7:17 There actually used to be the same teleport barrier I encountered under the water in Inazuma near the Paimon 's barrier, but I believe hyv removed it alongside with teleporting ground (this one would teleport you straight up to Springvale iirc)
You can still force the game to teleport you from Fontaine to Springvale by using the Zhongli + Sayu trick to fall off the waterfalls in the south-eastern corner of Fontaine.

There is still teleporting ground that teleports you to springvale in Inazuma, not sure if we're thinking of the same spot
This video comes out at a PERFECT TIME because I'm brainstorming possible future expansions of the region. I haven't watched the video just yet, but there's this weird structure to the east of Opera Epiclese that aligns with the exit from the Stormterror's Lair. I'm so curious to see if they connect two regions like that.

Probably Lumidouce Harbour, it connects to Liyue via Yilong Port in Chenyu Vale, similar to how Romaritime Harbour connects Fontaine to Sumeru.
@@walnut2446 We have no port in sumeru yet, we currently only a have a waverider entrance so the Sumeru harbor is still unreleased.
@@walnut2446 Spot on! I compared a few renders of the map of Teyvat and the Lumidouce Harbor is positioned in a rather clever way, right between the border of Liyue and Mondstadt. There's been some questionable leaks/speculations about Chenyu Vale being added in 4.X, I guess we'll have to see about that. I've been going crazy over that mountain range particularly. Watching low poly hills get transformed into playable areas is my favorite thing to witness.
@@zukodude487987True! iirc a recent event NPC mentioned Bayda Harbour which likely means a possible future expansion of Sumeru's rainforest to the north.
i remember swimming up to the barrier underwater and being trapped in 15 "how about we explore the area ahead of us later!" loops. also learned that in certain areas underwater, if you go near the barrier, your character seems confused where to go and can keep going back and forth until they get the right direction
Something like that happebned to me! I was swimming towards the barrier underwater and after paimon told me to epxlore the aread later. She got confused and instead of making me swim backwards, paimon made me swim towards the barrier. i was teeported tho :;)

@@persephonehades7547 no, the coincidence that he made a new video 5 days ago and the cheat also updated 5 days ago was too obvious, because I know the cheat that he's using, I've tested it too. and these glitches/bug they said can't easily reproduced without cheat. he's lying to us
@@persephonehades7547 also if you look at his UID and you wondering why it's blank because he using custom UID feature, that feature can edit your UID whatever you like and you can leave it blank. it's not because he cropped the video, if he cropped the video, the aspect ratio will looks weird. clearly cheating.

I think in the 4.0 livestream theres a clip showing Lynette entering the cube to swim. So probably had the diving mechanic

@@ozar1472not exactly. The 3.0 special program didnt have any 3.1 content, however the second Mini teaser they released had parts of the desert environment shown to us.
I was spending some time looking at the satellite map and I noticed a peculiar structure at the triple point of waterfalls west of Fontaine. The raised plateau's waterfall flows down to an inland lake, however this lake then flows down west into a giant waterfall that goes off the edge of the map. If you follow that giant waterfal north, it connects with the plateau's edge and near that point is what seems to be an artificial structure, likely a harbor elevator or something. I think it would cool to investigate it. Perhaps its an elevator to a Natlan-facing harbor 👀
EDIT: this is still getting upvotes so I will update. There is nothing there, I checked, its just a slightly brighter colored rock face 😢
I glitched, got stuck in a never-ending Paimon barrier, and then hit a teleport barrier about 10 mins into exploring Fontaine. It sent me all the way back to Springvale
It seems Springdale is the 0.0 point of genshin

Interestingly enough, if u go alongside the waterfalls that surround fontaine, u will stumble upon the exact same tower that we used at the start of the fontaine quest to get up to the archon statue, I believe it is northern eastern Opera Epiclese
I mean it only makes sense in my eyes that a placeholder for a potential future port would use the same model, maybe it’s the port connecting Fontaine to Mondstadt and Liyue?
@@DG_Toti according to leak i saw it will be another port that will connect Fontaine with probably Qiaoying village (tea village) in Liyue (and it is actually will be perfectly eastern Opera Epiclese; at least right now it is placed like that)

There's a secret area you can go to called ??? that really reminds me of Enkanomiya. It has a luxurious chest and everything. It would be dope if you could find a way to reach it without a quest.

Yesss I've been waiting for you to explore Fontaine.... So for I've seen 3 unexplore structure in the distance. The tower, the floating cubes and cube kinda structure at the end of waterfall with 2 chimney or something (located at the east of the opera house) I can't wait to see what does this structure looks like when it was available
From the Epiclese Opera Guillotine you can see some sort of a village towards Li Yue and some sort of factory towards Mondstadt. Have you traveled up to them?
I see the "factory" (probably another waterfall elevator) but I do not see this village you speak of.
@@BlueHawkPictures17it's not really a village, it's just a bunch of cubes hidden behind a mountain that suggests that there is a village. Saw it once on some private server stream.

@@BlueHawkPictures17 I saw it only from the sky above Fontaine where that streamer teleported using console commands. It was during 4.0 beta.
I thought that it can be seen from the Mont Automnequi, but it appears that currently there is just a big hole where it was during beta. Curiously, you can see that hole even from the mountain itself.
The factory is most likely another harbour. Found the same elevator too. Managed to get there via disconnect glitch(which the only problem the "connection timed out" blocking almost entire screen)
I assume the hazy tower is the fortress of Meropide, though I thought it was supposed to be underwater so maybe that's what the big chasm below is about, while the tower itself is something related but different.

That tower seems to be the most likely candidate for the Fortress of Meropide, and idk if I’m dumb or something but idk where y’all got this idea that the Fortress is underwater, I mean I don’t think they have enough diving suits for all that mess.
@@DG_Toti In other words to the comment you're replying to, the 4.1 map is already out on beta they already know the exact location of Fortress and yes it's near the institute, north and it's underwater.
And with or without leaks, the Fortress already confirmed underwater based on Wriothesley's drip marketing info.
Wonder if we'll be getting Chenyu Vale in the later stages of 4.x, to connect the completed landmass of Fontaine back to Liyue

OMG! I was literally just playing genshin impact and I was at the top of the building in the court of Fontaine, where you could see the tower very clearly. I thought when you'll make a video about the tower and just 2 minutes later got this notification 😅

I'm curious if you've seen what looks like a land formation in the direction where Natlan might later be. If you look off the coast of Elynas you can definitely see something off in the distance (at least on mobile).

The way how fontaine sea level is different from other nation is so interesting to me yesterday i go to floating island on liyue and pillar from dragonspine fontain looking bizzare af its like high mountanious area but on higher leveled up tectonic plate its so interesting normally when sumeru and inazuma released from most high places we can see some tall land marks like mount yogou, sumeru city, deshret pyramid, water tree in the desert but fontaine is just so interesting how the highest point we can see is the whole nation itself

That tower should be the Fortress of Meropide. Fontaine’s prison. Name dropped during Act 1 and Childe dropped during Act 2 of the Archon Quest.
As interesting as that tower is, I am most looking forward to the Research Institute, with all it yummy lore!

nah the prison is north of Fontaine city, underwater. It seems that towers name and purpose is still largely unknown.

Research Institute and more of area north of court of Fontaine (including the water) is getting added in 4.1. I guess 4.2 will add the prison and areas to the east of it. Then 4.4 will have a connection area
And 4.6 will introduce a special area (aka chasm and enkanomiya)
In 4.1 prison + institute, in 4.2 I don`t know, in 4.3 may be Mondstadt expansion, in 4.4 Liyue expansion, in 4.6 giant mountain to the north-west of Fontaine.

I was surprised too when i noticed the Research Institute was out of the map since i remembered lynette going in and out of it.
Go to lumidounce harbor, i believe its the small structure behind the watch tower, from other places in the map it xan be seen extending off the cliff edge to the bottom like romaritime harbour
Im pretty sure the research institute will be released in 4.1 since it has alr been shown. Either chenyu vale or dorman port in 4.3-4.4 and maybe that big fontaine tower in 4.6-4.7

From up there, Fontaine looks small... Like, we seem to only have the tower area, whatever's going on with the remains of the Institute, both of which look to be kinda small,the eastern side of Erinnyes and the mountain range north of the Court. It doesn't add up to something like the size of Sumeru
Don't forget though that a large portion of it is underwater so that definitely adds a bit more.
But remember this whole area we have now is 85 hydroculus. I’m not sure how much 4.1 adds but my guess would be 40-60 more? Since the new areas are pretty small. That still leaves about 130 more give or take 10 for all of Fontaine. So there’s either a huge separate area coming like the chasm or enkonomiya, or a part of Fontaine that we just can’t see yet. So don’t worry, Fontaine won’t be small. Probably overall smaller than sumeru but not small

My best quest for what the misty tower is is that it might be the Fortress of Meriopede (Sorry if I butchered that). It kinda looks like a prison tower
When 3.4 released I was really curious to see what's in the now apeps domain place but I got so far in I got teleported back to the speingvale waypoint in mondstadt

there's also a rectangular building with two steel looking chimney's, it's north of the court. Wonder what that will be.
On the day Fontaine came out, there was a bug that lets you control a diving or swimming character in the paimon barrier, the character would always swim to the left of the camera. I found that bug on the left island but it just teleported me back to the origin of the map (the teleport point in that village in Mondstadt).

4.1 Will most likely be the hydro cube area, but i think the tower is 50/50 on being released next cuz it looks like the prison for Fontaine but there also might be celestial nail shenanigans going on there. I am pretty sure there is gonna be an area behind the large mountain like a cave.
I think so too. They wouldn't tease it so much in the trailer and in the current version otherwise. I mean about Institute.
@@Netsuki I think the second area is prolly gonna tease that the oatrice is like a hydro cube incarnite or a second folcalor.
I truly wish they could let us explore buildings and castles and stuff. It would be super fun. The closest thing to that are the pyramids and those were packed with puzzles and treasure.

No idea if this is helpful but I was able to trick paimon while swimming in fountaine into making me go into the direction of where the paimon barrier was, allowing me to pass it with paimon literally helping lol. I was transported to springvale after a while.
If I had to guess, the fully rendered tower is probably the prison seeing that it's on a lone island. Kind of like Alcatraz.
There is also an unfinished structure east of fontaine out of bounds. What that structure will be that i don't know
Fontaine has just been released and Moosashi is already back to committing all sorts of illegal tresspassing possible. I wonder how many lifetimes he will get at the court.
For that one eastern tower, I think it may be the Fortress of Meropide. While ok, it doesn’t REALLY look like a prison, it does like like a fortress, or at least a part of it (which is credible since the Opera Epiclese looks more like, well, an opera house rather than a court). As for its size to be used as a prison, I think it should be far bigger than the visible part for a Nation that has an advanced law and justice systems, which brings me to my next point: the pit under the island. Maybe this area is not finished yet, which leads my thoughts at the possibility for the visible tower of the Fortress to continue going underwater, or maybe having a not directly attached section of the tower, in which they send all the prisoners. This would make sense for me, as a prison set deep underwater has high chances of deterring the prisoners of escaping, as it leaves them with 2 possibilities: stay in prison, or escape but… drown right after.
wholeheartedly agreeing w/ ur statement & not to mention that this tower has this “hazy mist effects” much akin to the “wind barrier” surrounding stormterror’s lair in mondstadt
similarly it could work just like that, recall how the winds act literally like a barrier since stormterror’s lair itself wasn’t explorable (& yeah ik that its also probably just because of decarabian & old mond’s lore)
tldr: that tower should be the fortress of meropide considering those “hazy mist effects” acts like a barrier since its a “prison”
as for the comments saying the leaked fortress of meropide wasn’t that tower & was instead near those cubes afloat in the sky aka “the institute” 🤷🏻♀️ well, it could always go underwater that’ll connect w/ this tower
I don't know if the Time button is bugged in 4.0+, but in certain areas of map (excluding the desert) the camera will pan upwards showing some stuff out of bounds. In past versions it the camera would stay in place if the player was in certain spot. If near the Anemo Hypostasis/cube, I forgot the name of it, you can see the mountains further north, as an example.
It's always done that. It only doesn't pan up in specific circumstances, such as being underground

In the 4.0 video, people were saying 4.1 leak for the research institute or whatever it's called. So I'm thinking that tower will be 4.2 unless they're nice enough to grant us more.
The tower is most certantly the Fortress of Meropide the Prison where childe was taken. We already know Wriothesly is the warden of the prison from what we already know and since he is going to be released next patch the tower( wich is most likely inspired by Askaban from harry Potter) and sorounding islands
