Trapping MINNOWS Under ICE | Setting and Checking Traps [2018] ... In this video I will show you the basics of trapping minnows in winter through the ice. All you need is somewhere to set a trap, some bait and a trap. For bait, my favorite is bread, but dog food will work as well. Anise Extract seems to help as well.

Cool video man, do you set the trap on the bottom or closer to the ice? Do you think they like the deeper or shallow part of a small pond?

Thanks man. I set the trap on the bottom, but you could try raising it up and see what works best. I think the deepest part of a pond would be better in the winter

Do you have a answer at this question I minnow trapping in river and all those river are connected to a lake of 45 km long so I don’t have little closed pond like you so where I can find the minnow in winter beacose they change location my summer spot give nothing in winter
