- reTHAWed has a new update that has been in the works by so many people for so long and we're getting around to it to drop. The release date of it is the 12th so it'll be here before you know it. 4.0 is finally here! But oh my god does this update slap, so much to do, so much to explore with and do all sorts of things, Create A Skater is incredible, new maps, new tech, so many additions to even put in one description box. (I know I could, but you get what I'm saying)
Thanks so much to Uzis, Zedek, Drake and the rest of the 10K Rising team for working as hard as you have on this mod to make it as incredible as it is!

I've only heard about reTHAWed, never actually got to try it, but I definitely want to.
was not expecting the features this has added, this looks great, the footplant stuff alone is something I thought would make sense with the bonless / no comply mechanics as they are, making it formally integrated with the combo system is very cool
It's one of the many fun pieces of tech added to this that just feels so organic
Shout out to Iron Hawk for helping me out when porting the Proving Ground footplants
wowww this is beyond huge. I dont play thugpro because I just don't love the THUG2 engine. super excited to play some different maps on thaw

@@WojackToter Honestly after getting both this and THPSPro (which is essentially reTHAWed using THPS1+2) set up, I honestly might uninstall THUGPro. The sheer amount of control you have over things is unbelievable, finding tricks that I never thought were possible, like combining a somersault flip with a 180 spin to do a McTwist or a Misty Flip without special...Sim Mode + Trick Cam to play what is essentially a hybrid of Skate 3 and THPS.

Downtown ps2 version of the map has some very weird glitches I haven't seen in any other th game. I would love to see if they are here in this version and maybe learn how to recreate them if the levels are in a readable format for the rail nodes code. Also atlanta was in most of the games just disabled and most people used action replay or gameshark to unlock them. Also a lot of tony hawk games had hidden unused levels in them and people found action replay/ gameshark codes to unlock them in most of the tony hawk games. Like the beta levels in thug1 were all in thug1 just had to use action replay or gameshark to unlock them and school 1 thug1 was kinda messed up and neversoft had some definite perverts in it.
This is a port of the XBox version (which I assume should use the same node array), but we're going to work on fixing collision and rail bugs in levels over time. City center in particular has some BAD spots. 4.0 already has fixes applied on some levels (Australia, Manhattan) so let us know in the Discord if you run into any issues in particular that can be fixed

@@chatweekly lol, uhhh, it's in reference to the fact that we ported the Project 8 terrain system, which is called click clack, because it does clacking sounds on sidewalks and stuff, it's all dynamic

I'm gonna be real, I really underestimated how good this mod is, initially 😂
But man the experience feels on-par with THUG Pro. Maybe even a bit better than THUG pro though a bit lacking currently on the maps outside of THAW. I'm so excited to see where this goes!
Though you can't even say they're lacking in levels yet as last year they were still trying to figure out how to add custom levels
@@WojackToter At the time of writing this, I assumed adding custom levels was as easy as doing it like THUG Pro 😅

how do you change the soundtrack, before I stumbled on a way to change to different ones but idk how I got to it now
if you go to their website (rethawed.com), head to downloads, download whatever one you want, you will find a readme after downloading one and you can follow the steps from that readme file and there ya go

@@WojackToter well actually, where are you seeing a readme? the only downloads I see on the page are the installer exe file, and it doesn't contain a readme either lol
@@MakhnoDripGod on the website if you scroll down to soundtracks and download one, inside of the zip folder there is a readme file
