greatest protagonist performance in any game imo.
This braindance is a work of art. Preem work, choom.

Brilliantly done! This references so many powerful moments really well. Good music choices too - especially choosing the occasionally softer music
