It’s a lovely island and went to Correlejo about 7 times in the late 90s/early 00s Was there when 9/11 happened Went back after a 6/7 year gap and it had been developed so much Lost a bit of the laid back vibe but still best place in Canaries for me.
32!GO says - Fuerts is my fave island: not for places but for DRIVING!! The roads are well-maintained and barren (as is the scenery) but the scenery is amazing, there’s no potholes and a totally amazing place to drive. Normally stay in Jandia (Butihondo!) Parking can be tricky on market days but Corralejo is touristy and often you can't see the roads because of all the wind-blown sand hence the road-edge poles you often see around the roadways on RAF bases!
A great vlog Lee as always & meeting up with Kevin as well who is a right character. I have never been to Fuerteventura but you have to take the island as it is & it does not look too bad & you have gone there out of season as well, so obviously more busier in the summer. You have to try these places Lee for different content rather than keep going to the same places, but the lure of Tenerife will always pull on your heartstrings. Keep up the good work Lee 👏🏻
When my grandparents retired they got a place in Fuerteventura. I’ve only been once, years ago, and didn’t think much of it. I think that they enjoy it more for the people they’ve met and friends they’ve made more so than the scenery. Always good to try somewhere new though!
Went there for a day trip from Playa Blanca, Lanzarote. Coach to the ferry, tour of the island including the inevitable church with a Black Madonna, restaurant stop for three course meal with wine, feeding the chipmunks (someone imported a pair and now there are thousands). Onward to the Aloe Vera farm for demo and sales patter. Back on the boat and back in time for tea. Excellent day out at a cost of £34. Saw enough of Fuertaventura to last me. Favourite is still South Tenerife, Los Cristianos to La Caleta. Fuerta means Strong. Ventura means Wind. Nuff said. Ok for windsurfers.
If you go to Lanzarote (if you're not already back) there's a cracking Indian restaurant in Playa Blanca called Mumbai Masala. It's in the Marina Rubicon.
Great to see your back in the Canary Isles @TheMacMaster Truely look forward to the videos. I fell in love with Gran Canaria last year and might return there soon or do a quick Tenerife, as it’s been a while for me and would be nice for nostalgia sake.
Went to this place in the late 80s and if my memory serves me right it was better back then not so developed. Went to the beach one day fried for hours walked back into town due to sunstroke and dehydration... everything was closed for a number of hours while we nearly died of thirst ! But beautiful beaches and a top windsurfing location.
If you go to Calleta de fist have a walk to the rocks by the sea, loads of Chipmunks. Personally I lobe Matagorda at the Beatriz Playa, nice and quiet watching the planes go by with a cold beer.
Corralejo great vibe. Love the live music varieties. Try to get there twice every year now. Out by Dunes great sandy areas and i stay in the sea for hours. Only 2 euro ride into Music square ( no 6 bus ) and taxi back to Riu hotel on the dunes only 10 euro tops at midnight.
Been to Fuerteventura once. Will never go again. Nothing nice about it and way too many tourists. People looked at me as if I were an alien when I smoke to them in Spanish.
Bugger... I bet on you going to the Isle Of Dogs.. Once again, English man in Spain, hunting down an english breakfast, a curry, fish and chips., chinese. Tell the Spanish that their national dishes are crap with out telling them they're crap !
We went There about 3 years ago we loved it. There is a Irish Bar near the steakhouse you looked at, Think it was in a concrete mall great night singing Irish Folk songs
My other half worked at Waikiki Bar in the early 90’s. We had a great week there back in Nov 2015, loved it. We stayed off the roundabout and the very top of Main Street at Papagayo. Half way down on a side street was an awesome Indian restaurant and the locals fish restaurant on a side street behind music square was fantastic. I loved the beaches and the vibe of the place. Yes, Everest was the one I liked, I think the owner was from Hong Kong. The Nepalese restaurants in Spain are generally excellent.
Caleta de Fuste is a great place .not as chavvy as Tenerife .as busy as Lanzarote or as quiet in some places of gran canaria .going again in May this year .
My favourite island, Corralejo has a lovely bohemian vibe, you should do the walk from the harbour along the sea front, it’s so chilled out. Not a high rise in sight and no stags/hens, proper family friendly resort
Lee - Tandoori Garden is superb - you can order a chicken sizzler dish and get a tikka masala sauce with it - you get twice as much chicken basically then you do if you just order the tikka masala curry. Came here in Dec 2023, and we went to Caleta De Fuste (nearer the airport) Dec 2024 - Corralejo is MUCH cheaper than Caleta to eat
I blame you Lee! Started watching your video on the Porsche because someone had mentioned it on X ( I don't have an electric car Thank God) and ended up binge watching all the car ones and now on to the flight ones, its all your fault I need to do some work!!!!
Hi Lee. We are down in Caleta de Fuste at the moment. Half way down the island 15 minutes from the airport. And it's a brilliant place. We are here for another eight nights so may see you around.
Great resort Lee Fuerteventura is a a beautiful chilled out place get yourself also to Ibiza this year 2 top places which I think now are slightly better than Tenerife 😎😎

Hi Lee&Kevin great collaboration video together looks really nice in Fueveventura. I’d give your meal 9/10. Lee you’ve got a great guide in Kevin he will definitely look after you on holiday he knows so much about Fueveventura I’m subscribed both of you, don’t blame you getting some winter Sun there enjoy👍 Actually cheapest place get a pint I’ve seen in Los Cristanos,Tenerife for 95c less than €1 by Burger King carnt remember name of the bar.
Wife n I are thinking of some cheap 'winter' sun in Feb/March, been to Fuerteventura (Castillo Caleta de Fuste) twice in the last 18months and although its a bit warmer, the 'countrysides' so bleak, like building plot wasteland. Given the sea/outdoor pools too cold for me, going to Malta at £200pp (Thomas Cook!) week again seems a better idea as theres more to see and those Bolt taxis are dead cheap + pick you up where your standing with the App. Not a bar person, 1litre max per evening meal!
If you do venture over to Lanzarote then there's a fantastic Indian called 'Indian Delights' We had a Christmas day meal there in 23. It was truly memorable. Fantastic food and staff. There's also a lovely family ran Moroccan restaurant called Tajine House - Cafe 34 not far from that Indian. The food is incredible but maybe not for your palate Lee ;) haha

Kevin is a lovely bloke.
Fantastic to see Kevin, he's a great guy. Really enjoyed watching 2 of our favorite vloggers together 👍🏼😊
Caleta de Fuste is 10x better then Corralejo! It’s got the Tenerife fills with a nicer sandy beach 🇪🇸🌴
Very close to the airport though
Shame he listened to Kevin Caleta is amazing
Nice to see you both meet up! 🥰☀️🥰xxx

What happened to cheap food prices on holiday?
I can remember going to Spain and getting entire meals for the price of a starter in the UK!

Hi Lee. In Spanish, the letter J is pronounced as H, in English. Julio is pronounced as Hulio...hence Corralejo is pronounced Corral..eh..ho
