Always up for some Neil Young and Crazy Horse. Usually a little more upbeat and rocking than his solo stuff. Crazy Horse is: Billy Talbot-Bass, Ralph Molina-Drums and Frank "Pancho" Sampedro, or Danny Whitten-Guitar. All the guys sing back up. Neil just released a new album last year called "Barn", and Nils Lofgren replaced "Pancho" on Guitar, I think "Pancho" passed sadly. I know a lot of Neil's songs, but i am not familiar with "Danger Bird", but it is just as good as all his other stuff. Neil doesn't do second rate music, and he doesn't do covers. Thank you Jonah for this.
This is a great song, released on Zuma, 1975. Lou Reed once said in an interview that he just loved Neil's lead guitar on this song. My favorite version of this song is from Year Of The Horse. That version is HEAVY and kind of spacey at the same time, I love it! Here's a link to an upload of the song from my old channel ruclips.net/video/TxAW7q0Z73M/видео.html
I enjoyed this one. Not sure how much of the guitar playing was Neil Young (although I think that he is underrated as a guitar player), but that doesn't really matter. Gets a thumbs up from me. Cheers and stay safe. 😊😎🎸🇬🇧🇺🇦
It's his performances with Crazy Horse that earned him the title of Godfather of Grunge
Sat chilling in the Canaries Islands right now, listening to this. Amazing record. Thankyou. 👍
Nice choice

Danny Whitten passed many years ago, before Frank Sampedro joined up. He was the subject of the song "Needle and The Damage Done".
Pancho is retired from the Horse, for now...bad hand arthritis I've heard...too hard ta play guitar...i.e....not dead! 😁
PONCHO is alive and well, living in Hawaii. Retired due to arthritis but maybe we'll hear from him again, who knows?
This song is off the album Zuma. 1975

Yes, Year of the Horse is a great live album.
Might want to check out Cowgirl in the Sand off Everybody Knows this is Nowhere

Not the best sound production though a real good tune. Have you reacted to Like a Hurricane by Neil?
