Awesome review and love the channel! I bought some Cariumas myself a few months ago, and I had a different experience. I felt that they broke in immediately, and they were one of the most comfortable skate shoes I've ever worn from the get-go(I'm 37, 6'4", and been skating for 20+ years). I would 100% exclusively ride these shoes, but I just can't pay 80-85 USD every time I need a new pair of skate shoes. Even so, hands down, one of the best skate shoes ever, if not the best, IMO. We all have different bodies though, so all of our experiences will be different. Again, awesome review Kendall! Love your skating.

      Thank you, I appreciate it!
I agree, paying that much for shoes starts to add up. I usual try to catch my shoes on sale.

Honestly, not to insult anyone, but I feel the Cariumas are in no way 'best skate shoes ever' material at all. They're not durable. They are not very impact resistant. They have a decent flick, but in a very Vans thin skate shoe type way. They're also a good $25 too expensive for what they are. I much rather spend $100 on Es Cykle or Es Accel OG / Es Evants for some real durability / technical accuracy in flick (the latter mostly applying to Cykle, however even the Es Accel OG and Evants have a decent flick). I think Cariuma Pros are barely better or on par with Vans middle-of-the-road shoes. And then I'm mostly thinking their vulc more thin skate shoes. Not the two or three Vans shoes with some actual better durability. The Vans insoles are better too, even when those aren't particularly amazing either for medium or worse impact. Don't get me wrong, a lot of people _swear_ by those shoes (Vans Pros I mean). And I'm not saying they're wrong to have that opinion. But there's no way I'd consider the Cariumas durable or comfortable or truly great. The slip-on feel thing is real. I also do think I might have been more interested in Cariuma had they not been as aggressive in their whole marketing campaign and environmentally conscious 'activism'. I mean, it's all good, but they're in no way the first or only brand to even do any of that. And almost no one seems very honest about how the shoes are mostly kind of mediocre. Like a solid 5/10 or 6/10 shoe. Not a 9/10. For the money they're asking for it, it's pretty much a pass for me.

Did you skate them directly out of the box?
Old school tip I heard was to always wear the shoes to work for a day or two to break them in prior to skating, to help soften them up. That may be needed for these! 🤙
    Fire content, dude!

      Thank you!
Yeah, I usually wear new skate shoes around the house all day when I get them to help break them in. I just think these shoes are really stiff.
