N/a diesel, when you don't need to go fast. Looking forward to the video about how to work all those levers, probably has the crawl gear in there and a whole bunch of locks.

We’re looking forward to figuring out what those levers do too 😂

The large empty boot would be optional front and rear PTO, the thing was made to act as a tractor on farms. Hands down the king off the road, just cant go very fast. The landy probably gets loud on the highway but try spinning a bunch of ring gears at high rpm

I love the recovery videos, I really love shop and fabrication/build videos. Hope to see more of these.

Thank you! Believe it or not filming the shop videos is actually more challenging than the recovery videos. It kinda goes against your instincts to film yourself working on your projects, rather than to just get the work done. But we’re gonna do our best and bring you guys along for the ride 🤠

54in Rubber. Might need to lift the Cab! Unimog 6 bolt axles have straight-cut gears in portals. No glow plugs on the OM352.

Sounds like you’re the man we need to talk to! We don’t have any experience with Unimogs and the learning curve is pretty steep. It’s unlike any of our other 4x4s. The plan was to lift the cab an inch or two. We’re anticipating needing to with those meaty 54s

The mercedes workshop manuals can be downloaded as PDF. There are some great online forums. I have seen 6’s in far worse shape than yours. Let your fingers do the searching before your arms do the lifting! @@threecreeksbackcountry

We had a unimog at work here in the UK in the late 1980's. The cab felt tiny compared to our other trucks, but man, it could climb. Legend had it that it was as fast in reverse as it was forwards, but I never witnessed that.

We can test that theory once we get it up and going 🤠

Yes, one of the many levers just switches between forward and reverse so you get the same gears both ways, they had an optional crawl mode with super low gearing and a gear splitter.

We actually don’t think this one has the coveted super low gearing, from what the previous owner told us and looking at the levers, but it’s on the mod list for sure

might want to check the spacing on the roll cage, i think a Sasquatch could get in.
