This is a great video, because a lot of non-art people don't realize that most artists got where they are through hard work, not talent. This is a great video to help inspire people to draw more. Thanks for making this, it gives me some ideas on how to cheer up my friend who is an artist when he's going through tough times.

Hello. Been watching since you had 12 Subscribers. Been in love with your art since. Question. I am painting shoes; acrylic paint, it will come off. What do I use to keep the paint semi-forever. Thank you in advance.
"Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard." This was on the wall at my gym. Practice doesn't always make perfect, but practice makes progress. That's what counts.
Art is not about perfection it’s about being yourself regardless of criticism. If you’re proud of projects then be proud. I’ve tried to incorporate that into my life because of a filmmaking career path after discouraging comments from a professor as they didn’t see how dedicated I am.
Yo, I needed this video. I've been struggling with unemployment for the last year, and suck at trying to market my art - mostly due to self doubt and anxiety. This makes me want to go dig up my old sketchbooks and take some time to reflect. You're a beast, man!
Thank you. I am 34 and everytime I try putting something in my sketchbook I feel like I suck. Because everytime I see sketchbooks on youtube I think that my sketchbook has to look like theirs, every site beautiful and perfect and thank you so so much showing yours at the beginning, that makes me feel less trash.
You're currently my favorite artist. And it's crazy to me that at 17-18 my art was better than what you showed. But I gave up on art because I felt I wasn't good enough. And now you're miles better than I am. I still have the ability to make cool or interesting art, but my passion for it just isn't there anymore. I used to fill multiple sketchbooks a year in my teens and early 20s, and now at 31 I struggle to finish a drawing because my mind and creativity feels stale. But a lot of that comes from needing my art to be “productive” instead of truly enjoying it. Thanks for this video, it was a well needed.

Until I turned 41 and I was training for a half marathon when my body started just not working like it should. I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that dropped me to my knees. I've been painting now for about 5 years and I'm still nowhere near a professional level imo but I do need to take periods of time off depending on what my body decides to let me (or not let me) do. I have sold quite a few pieces but I'm never satisfied with my work. I watched an art teachers video on RUclips one day and they were talking about not liking your own art and then said something magical.... they said "if you look at your art and think it sucks, look away. Then look back at it as if someone you love painted it. Do you like it now? " and I did! No matter how slow my progress I will continue to try because art saved my life. ❤ 🙏
As much as I love the message, the AI art in between truly takes away from it. Like I'm sure it helps to not have to pay for stock footage, but dang it's jarring as heck
As an art student, those feelings of inadequacy creep up on me really fast... what if I'm not good enough for art? Am I falling behind my peers? This video was truly inspiring to me. Thank you.
The no.1 tip is to not compare yourself to others. REALLY difficult I know, but important! Everyone is on their own journey, and we all improve at our own rate. Even if you feel like you're behind others' work, improving all the time is what matters most. Everyone will reach the same goal, but not necessarily at the same time! The day we stop learning and improving is the day we should quit whatever we're doing. Until then, it's a process. Go with the flow 😊🏴
I’m going to be 33 and didn’t really draw for like 10 years so this video is terrifying. You’re in a pretty great spot in your life to output a lot of work… You just don’t realize it yet. One of the best tips in this video is to remember that you like doing it.
This is hands-down one of the most inspiring and USEFUL videos I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing. This is my first introduction to you and it’s made me an instant fan. Thank you for caring about us enough to create and share such thoughtful and helpful work. Best wishes and continued success!
You are one of the biggest influences and inspirations for our entire family. Your kind words about the girls' work on our mural a couple years ago for your character challenge really ignited their artistic passion even more. They are 10 and 15 now and can outdraw me every day of the week and it's partly thanks to you. You are a joy and delight to watch. We loved the peek at your early art. Old sketchbooks are such fun.
Thank you for further encouraging and teaching your community, Peter. ❤ My father (who wasn’t in my life, then passed when I was 18) was an artist. Whenever I made art as a kid, I was compared to him. People would tell me “your dad is an artist, draw me something” then look at my art and say “well I guess you didn’t get his talent”. Not only was it hard living in his shadow when he wasn’t even here, it was hard feeling like I sucked and would never be good at something I loved. So by my teenage years, I just stopped making art and focused on other passions. Art always called me back and it wasn’t until a few years ago in my mid-30s that I gained the courage to finally answer the call. I’ve been making art for the past 7 years and I absolutely love it!!!
I love this! As artists we are so hard on ourselves and often compare ourselves to others and on the wrong day, that can be so discouraging. Thank you for being brave and putting yourself out there to show us how far you come and grown. Progress is not easy and takes time and dedication. Thanks for the inspirational reminder and lesson. 😊
"I love it, so I do it a lot" I love this advice. I had a drum set professor who said to us that he LOVES playing the drums. He would wake up, and he like "hey... I get to play the drums today! Yes!" So he would go and practice drums for hours. Cuz he LOVES it so much. If you love your craft, why wouldn't you be doing it for hours every day? 👍🏽 Great advice!
This video came exactly at the right time in my life. I'm here with my ipad unable to put a line down, because I'm struggling to figure out what I want to achieve next with my art. I have tons of projects I'd love to work on, but I keep thinking I'm not good enough nor ready to start said project. I'm so passionate about a story I want it to be done once I'm ready, but you made me understand I just have to go for it and do something instead of just staring at the white canvas!
I've also been working as a professional freelance artist for nearly a decade now and I've been looking at my old art a lot. Keeping a sketchbook all my life really did help me hone and practice and play. It's so nice to see your old art and see how you've changed over the years of me watching you. Cannot wait to see where you go in the future.
My daughter is getting a drawing tablet for Christmas and I'm going to make sure she watches this before she starts her new digital art journey. Love your work x
I was in my mid twenties when I started keeping sketchbooks and working to improve! Your art at 18 was better than mine at 23! Im pretty decent nowadays cus I didn’t let it stop me!
Great AI art use, please don't do it again. The video was amazing, it's a great story about becoming an artist but the use of ai art even if it's silly just diminishes the purpose. I loved the video and watching your journey! Truly inspiring!
Very inspirational. At 17/18 i won second place in cartooning at my school's art fair. I actually spent time on my art. I stopped drawing for several years years due to depression and recently started again. My characters are still the same skill level but I've improved my realism because I went to art school and took animation and design courses. You can improve no matter what age with practice and patience. I might not be advanced enough to be more than amateur and i suffer from imposter syndrome a lot. However because of artists like you that i admire, I started putting my art on RUclips and social media to share with someone who might want to learn what I learned over the years. Takes some time out of my week to just practice and now branching into other mediums.
TenHun this video is epic. Appreciate how you share advice & your story, while also building up the art community. Plus, you make videos where you're not just chasing views/subs. Keep it up bro
I love this video because I was the same way!! I still am this way!! I’m never satisfied with any piece and the strive makes me try harder the next time. Love this motivational video ❤
I'm sure i could be as good as you, or who knows even better. Lol I dream big. However, Im in my 40s now and still never ever filled one sketchbook, even if i would reserve a page for any art I ever made that doesn't fit a sketchbook... The big issue used to be (lack of) money, now it's (lack of) time and soon it'll be (old) age....
So great to watch you say "Amazing tutorials" while showing us a small piece of a Jazza video! You two are my favorite artists on RUclips! Thanks very very much for your work!
Born talent is an excuse not to work. No one. No one is born amazing. Talent = ability to learn, practice, create, iterate. Talent is the ability to make mistakes, learn from them and grow. Great video!!!
Thanks for this video! This message is so important. I am very allergic to sentence like: "Wow, you are so talented, I nevee could make this!" "I am not good in making art." I personally come from a household, where everybody is better in art than me. And where everybody tells me its because: "I am not that talented" or "I make to less effort" abd also "I will never a real artist." But instead to my brother, I had the passion. I painted and painted and painted. I have not the greatest style and I will not be a fulltime artist (mostly because its to stressful). But I love what I do. And others, too. So kids please remind: Talent or being gifted is a lie. Its the passion you are able to put in something to work hard and getting better every day. Also I will use some tips for my fulltime job. I am a magazine editor. So thanks 😊
At the end of my career now (was too soon due to injuries: my big tip is don’t ignore pain because there’s no such thing as ‘just a little bit of RSI’. If it has an ‘I’ at the end it’s an injury and it needs attention, so stop and get it looked at by a good professional!). Wanted to write a book (partly humorous partly fuming with rage and sorrow) about how to fail in business and lose a fortune (and a house) but haven’t (yet) because same injury that hampered my drawing, painting, arting and crafting also makes writing hard. Hands are connected to wrists, elbows, shoulders, necks, spines and heads and if you have them you need them all working adequately to do most stuff. So, this is to young and budding artists and creative souls: listen to this man and take notes. This is wisdom, this is generosity and this is valuable teaching. Very shocked you don’t have at least one million subscribers. You deserve more. 🎨✍🏼🏆❤️
I really needed to see this! Even though I'm a musician, there are so many parallels with visual art and music. Thank you so much for sharing what you know! You're amazing!
I discovered i can draw when i was near that age to ❤ reading Comics and trying to understand how to actually draw faces. But since I was a kid i used to sketch a lot, but never considered i was good. These i can even create my own painting. TenHun and Slew really push me into it, you guys are very inspiring people. ❤❤❤👏 I post on Instagram, TikTok, and a bit also here on RUclips.
TENHUN... PLEASE tell me you haven't used AI generated art in this video (00:06:46 - 00:07:15 etc.), a video about how to become a better artist and find your own personal style??? I'm a huge fan and long time subscriber... I love your journey and your attitude about the art community. But Generative AI art (if you used it) is a no fly zone man. It is the antithesis of everything artists stand for. I hope I'm wrong here... LOVE the rest of the messages/ideas in the video though.
Oh man, it's so wonderful you made this video. There's so many people who believe you need some kind of godgiven talent to be good at anything. And just give up or don't start at all. You show what it takes to develop a skill and more important, anybody can reach your level if they just put in the effort and mindset. Thanks a million for posting this! ❤
I was the really poor farm kid that never had a sketchbook until college. I used scrap computer printer paper from businesses around my little bitty hometown. I'd go around about once a month and ask for scrap paper. This was the late 80s into the early 90s so there was a lot of scrap paper from businesses and they we very kind to a art kid. I have some of those scraps still and very cringeable BUT I love them still. It really shows my love then and now.
I‘m 40 and loved to create and art as a child and teenager. But then I stopped and never did art anymore 😢 I hope to find the self esteem to do it again
Thank you for making this video. I didn't start taking art more serious until my late 20s and even to this day I know I have a hard time drawing and writing out of fear, I fear people won't love my art so it blocks me but I try to create every day but I feel like I'm stuck in tutorial hell, where I keep paying for courses waiting to get to a certain level. Art is so weird but I love it
It is truly surreal to see you say "hey these are the two art books I had as a kid" and THEY'RE THE SAME TWO I HAD, like seriously nobody knows who Jeno Barcsay is
Man, I really needed this. I always worry people don't want to hear about my process or the stories behind my pieces so I don't speak up unless they ask. Showing the very real audience response to no story vs vulnerable story was so friggin encouraging. Thank you so much
This video really means a lot, I’m trying to figure out how to monetize my art and get it out there. Hearing some words of inspiration has really given me some new found motivation.
This is a very inspiring video about well inspiration and creativity! It was a bit weird to see AI generated art used in editing though. Using stock footage is kinda a meme. But artist using AI that for sure was used to train on other people stolen art without consent did detract me from the message.
Yeah I dont`t know how to feel about it It`s kinda funny for memes but as a bit in a video about this topic and not addressing it feels kinda tone deaf imho
@d.sadster5684 same, considering this channel has been awful careful not to touch AI art topic at all, this editing kinda feels like indirect endorsement to AI art
@@vtt5176 I get editing takes time, but it is also an art form, so why rush it? Just remove the bit entirely or pay for stock photos and do the lil mouth animation Lots of youtubers do that, one of my personal faves is the SpiffingBrit who puts his own "stock watermark" and embraces the grid look; it's charming lol This does feel like indirect endorsement
Ive been drawing from the age of 2, started with box man stick figures, hit realism at 12-13 and continued to try and improve, Im 23 now. Draw what you love, get creative, mash all your favorite things in the work. Others may love your work as well.
haha shout out to all the gazy pugs! (i have 2!) im a fan of your art, thanks for doing this video at a very strange time of my life, where im in between quitting or keeping going!
Your words of emotion and persistance are absolutely true. If you love doing something creative, there's nothing that can stop you from doing it except your own fear/anxiety/depression/whatever - and when you push past all that "stuff", the world of joy for that "something" is there for the taking. Now I'm NOT an artist (I spent 30 years trying drawing and painting of various forms. It's not something I'm good at). But I AM 100,000% a crafter (knitting, beading, woodcarving, weaving, crochet). I love it, and I'm damn good at it - I've had professionals and teachers tell me that. I've spent the last 5 years not doing it (various reasons) but that stinky little b*stard just won't let go (I've tried every 6 months to say bye - that was a BIG no go.). So in 2024 I'm going back in. YIPPPPPEEEEE!!!
I am in the middle of creating a painting portfolio using only 1 art style. But a lot of times, I feel that getting to a point where I will get paid to paint and be a gallery artist will never happen for me. So although I love art, it feels fruitless most of the time. This video gave new life to my fire. Awesome, awesome vid.
Hello. I like your video. I'm an artist, music composer for movies, television, and videos, photographer since the age of 8. Writer, author. I'm always creating new things. I don't criticize my art, because I don't believe in failure, I believe in success, and the ability to accomplish a goal. I don't set goals either. I use my time wisely. I set the time on my phone for an hour at a time. Art doesn't consume me. I also compose a music composition in a few minutes. Sometimes I can compose 3 songs within an hour. Sometimes one. I don't let anything consume me, or my time. I am in control. I'm glad I came through your channel. Enjoy your day.😊
Wow! Yes! Yes! Yes! I was in education for twenty five years and it was my pleasure to teach art for one year - I’m not an art teacher. My background was in illustration and so I pleaded to be given a chance! Kids would say I can’t draw, I’ll never be as good as you and want to give up. Explaining that my love for art and hours of work was what made me better helped. But it was taking in my old sketch books that really did the trick! I’m retired now and my past students still come up to me and chat - a lot went on to study art in uni! Thank you for sharing your path!!!!!🥰
YOOO that's crazy! Both those books are what I started with. I learned perspective from How to draw comics the marvel way that won me my first blue ribbon waaay back!
man this helped me a lot. im in the stage that, when im in the middle of creating my art i always ending up being discourage because im not satisfied with it even though its not finished yet. so i ended up deleting it and start another.
I called 17-18! Bc I knew where you were going. And the new vm lie on Netflix, Love and Monsters, reminds me of this with Joel’s monster journal! Thank for this. My kids need this. I need this. I used to do body art with henna and jagua and used to paint. I am now 40 and terrified to step back in because I’m convinced I’ve lost it.
This was very inspirational as a begginer and being almost 18 i lack confidence but this video rensured. Im gonna graduate HS and wanna make art a full time career and this video is helpful thank you.
god, i love your videos soooo much!!!! been going through an extended period of low inspiration towards my art - and watching this gives me hope and excites me! much love from Detroit
this is a great video for other creatives as well. for example, i write my little pony fanfiction, and one of the things i will never do is delete the first fanfic i wrote for the same reason you keep your old sketchbooks. comparing it to its sequel shows me how much i'd grown as a writer in the five or so years between them
I appreciate your openness with this video. From your initial sketches to your high schooling and more. I started my channel in an attempt to regain that muscle memory from hand sketching after years of graphic design work using illustrator and photoshop. It’s been an uphill battle, but I can see the progress beginning to pay off. Thank you for sharing. Appreciate the advice and tips. 🙌🏼
I used to draw and paint a lot when I was younger, and even tried to make a living with it for a couple years. I have always struggled with drawing from my head, I've always had to use reference material. I discovered what aphantasia (having little to no visual imagination) is a couple years ago, and did not realize that being unable to visualize things in my head wasn't a "normal" thing. I also lacked the ability to "sell" myself and my art, and I eventually gave up on making art for money and just do it occasionally for fun or as a gift now. Lots of respect for being so open, and sticking to your art, you're definitely living the dream. :D
Dude, I was going to write a novella on here about you, what you do, what you've done for many artists and teaching and learning art in general. I don't want to bog down the comments so I'll keep it short. Thank you. I appreciate you. I'm working on starting my RUclips channel and I hope if you ever do another art collaboration, that I'll be one of the channels participating. Keep on doing what you do. The members of our house love you.
This video was what I needed to hear. As an artist who has been too scared to put myself online and speak in videos, but wants to, this is so inspiring in helping take that leap of faith and go for it. I've watched your videos for several years, usually while working on art, and I know no matter what video it is, listening to your experiences and advice is always time well spent. Thanks for being a role model for artists and lending your hand in helping others grow.
Ten Hundred, you are my hero!!! If you ever find yourself in Boston, there is an amazing free wall to paint and my partner and I will treat you to dinner! Happy holidays to you and the Ten Hun Family!!!
One of the reasons I took my new job at a "tough" school is they focus on story telling, and use the Big Picture learning program (check it out, it's changing lives for so many kids). TBH I doubt that I would have had the courage to do this without your "work for your dreams" ethos that floats my boat. That, and when I was leaving the interview, their electronic sign was advertising their 7th grade field trip to look at street art around the city... Your messages in this video - all of them - are so important. Thank you, Ten Hun, this video was exactly what I needed in the midst of moving home, learning a new way to teach, navigating so many things. Somehow, your videos help me focus and provide a bit of mental breathing room. I'm so glad I found you, and so appreciative of all you and your crew do. Much love and blessings to you all, and your amazing community.
❤This video is SO AWSOME! I needed this, I’m a few months away from my RUclips channels first anniversary, & this was really encouraging, thanks Peter, love you art so much!❤ happy holiday season Peter!❤️💚🎄☃️❄️
Great advice! I would add finding a supportive community such as a group of like minded friends or a local art league. My local art league was a huge game changer for me when I finally got up the nerve to submit work for a show. Ever since then they have been supportive and encouraging.
Love this. I shared with my 12 yr old granddaughter. She is an amazing artist already, but doubts her skills. Thank you for these words of encouragement that I could share.
Hey @TenHundred. Thank you for this! you dropped this video just as I was seriously thinking of shutting down my channel and socials for my hobby (plastic modelling). Now I need to rethink and push on regardless of whether anyone immediately around me would support me or not. This video has become that crucial last minute wood thrown to reignite the fire of passion in me.
This wasca great videoI loved art as a child, but one bad teacher when I was 16 put me off. It was only at 32 that my love for art was re-sparked. It has been a long 8 years but now I have refound my style.
This is a great video, because a lot of non-art people don't realize that most artists got where they are through hard work, not talent. This is a great video to help inspire people to draw more. Yup, at my school they were always telling us “1% talent, 99% work” & that’ll just stick with me forever
From art to non-art there’s only one brush stroke. Do not divide
Hello. Been watching since you had 12 Subscribers. Been in love with your art since. Question. I am painting shoes; acrylic paint, it will come off. What do I use to keep the paint semi-forever. Thank you in advance.

Same. My problem is loosening up. Everything I draw I focus on making it perfect & need to let it go, but I struggle with it, for real.

I hear you!
Something concrete I try to change my focus / reduce overthinking:

Hope it helps! :-)

This hits as artbooks from highschool are my origin story... after finding them 10+ years after highschool I rediscovered my passion for art.
"I love it, so I do it a lot"
I love this advice.
I had a drum set professor who said to us that he LOVES playing the drums. He would wake up, and he like "hey... I get to play the drums today! Yes!"
So he would go and practice drums for hours. Cuz he LOVES it so much.
If you love your craft, why wouldn't you be doing it for hours every day?
👍🏽
Great advice!
This might be the most important video released this year for creatives.
When you were talking about not ever being satisfied and not being the best and showed a James Jean book. I felt that
Knowing the rules to break them is the best advice. A lot of new artists will forego learning proper fundamentals and chalk up bad art to “style”
I was in my mid twenties when I started keeping sketchbooks and working to improve! Your art at 18 was better than mine at 23! Im pretty decent nowadays cus I didn’t let it stop me!
I did nothing but paint for years 💪
Honestly one of my ALL TIME favorite videos of yours. Much needed and appreciated!!
Great AI art use, please don't do it again. The video was amazing, it's a great story about becoming an artist but the use of ai art even if it's silly just diminishes the purpose. I loved the video and watching your journey! Truly inspiring!
With the risk of sounding cliche……I NEEDED this!!!!! It was very inspiring and clarifying to my art brain!!!🧠
This is absolutely wonderful! Making art also brings me so much joy and peace.
Lol
I dream big.
Some golden knowledge dropped by a person who's been where some of us are right now! Can relate and noticed some of these already happen to me! 🌴🎭
Born talent is an excuse not to work. No one. No one is born amazing. Talent = ability to learn, practice, create, iterate. Talent is the ability to make mistakes, learn from them and grow. Great video!!!
Wonderful reflections 🧡
Love the point of having a plan. Set yourself up for success. Do thumbnails, do comps, work it all out before you even get the canvas.
I really needed to see this! Even though I'm a musician, there are so many parallels with visual art and music. Thank you so much for sharing what you know! You're amazing!
Man, seeing Upbeat Child on that book took me back. It also made me realize that it's been 20 years since the weequal -
I discovered i can draw when i was near that age to ❤ reading Comics and trying to understand how to actually draw faces. But since I was a kid i used to sketch a lot, but never considered i was good. These i can even create my own painting. TenHun and Slew really push me into it, you guys are very inspiring people. ❤❤❤👏 I post on Instagram, TikTok, and a bit also here on RUclips.
I realized when I don't create I feel anxious and irritated. Making art makes me feel so calm and happy :,)
Sketchbooks are great to look back on to see how much you've grown
Great video Ten Hundred. You should do a sketchbook tour, and show every sketchbook you’ve ever filled, including the one in this video
Glad your mom kept those old sketchbooks. Hope you're feeling better.
Thank you. For your optimisme , honesty and support.
Every Artist/Creative needs to watch this! ❤ #art #artist #artists
BLESS A NEW VIDEO!!! Just as im working on a commission
The most important 'thing' about your sketchbooks is that they exist . . . you did the work. Excellent.
Thank you so much
As an artist , this One of the best videos I’ve ever seen! !
🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 helped me a lot
Your voice overs are so soothing to listen to and I love your original music. If you ever make an audio book, I'll be first in line
I'm sharing it with my High School students! They need to hear it! Thanks from a fellow Michigander!
This video really means a lot, I’m trying to figure out how to monetize my art and get it out there. Hearing some words of inspiration has really given me some new found motivation.
Ten, we missed these kinds of videos…almost feels like a back to normal. Thank you
This is a very inspiring video about well inspiration and creativity! It was a bit weird to see AI generated art used in editing though. Using stock footage is kinda a meme. But artist using AI that for sure was used to train on other people stolen art without consent did detract me from the message.
Yeah I dont`t know how to feel about it
It`s kinda funny for memes but as a bit in a video about this topic and not addressing it feels kinda tone deaf imho
@d.sadster5684 same, considering this channel has been awful careful not to touch AI art topic at all, this editing kinda feels like indirect endorsement to AI art
@@vtt5176 I get editing takes time, but it is also an art form, so why rush it? Just remove the bit entirely or pay for stock photos and do the lil mouth animation
Lots of youtubers do that, one of my personal faves is the SpiffingBrit who puts his own "stock watermark" and embraces the grid look; it's charming lol
This does feel like indirect endorsement
I've started a new account and deleted the old but it's been a awesome ride watching you grow over the years Ten Hundo.
Keep 'em coming brah! 🤜🤛
This... was the video I and many other people needed. Cheers mate!
Ima ima cry, it feels so hard but I've been trying for 2 years now n I don't plan on giving up, just keep going❤❤❤❤
I learned perspective from How to draw comics the marvel way that won me my first blue ribbon waaay back!
the timing of this video is so great! pressing forward on my art journey!
man this helped me a lot. im in the stage that, when im in the middle of creating my art i always ending up being discourage because im not satisfied with it even though its not finished yet. so i ended up deleting it and start another.
Bam bam bam! This is what I’m here for! Thank you
This video brought out so many emotions in me. Thank you so much for telling your story.
This was very inspirational as a begginer and being almost 18 i lack confidence but this video rensured. Im gonna graduate HS and wanna make art a full time career and this video is helpful thank you.
I can’t finish anything I just wish I could commit to hating and loving my heart equally. Your art is gorgeous
god, i love your videos soooo much!!!! been going through an extended period of low inspiration towards my art - and watching this gives me hope and excites me! much love from Detroit
THANK YOU! You dont know how much that helped me... or maybe you do. Thank you.
You're such a beautiful human! Such a powerful message 😊
this is a great video for other creatives as well. for example, i write my little pony fanfiction, and one of the things i will never do is delete the first fanfic i wrote for the same reason you keep your old sketchbooks. comparing it to its sequel shows me how much i'd grown as a writer in the five or so years between them
I appreciate your openness with this video.
Your journey is amazing..glad that you kept at it and are sharing your story.
I needed this!!! Thank you ten hundred!! One day I hope to collab with you 🙏🏼 BAPOA to the moooon babyyy (one doodle at a time 😉) big love 🤍
Great advice! I would add finding a supportive community such as a group of like minded friends or a local art league. My local art league was a huge game changer for me when I finally got up the nerve to submit work for a show. Ever since then they have been supportive and encouraging.
I needed this right now. This joint hit!! Thanks!
You’re such a big art role model to me, and to hear these words coming from you brought me to tears 😭 ❤ thank you
There are 3 artists that inspired me to draw but you are one of them that made me believe in myself and keep going with it ❤ thanks 10Hun
Hey 10hundred, thanks. This is both generous of you and encouraging.
This wasca great videoI loved art as a child, but one bad teacher when I was 16 put me off. It was only at 32 that my love for art was re-sparked. It has been a long 8 years but now I have refound my style.
