Every Tony Hawk Game Ranked - All 18 Games - Worst to Best
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 3 фев 2018
- As a huge Tony Hawk fan, I've played every single Tony Hawk game series, and decided to rank every single game, worst to best. This accrued to a total of 18 games! I've never seen anyone rank every single game in the series individually so I decided to do it myself.

Totally thought 2 or 3 was gonna be #1--*so* glad it was THUG! From the story to the soundtrack, and some of the off-the-wall tricks (before they went full-blown crazy on THUG 2)--THUG is a masterpiece for it's time!
Did you ever play the skate series? I only played skate 2 but OMG was it awesome. The world was beautiful and what neversoft wanted. IDK if it was as detailed as Tony hawk games but it was such a nice world, just skating around was so much fun.
Which of the better Tony Hawk games would you say had the best multiplayer? I'm asking because I played the hell out of a PS1 skating game with a friend but don't recall which one and am trying to find out which.
Is thug pro free to download?
Also sadly I've only played thug 2 the goofy one and American wasteland
Which I only owned wasteland still love it
Want the 360 version of it
You broke my heart putting American Wasteland at #10
Jeezus C. Same here wtf
Only the real ones know what’s up lhh, I can’t stand that it’s never on the lists
BLASPHEMY!
It is a great game. I was disappointed with it though, it was deceptively marketed. They claimed it would all be one seamless map, but it was all separate levels seamed together with really long loading tunnels. That was super lame, and they thankfully made it one seamless flowing environment in the next game. Regardless, I 100-percented THAW and still loved it. I had to acknowledge the disappointment in this list to decide its place in the ranks.
Thaw was many people’s favorites.
American Wasteland never gets any love... it slaps me with nostalgia and makes me wanna hop on my board every time. It’s my favorite
I was looking for this comment! And it had online multiplayer. Did the most of the others have online? Also I played with a codebreaker cd and it made it 4 times more fun will always be my favorite
same here
And u can ride bmx
Feel that
@Grym wtf are you talking about? BMX's were awesome in that game
Underground needs a remaster after Pro-skater 1 and 2
Edit: if you think THUG 1 shouldn't be remastered you're wrong
Fact bro im about to whip out my ps2 lol
@@ActNasty5 Why not play it on PC unless you use your PS2 along with a CRT and RGB Scart
Slim Shady how can I get it on pc
@@jeremytanner8665 Download it or play it on PS2 Emulator,GameCube Emulator etc
Ps 1 does have a remake, its not that great though. Its basically tps5 but it costs less
personally loved the jack-assery of THUG 2
Me too, stuff like the Bull in Barcelona or Benjamin Franklin were defo super fun to me.
Definitely my favorite one. Next to thps 1 and 2.
The main issue with THUG2 is that it came right after THUG1. It's an excellent game on its own right, it's just that THUG1 improved so much on the series that THUG2 sort of felt like it didn't add that much in comparison.
this was the best
Same. It has a charm and uniqueness to it. Plus it has one of the absolute best soundtracks of the series, and a ton of content. Most of the levels are pretty memorable too.
*THUG1 THUG2 THAW ARE THE LAST GOOD GAMES*
Ayeeee
THAW 4 THE WIN
THAW FTE
THAW FTW
@@technopunk8540 tony hawk american wasteland
THUG is definitely my favorite. I actually prefer the narrative structure over the original arcade style, and I love being able to get off the board; it makes you feel less restricted and allows you to be more creative. Also, I actually skate in real life, so I'm not just a gamer.
I loved THUG I mean you could skate as Gene freaking Simmons and Iron man
THUG, American Wasteland and Proving Ground were my favorites. All three amazing games
I feel it. I remember my cousin had thug when it came out for xbox original and I was mesmerised by it. then when i got my hands on a ps2 and American wasteland it was on. IT was just my shit. I replayed it mire than twenty times not exaggerating just from memory that's the estimate literally would play it even now. lol That story had a whole fucking love interest hahaha as a kid i remember thinking i wish i had a girl like mindy lol
American Wasteland was the one I played the most as a kid. The level of character customization was incredible to me at the time. It was also such a great feeling to progress through the story and see your skatepark get built piece by piece. It was so badass that you'd take these massive setpieces from different levels and just kinda slap them into your park and it worked. It also introduced me to punk music, which is some of my favorite music today. That game had such a strong impact on me as a kid. I might just have to emulate it with my Gamecube controller USB adapter...
imagine if they remade it i would be so happy!
Who’s here after THPS 1&2 remaster announcement?!
right?
Everyone
Can’t wait!
I'm here before that but i returned because of that

Tony Hawk's American Wasteland was my favorite, had so much fun playing with my friends :')
Thps 1 was my first but I played and beat american wasteland about 9 times now
Tony Hawk Underground 2 is my absolute favorite game in the series.
Common boy
@@DustySmith1 not common at all THUG2 constantly gets overshadowed by THUG but wasteland and THUG2 are actually my 2 favorite gamesp
I loved Bam
Underground makes my heart swell with nostalgia everytime I see it or hear a track that was featured on it. Back then, Bam Margera was on top of the world, everyone wanted to skate and be skaters. Everyone wore skate shoes, had skater cuts, wristbands (sweatbands), Viva La Bam was on, etc. Bam was top dog at the time.
Hell yeah🤘🏻
Would you recommend THP8 or THP8? I WANT A GAME WITH BAM I GOT A PS3 AND PS4.
@@lukelogan3356 Thpg because it is a lil bit better but wonky physics but it is recommended for you
@@lukelogan3356 Tony Hawk's Proving Ground
As far as I was aware, THUG 2 was the last unarguably good Tony Hawk game, with American Wasteland being the last arguably good one.
So true mate! I loved THUG, I completed that game 3 times, but somehow I felt THUG2 to be great but not as good as that one. American Wasteland was good, its content and concepts were well implemented but the levels were so small and kind of boring that I couldn't end it. Besides its story is not as good as THUG and THUG2
Danny Gutierrez yeah, THUG1 is the best tony hawk game for me, THUG2 is alright to be honest. THAW on the other hand is not that good for me
Danny Gutierrez Yeah, THAWs story wasn’t that engaging and was boring for me too
Nah there's arguments everywhere. I've seen arguments that literally every game up to PG was the last good one
I'm of the opinion that THUG 2 was not a good game. That being said, I would have liked it a lot more if they had just named it after Bam Margera instead. I know that sounds silly, but It felt nothing like the Tony Hawk games I had grown up with, and not in a good way.
Underground 2 represent
Billy Cobb thug 2 is my favorite
Right it just seems like he’s just putting down games too forcefully, this list is trash along with the commentary. THUG 2 had a good storyline! It was entertaining, the missions felt meaningful and rewarding, the physics were more smooth than THUG 1, on the board, or off the board! Soundtrack can go to either game. THUG 2 was just the more superior game.
saame
Underground 2 was my shit
Billy Cobb that game was the shit
I remember crying all day on Christmas because my tony hawk ride board wouldn’t calibrate
Lol
Popular opinion: *we should get a remaster of tony hawk American wasteland*
I loved that game so much
This game was really good the story was fantastic and the way is played was on point
I think thug 1 and 2 need remasters before wasteland
I think everything up to wasteland should get a remaster
I’d be 100% happy with a remaster of that or either underground game
I loved American wasteland.. waaaay more than project 8

Nah G. That aint it

Best thps actually
YES
According to this guy, 70% of these games are where "they started to feel like a cash grab".
well they were the main reason they started the games was to support there kids😂
Everything after Underground was a Cashgrab
@@Gunplabro project 8 wasnt a cash grab. they could of easily reused the same engine but decided to make something from the ground up
@@Kevin-uj4uu The series would have been a COMPLETE joke had they not main a legitimate next-gen iteration. It wouldn't have made it to Proving Ground.
@@Halagini by going next gen they accidently made games much more shitty if they jsut stuck to the ps2 engine like what they had with thaw on 360. it actually looked kind of decent too. but by the time proving ground came out all non TH fans already moved on the series to skate and the th fans didnt like that boring grey mess with shitty online features and no cap
Project 8 better than wasteland and underground2... this ain’t it chief
I love AW and THUG2, but Project 8 is easily a way more complete game than those two. I would even say that's it's probably the best TH game I've ever played (I played all the games up until Proving Ground except for Motion). Project 8 felt special and it made Tony Hawk's games feel like they had a bright future ahead. I wish they did more games with that vive tbh
I had more fun playing THUG 1 🤷🏽♂️ that’s my personal favorite Tony Hawk Game
I didn't like Project 8. It seemed more technical and less fun.
My experience with project 8 was wishing it was more like underground or wasteland lol
My top 3 are
3 wasteland, because of the gameplay (it was really fun) and the soundtrack
2 underground, more possibilities and gameplay, but the soundtrack was a little off
1 project 8 is my favorite because it feels more real, focused on skate and technical than the others, which are rather more of an arcade style, but I feel like project 8 is very special indeed
Broke my heart ranking Underground 2 at a dirt rank teir
No underground 2 was the best it had shrek
*And shrek was the only one that was perfect in every category
Shrek is love
Shrek is life
Shrek and Weeman, what is more?!
No. Game was very painfully average and dorky at the time. Shit I remember Bam being top 10 video game losers of 2004. Thug 1 was simply the best game because it had a story that revolves around you. I have all the ps2 ones but thug 1 is simply a treasure
Underground 2 is the best, partially BECAUSE it's so silly. It makes things incredibly memorable! It also has the tightest mechanics and best combo lines out of all of the games. Getting the option to play as unique skaters with different vehicles and abilities in each level, and unlocking secret skaters was one of my favorite things as a kid. Yes, the Jackass stuff is very much Of It's Time, but it's perfect for the type of game it was.
The locations and soundtrack were so memorable as well.
@@Swagonslayuh man, true that, i just completed boston again and am now in barcelona and i remember almost everything!
you all know what I was thinking and looking to while visiting Barcelona city myself and walking along parks and pavements! and there are guys skating on those streets... lucky.
@akmsky BCN is really a nice city and there is a lot of things to do and even more if you do skate, BMX or other street sports. I live here in Barcelona and I can say that every spot in the thug2 map exists and you can actually walk by
I’m surprised and happy to see Project 8 so high on the list. It’s very underrated for how solid it is and I have a lot of fond memories playing that one.
I fucking loved project 8
It’s my second favorite behind THUG. Super underrated. Great story, amazing map layout, and nail the trick, well they did just that. Nailed it
Wut? I highly disagree with THUG 2. One of the best games ever IMO.
that game practically raised me
That's the best game I've ever played!!! (including all my ps4 and Xbox games)
Oh wait, it draws with conkers bfd
I have a lot of nostalgia with the New Orleans level
Shit was soo good!
The best thing about THUG 2 is the Mod for PC "THUG Pro".
Otherwise it wouldn't be so good.
I remember when I was a young kid that sucked at video games and I remember screaming out with joy when I finally did the mctwist over the helicopter in Hawaii. It was awesome
Ooh yeah, I remember that staying with me for some time. I kind of forgot about that until you mentioned it. That was the highlight of that game for the longest time, there was such an ultimacy to the ending. It felt so epic. The slow-mo, the camera angles, and then when you landed it drops into the chorus of Refused - New Noise. Soooo badass. An epic ending is something all the other games lacked.
THUG 1 was truly special. They nailed it. Awesome video!
abso fucking lutely.
really? i was like 6 and i was able to do it first try. maybe because i played it a lot
Damn! I didn't even know english back in the day hahaha, passing that part was hard as fuck as I didin't know I had to get the special meter up in order to achieve the mctwist! I finally got it because of some random glitch were I got the mctwist somewhere near the ramp and got it as good, lol!
you're 100% right on thug 1 vs 2 imo. They both feel great, but 1's storyline of travelling to different cities to get noticed, getting picked up by a team (including choosing which team you were on!), having a villain twist w Eric that actually made you feel emotionally invested in the storyline. It's massively fun to replay, the soundtrack slaps, and it has great humor without going overboard like thug 2 did
Pro Skater 1&2 remaster that just released is absolute perfection. If this list was remade it deserves to be high up. All the extra challenges and two games included with new tricks and physics. It feels great.

No more remakes
They should just HD them all for next gen!!!
A remake or a remaster? A remake would imply making the game from scrath again and changing mechanics and stuff, hence making the game again and getting a different result.
American Wasteland was probably my favorite.
It's all about your age. Whichever game was recent when you were 12-15 years old will be your GOAT.

THUG 2 was my favorite that was the one I grew up on
American Wasteland was my favorite Tony Hawk game. Other than Underground. Those are the ones I grew up with and played first so they always hold a special place in my heart. American Wasteland shouldve been higher on the list.
AW was also my favorite lol
Pro Skater 2 is my favorite, I still listen to the songs. I still remember the crazy taxi driver. Plus playing with Spiderman.
2 had the best atmosphere of all - because of the music and feel.
I still go back & play it.
That cab driver was something else. "You mother *beep*! You are pissing me off!"
Jw Nj that was the first time I ever heard rage against the machine 🤘
Same here.
I tried THUG pro for the first time today. The idea is cool, but it made me realize that the enjoyment I got from this series was progressing from stage to stage by doing the challenges. With THUG pro, you just pick a level and free skate on it for the most part.
damn, sad to see THAW was that low
What I noticed is that most people who played it rate it high for nostalgia and aren’t actually fans of the franchise just like how final fantasy 7 is the most popular of the series and people who like it have no interest in the franchise and don’t realise it wasn’t even the best final fantasy game on the same console.
@@rolan5948 what i liked most about THAW is the open world aspect and the seamless map transitions

Tony hawk pro skater 3 was my favorite I would spend hours on the airport level and the cruise ship
I think I only enjoyed American wasteland as I only played the original thps 3 and thps 4 so I found American wasteland really fun
American Wasteland is a good game, but it mainly builds off of the two games before it, Tony Hawk Underground 1 and 2. Without playing those ones I'd imagine you'd have quite a different opinion.
The only thing I don't like about American Wasteland is how unfinished it feels. There are a few times I'm completely taken out of the story because of those horrible cut scenes. It's a small nit pick though
Lachlan Neasham plus the bugs

I loved American Wasteland honestly. That one was my favorite Tony Hawk game.
Because you haven’t played the others and you have nostalgia for it. Beat it again and then boot up underground 1 and tell me which is better.
American Wasteland has a special place in my heart, if the first three games introduced me to some of the best bands ever, THAW got me into Hardcore Punk and all that good stuff. Plus, the amount of content is great, a campaign and classic mode
You don’t know what youre talking about... underground 2 is Sick
Yeah exactly. How can anyone not like this title? This is the most replayable TH game for me
It was barely a tony hawk game though. It was a Jackass game.
Andrew Robbins Thats what made it so good
THUG 2 really brought out the personality in the series. There’s a lot to do and a lot to customize. Totally the best!
It had the best engine for Tony Hawk
Project 8 might come close but Unreal isn't as PC friendly
THUG 2 was probably my favorite, having the very most you could do in the game, the customization, and the story -while whacky- put some pretense into what you were doing. Proving grounds would be my follow up. It was semi lackluster but it brought a lot of great ideas from project 8. Thaw was tough but since it had a lot of elements like thug 2, I had to give it to proving grounds just simply for the innovation.
When you dropped that combo at 13:00 I felt that
Thug 1 was truly a beautiful game, it didn’t age bad either I can still pick it up and play and love it... we need more tony hawk games like that

Tony Hawk Underground on the PS2 will always be in my top 5 favorite games of all time
Multiplayer in THAW was such a blast to play! It's really the last great Tony Hawk's game to be released
THPS 2-4 Were amazing.
Underground 1-2 Were My Personal Favourites.
Definitely! it's always hard to rank, but I feel 4 needed to be higher up. It didn't feel quite as speical I guess as 2&3, but it was like they perfected the tricklist here and the amount of content was just great - it's probably the one I've replayed the most
Thaw at 11 *TRIGGERED*
THUG1 was always my all time favorite!! I could just live in the game all day. It had such a great storyline, characters, and levels. I still have my copy of the game hidden away with my PS2.
Anyone who skateboarded (seriously) at the dawn of the 2000s knows that THPS 2 is the undisputable #1. Sure this guy who narrates this video stated that its from a gamer's point of view, but people who played the game and didn't understand skateboarding shouldn't hold the validity of someone that was obsessed with skateboarding at this time. The first 2 games were something very special to skateboarders and skateboarding.
I've played every tony hawk game besides 5,shred, and ride. But I felt that thug to be the best story. My favorite was probably American Wasteland and felt that you overrated Project 8 and kinda underrated Thps4. But great list.
My biggest thought when I made this was that my Project 8 pick would be controversial. I think it may be the most polarizing game. I have gotten the most feedback on my THPS4 rank and do agree with a bit of it. I think I would have ranked it higher as a personal favorite, but I thought the legacy of others titles sort of decided its place in my rank.
I like how the story was gender neutral so that u can play a chick and not lose the emersion in the story. My favorite ps2/xbox game as a kid.
Which game? Because I remember in THUG1 actually my brother creating a chick character and then there was a challenge where you had to pick up chicks to come to a party. We laughed. Sort of broke the immersion for us.
Probably referring to thps4. Also, that is the best tony hawk game. That might be childhood nostalgia talking but shut up.
thps4 is so underrated
Whenever I think about Tony Hawk I always flash back to the 'school' level, great times...
Hell yeah. I made a Childhood friend playing that level
Me the school level and the taxi level and the helicopter level and the palms level also the bulls level come to mind as well.

Keep restarting until you get the Superman track. 😎
First time I played school though it felt impossible to get 25,000
THPS2 was the first Tony Hawk game I received as like a 9 year old and I played it for HOURS every single day. It honestly had the best soundtrack.
Tony hawk pro skater 3 was my first ever skateboarding game and seeing it here again was pure nostalgia. The amount of hours i sunk into that game was ridiculous, i can still hear the soundtrack in my head lol, best THPS game ever.
Here's a fun fact about ThugPro, the developers were originally considering using the Thaw engine to build the game off of, but that was too much of a pain in the ass to do, so they stepped it down to Thug2.
I've actually always wondered they why didnt go with Thaw so we maybe could use the bicycles on the all the levels. That makes sense tho.
A real shame. But I can see why. Also the PC port is even fucking worse for thaw, they'd have even more crap to fix before even adding new content.
Tony's contract with Activision expired so now Activision fully owns the rights to the game, name and everything else associated with it.
The franchise is dead.
He still made Tony Hawks Skate Jam for Android and IOS a few months back. Its bad but it's still a Tony Hawk title released without activation, I think they just own the Pro Skater series.
I offered them $20 for the rights and they almost gave it to me but they want $25. I declined
Activision only owns the Pro Skater portion, not the whole license, Tony Hawk still has the license, but is afraid to give it to activision
@@ledzepplinreuniontour its just skate party but reskinned to be tony hawk.
MC Chase why?
I was hoping to see Underground at #1 spot because It’s my favorite aswell, and sir, you did not disappoint me. 👍
The consistent disdain for Downhill Jam has always been odd to me. I know there's tons of people who'll go to the mat for American Wasteland, what I personally consider the last drop of blood from THUG's mighty stones, but so few appreciate what DJ tried to do for the series.
Taking Tony Hawk from an arcadey, score attack title that pushed players to mastering the mechanics and inputs to a more "traditional" racing title is a bold direction. We still get some interesting level variety, music choice, and the gameplay was still up to snuff with the mainline entries.
This may be me speaking from nostalgia or some misplaced need for validation but I'd argue it's a much more worthy experiment for the series than AW or any of the motion controlled titles.
I'm playing Downhill Jam again and it's just as good as I remember it, if not better. The characters, the maps, the different gamemodes and/or challenges... I really like this game and I am SHOCKED is not the community consensus that this game is pretty good, even though I understand is not for everyone/different from the other games in the franchise. It's just.... fun.
Pro Skater 3 is definitely my favorite Tony Hawk game of all time.
It goes Underground, 3, then 1, 2, and 4 are tied or change depending on my mood

If underground wasn’t number 1 you were gonna get a dislike
I got you!
True
Dude I don't know what your smoking but TH underground 2 is one of my favorites in the TH series and is on my top five.
“ I don’t like your opinion mines better”
Yes
I agree with him on THUG being the best one but here’s my top 5 from a skaters perspective
1- THUG
2- THPS2
3-THPS1
4-THPS4
5- THUG2
Almost right, 3 is wayyyy better than 1, 4 and THUG2 though
Sam Worley I was not a fan of 3 at all, in my mind that’s where the franchise started to decline, and then 4 kinda brought a more open world feel to it which is what really made me like it. But, to each their own my man!
Another THAW hater..
@@abeardwithtattoos it's because it's not a very good game. THUG2 was the beginning of the end - far less focus on actual skating
@@Watsonclipsfordays got to remember that 3 introduced reverts though and that completely changed the trick system and the kind of combos you could do
I’ll never forget riding around town behind cars in underground
5: Pro Skater 3
4: America Wasteland
3: THUG 2
2. Pro Skater 4
1. THUG
Honorable mention :
THUG PRO
THUG 2 REMIX
Duuuuude, that's a great top
Chocolate Rain finally, someone with some gotdamn taste around here
Thug was such a disappointment given the grinding balance reset glitch
I honestly think the first 4 are better than anything that came after it.
@@mikehunt7410 That's because you're 45 years old
A THUG HD collection would be amazing!! Those were the 2 best games imo, which is crazy to say when 2 and 3 perfected the formula and had amazing levels. Adding a story mode with your own character added so much more to the experience, it was no longer just skating around for points and silly goals. It was about continuing a story with interesting characters and funny dialogue.
I’m playing THUG 2 right this very moment actually lol still love it .
Unfortunately people nowadays would be too sensitive for that amount of sexism and racism in these games. It's just impossible.
American Wasteland will always be the goat for me. Great memories playing it with my childhood friends
16. Motion

Yes, I put project 8 above THPS2, fight me
Thps4 hardly gets any love
and ps3 . from there to wastland were the ones that made me wanna go out actually buy a board and start skating even tho I don't anymore and bmx now. never the less it inspired me to have any interest at all in extreme sports if u wanna call it that. in fact I fired up my ps2 last night just to play the college level again for the nostalgia.
I just replayed all of these last week. At least 1-underground 2. THPS4 was the height of mechanics but besides alcatraz there isn’t much inspiration in level design.
THPS4 is my favourite
I thought the general consensus was that thps4 was the best one!
cdock congrats
I've played all Tony hawk games and my favorites are thug 1 and American wasteland. I love riding the bike and the maps are really good too. Great list btw!
John Pittinger definately my 2 favorites as well. Along with project 8. But thug1 and AW are the all time best .
One of the few game series where grinding is actually fun
True, I can spend hours trying to land a combo
So does the 1+2 remake come in at number ONE now that its out? 🤷
Yes
I still think THUG tops it.
THPS2 was the tony hawk game i grew up on
It was THPS 3 for me, although I did have the first one on the N64 as well. I think Tony Hawk 2 was the most innovative, though, even though I never played it, because of the addition of the manual, which really opened things up.
Underground was definitely the best. I beat that game over 20 times and it NEVER got old. Still love it. Great story.
Broo saaame
Have you seen the "Alternate Ending"? In that one, you skip the entire last level, because you knock out Mr. Sparrow instead of doing the last mission.
Underground one was and still is my favourite. It’s sense of urban design. That funny enough underground design. The story line works, challenges, everything about it is amazing. With proving ground, I like the weather they set it with. That gloomy, dreary, stormy, grey clouds filling the sky just adds to the environments urban, decaying, grungy, street design.
I remember back in the day when video stores still existed, seeing proving ground on the shelves when it came out; with the front cover of the guy in the middle of the street.
I can say from personal experience that the Tony Hawk Ride/Shred controllers do not snap in half when you kickflip them.
Spoiler Alert!!! Games listed in order:
#18 - 0:50 - Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 (shit garbage of course)
#17 - 1:46 - Tony Hawk's Motion
#16 & #15 - 2:21 - Tony Hawk's Ride & Tony Hawk's Shred
#14 - 3:29 - Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam
#13 - 4:09 - Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD
#12 - 4:37 - Tony Hawk's Proving Ground
#11 - 5:02 - Tony Hawk's American Wasteland (I personally strongly disagree with this being ranked so low)
#10 - 5:41 - Tony Hawk's American Sk8land
#9 - 5:55 - Tony Hawk's Pro Skater
#8 - 6:16 - Tony Hawk's Underground 2
#7 - 6:57 - Tony Hawk's Underground 2 REMIX
#6 - 7:14 - Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4
#5 - 7:49 - Tony Hawk's Project 8 (overrated in my opinion, I hated this game)
#4 - 8:47 - Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2
#3 - 9:24 - Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2x
#2 - 9:38 - Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3
#1 - 10:15 - Tony Hawk's Underground (in my opinion, well deserving of #1)
Amazing list, the best one out there, of course we aren't all going to agree, but you hit the nail on the head on the vast majority of these!
Don't sleep on Tony Hawk's Proving Ground, that game is way too underrated! Tony Hawk's Underground is the best one though.
It's a fine game but Skate was out and did the realistic approach way better
I fucking loved proving ground
@@YO_HO_2EASY proving ground in my top 3
I love Proving Ground. Deserve much more love.
I couldn't agree more with your placement of Underground as #1. I've played and replayed that game so many time, and it's never gotten old. The story was good, the levels were excellent. I'd love to see a remaster of this.
“You can’t even kick flip the thing without snapping the thing in half”
Braille Skateboarding: hold my skate tool.
Project 8 was way worse than American Wasteland.
Stanford Research Institute That's because you bought them on Ps2 and not on PS3 or Xbox 360 where the graphics were better and ran a smooth framerate... Proving Ground was complete trash regardless.
They were indeed not good on PS2, weren't made by Neversoft. But on PS3 and X360 it was an actual Neversoft title
THP8 is a GREAT TH game from a PS2/PSP perspective, the challenges are well done, the levels are wide open and well build, and the tricks/level continuity are far from bad
PS3 and PS2/PSP THP8 ports are completely different, and I dare say that they are completely different games. PS3 port focusing on a single-player progression, PS2 being more arcade-y.
Thats certainly a different opinion on the ps2 and psp version of THP8
i really want to go off on you guys because i "loved" project 8...... but i was only like 9 when i played it and i have never played it since so i dont know if its just nostalgia talking or if the game was actually any good.
Thug 2 and wasteland are so nostalgic to me
Proskater 3 was peak proskater. Dope menu music. Levels felt really lived in and goals challenged fans to really explore
My all time favorite is THPS2. And the best one for me, your pick, THUG. I loved the story, the levels, the characters, the music... At the time you could feel it was a great upgrade from the previous iterations. I'm surprised THAW is so low on the list. I actually loved and enjoyed that game so much. I felt the storyline was pretty cool.
