    You just reduce the diameter of the drain severely, will have problems in the future, should have got a 12 inch toilet and be done with it

      Thank you for the comment, there was no reduction in the interior diameter of the fitting or pipe diameters. The new fitting was 3" and the existing pipe was 3" and the reduction in the length occurred in the straight hub sections of the fittings. The 4" section of pipe was glued to the outside of the 2 hub sections ( the new offset fitting and left over coupling on the existing pipe) to add additional strength to the assembly. The new (10") toilet was selected to improve the clearance in front of the toilet to make it easier for the handicapped client to access the shower. Hope that makes sense?
