That is the style of singing that led me to love gospel music. Quartet, that turned out to be great friends of ours through the years was the Earl Weatherford and the Stamps Quartet . Years later, I sang with a Southern Gospel Quartet - Evidence.❤️✝️

This shows why You Tube can be a blessing. I have this song recorded on a 30 year old cassette tape, have no tape player & curiously searched You Tube. I was shocked to find this & several other songs that brought me to joy, again.

Awesome....I think George was wearing that jacket on the cover of their acapella album, Voices in Praise.

Best I can tell, this was about 1980-1982. Pianist: Roger Bennett, Bass: George Younce, Lead: Glen Payne, Baritone/Bass Guitar: Mark Trammell, Tenor: Kirk Talley. Anyone able to narrow it down any further?

In sin I wandered, Talents I squandered, I did not hear (my brother),
Him whom I need, Then Jesus found me,
From sin unbound me, And now I'm telling the world about His love (
    His wondrous love)
I love to sing about my King (wonderful King) And make His praises
Gladly ring (gladly to ring) He gave His
Life (gave His own life) On Calvary's tree (
Calvary' tree) That we from sing
Might be made free (might be made free)
    I'm happy to say (
I am glad to say) I'm on the right way (
I am on the way) That leads from night (that leads from night) To
    Perfect (unto perfect day),
Tis joy to know (only I know), This friend of above (
Jesus above), That's why I'm telling the world about His love (
    His wondrous love)
Yonder in glory, We'll tell the story of Christ my Lord (my Savior),
    Trusting His word,
With saints and sages through endless ages,
We will tell the whole world about His love (
    His wondrous love)
    Tis joy to know (
Only I know), This friend of above (
Jesus above), That's why I'm telling the world about His love Stamps

With this lineup, I would guess sometime around 1982-1983. Mark Trammell didn’t join until 1980 and Kirk Talley had left by the end of 1993.
