    Straight and to the point. This is an older style of video.😊 But interesting nonetheless.

    Saved me some headaches on the units I just got my hands on. Thanks, dude. Always nice to see what I'm dealing with before having to crack the case open.

    Great video overall. I especially appreciated the subtitles and the gestures you did to point out all the important parts.
    I wanted to mention that, at 2:30 you had a little trouble slotting the SSD caddy into place, and this is because the black lip on the caddy should be placed on top of the silver edge of the PC’s frame. It provides a pivot point for the caddy, allowing the other side of the caddy to slot into place securely. It also keeps the caddy elevated from (and out of contact with) the board components.
    Ultimately you got yours in securely, but try that next time you remove the caddy and you’ll see it’s a lot easier to safely secure it like that.

      Thanks for mentioning about the caddy haha. Yes that's exactly what happened! I realized that mistake while shooting my other videos afterwards on similar models.
      I really appreciate your comment!

      @@ComputerizedCanada happy to leave a comment! It is one of those details most people wouldn’t really notice but I did because I literally just figured out the mechanism as I was working on my machine. 😎

    I can't find an SSD caddy on eBay. A lot of sellers show the correct one but when I receive the item it's the wrong one.

    There is 2nd SSD slot near the memory slot. Is it for M2.NVMe only or we can also use M2.SATA SSD? I just got an M710Q too and want to upgrade it

      I've read that there is actually no way to add extra memory next to the one in the rear.

    Do you know if the expansion port supports a USB-C port? I noticed they have USB-C ports for sale online that look like they would fit into the connector on the motherboard, but I don’t know if it would have the capabilities for it to work?

    • @bobhopper609
      @bobhopper609 4 месяца назад

      It should work. The spec sheet says that one of the options for the rear ports include a USB 3.1 Type-C Gen 1
      (with DisplayPort Alternate Mode)

    • @ComputerizedCanada
      @ComputerizedCanada  5 месяцев назад

      I've been wondering about the design myself. It's metal box-like structure, which I assume is to act as an internal antenna for the Wi-Fi card. I do not think it has any other function.
      If anyone has better insights please inform.

    • @bobhopper609
