Cant compare Cause they are different renditions and styles all.together. Different feels. Both give me.different emotions. NE versions Id say more light hearted. B2M More contemplative If that makes any sense lol U get it
Boys to men's version was a slick rendition but if I have to choose I must go with the original, it's a certain energy you feel every time you here it.
@@tonyfelder1206 You would be surprised how many songs B2M Have covered😳 They have a huge catalog of covers ie The Temps Just my imagination, Klmaxx I Miss You, Lonestar Amazed. They have so many. They have Spanish covers and fun stuff like from The movie Grease Beauty school drop out LOL
This is a good one. Though NOTHING can compare to the original, I've always thought Boyz II Men's version was just as good. They did this track some serious justice💯
New Edition, hands down! They had the vocals, charisma, sex appeal, and stage presence. They were overall entertainers. I'd categorize Boyz II Men as pure vocalists
After listening to both groups, I give props to both groups for holding it down. However, I give much more respect to Boyz ll Men because they did their own rendition of "Can You Stand The Rain" in a Capella. That shows me that whether it's with music or not, they can beast the song. If you get N.E. to do it in a Capella, do you think the sound will still be there? Overall, madd respect to both groups for doing their thing.

Man please New Edition perfected this song everybody else just tried to lip sync it .lol I love boys to Men but N.E. is in a class of their own. Like the Jackson's was in a class of their own.
It's a metaphor man...lol lip sync mean they just song it almost exactly like N.E. but they just did it without music to show it's their own style. But they did sound very good though.
I love both versions and cannot choose a winner. Both groups brought the song home in their own unique way. The ending of the video was so adorable and kept me smiling. :).
The Original by New Edition the greatest version that will ever be!!!!!!! It has so much more vocal emotion, a true photograph of a outstanding time in music !!Boys to Men did a good rendition ...
New Edition has more emotional clarity for me. The lead vocals of the other version undermines this clarity with all the twiddly 'vocal effects' he deploys that might be skilful but which, for me, detracts from the emotional flow contained in the melody. A lot of vocalists, especially these days, need to remember that often less is more.
I listened to New Edition's version all the way through. When Boyz II Men began, I knew I was ready to comment...I waited. I waited until halfway through Boyz II Men's version. I grew up alongside New Edition. I have enjoyed Boyz II Men (we are the same ages). There is no comparison, NEW EDITION ALL THE WAY. When songs are produced and sang to perfection...every other version will fall flat in comparison. Example: Respect by Otis Redding (I am a fan) and Aretha Franklin. Her version was commercially better. There are other songs that are the same way. Boyz II Men paid great tribute to New Edition. Boyz II Men's version is good, but, in comparison; New Edition's is better. Footnote: I did not know Boyz II Men recorded this song.
I think in terms of a complete song you have to give it to NE. However the B2M version, which is the one I grew up with has a certain poignancy to it. I also think B2M have more singers in their group and it shows in the power of their voices. Doing it acapella gives it a very different feel. I love both and switch between them depending on my mood. Wanya usually can’t be topped but Johnny Gill’s whoah-ooh-oh-ooh-ohhhhhh! definitely has the edge for me in the bridge.
This is a mood thing. Ill say NE kept their song and B2M did it justice. Acapella too! Temptations, New Edition, Boyz 2 Men, greatest pure singing groups ever. Groups made of lead singers.
This is a tough one they’re both great for different reasons and time periods. I grew up in the 90’s so the B2M version holds significance for me personally but both are classics.
I have to give Boyz II Men the thumbs up on this one. A Cappella requires a special skill to produce pitch and harmony so refined it sounds like a symphony orchestra in the background of the lead singer. There's no comparison to the smooth melodic tones they deliver from deep within their souls minus man made instruments. New Edition is good but Boyz II Men is better.
Without a doubt, "NE"! Still remember hearing this for the first time being played on the radio 📻 and saying, "whose voice is that?" This was my introduction to "Johnny Gill." 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶💖🔥This jam is still on my playlist.💿💃🏾💝🤳🏾
No comparison...New Edition. But kudos to B2M...they are paying homage in a beautiful way
"No comparison" was my first thought when I saw the title lol. Even the music NE did as kids outweighs B2M discography
I like the original but Boyz II Men = greatest of all time
I was going to type the same comment!
Boyz ll men sounds better.. bit the 1st is a classic.. But no comparison is stretching it very far
Cant compare
Cause they are different renditions and styles all.together.
Different feels.
Both give me.different emotions.
NE versions
Id say more light hearted.
B2M
More contemplative
If that makes any sense lol
U get it
Boys to men's version was a slick rendition but if I have to choose I must go with the original, it's a certain energy you feel every time you here it.
I wasn’t even aware boys 2 men had a version? 😭😭 New edition’s version is a staple in 80s r&b. Period.
I didn't know about the cover either. And I'm a humongous fan 🤔🤔🤔🤔.
New Edition's original just has more to it I think.
Ok, I'm 60 years old and I love the acapella rendition by Boyz II Men. The vocals are spot on. But, New Edition owns this song!
New Edition and it’s not even close
Rite
Agreed!
New Edition reigns supreme on this one. I believe this my first time hearing Boz II Men's rendition.
New Edition. The original is like when do something from the heart, it is done with more passionate intent to send a message.
I agree
darren New Edition will get EVERYBODY dancing. 💞
@@heathertea2704 No argument there.
New Edition. Hands down!! Even though I loved both groups and both sounded beautiful💖 and that ending had me rollin😂
This is a good one. Though NOTHING can compare to the original, I've always thought Boyz II Men's version was just as good. They did this track some serious justice💯
I know I'm representing all South Africans when I say New Edition takes the cup!!💞
When you first hear Johnny Gill hit that note, it's on!! Love Boyz 2 Men but NE all day on this one!!
I love both groups renditions of this classic song. Everyone stay safe and be blessed. 🍻💕
P. S. The ending of the vid was priceless, thank you 😄😄😘😘
New Edition is better even though Boys II Men gave “Can You Stand The Rain” an unique twist singing acapella.🎶
love boyz to men but they can't stand the rain. johnny gill's voice reign supreme.
😂😂
New Edition...nuff said
New Edition, hands down! They had the vocals, charisma, sex appeal, and stage presence. They were overall entertainers.
I'd categorize Boyz II Men as pure vocalists
New Edition aint had NO vocals..
Their like take 6 a vocal group thus a better group
New Edition ☝🏽🥇❤
New Edition hands down
Both.. Am fan of both bands.. Different voices.. Different music instruments, miss this great music nowadays ❤️❤️❤️
Awww man why you do this? This is my first hearing Boyz to Men and they sound amazing! I don't want to pick! I enjoyed both! 😆💕
New Edition...... hands down 🥰
I’m a big fan them both I undoubtedly give this to my first favorites NE!
Come on man! N.E. all day!
... Tru.. But Boys 2 Men slay di acapella fi real.. Their vocals are sublime..

I totally agree.
🤯 finally someone said it!
They have it here on YT acapella also!❤ Boyz 2 Men are outstanding, but Johnny's mature, classy, sensual, powerful voice, is simply unmatched!❤❤❤
New Edition, All Day, Every Day, Nuff said!!!!! However, I still love Boys 2 Men ☺️

Boyz II Men’s version was super dope! First time hearing it...
Shockingly, both are classics now!
Agree and both groups are legendary
I felt depressed with Boyz II Men’s version and just rewinded back to New edition
Only 17 seconds in. New Edition is the winner.
Of course, New Edition but B2M did great with the break down of perfectly blended harmonious vocals!💖😍👍💯
Man please New Edition perfected this song everybody else just tried to lip sync it .lol I love boys to Men but N.E. is in a class of their own. Like the Jackson's was in a class of their own.
The Jacksons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love both groups, but new edition always.
I can't choose between the two...I just can't 😭
New edition

This is like Lakers of the 80s vs the Bulls of the 90s!!!
Respeck yo elders they came b4 u and taught u some thangs n.e. all the way
NEW EDITION IT THE TRUTH, BOYS 2 MEN IS THE TRUTH WHEN IT COMES TO ACAPALA.
New Edition
I like both but i love ACAPELLA SINGING
Me also. Well said 😊
Yes,Agreed. Four perfect ears and vocals in concerted effort 🥰💯
Smfh. It's New Edition
Especially when it's done "right"
Hear is how great New Edition verison is. I'm not about to listen to B2M version of it, and I never heard and don't want to. Thank You.
Love both with their own styles one relaxing music, one to getting you in the mood
😂😉💓💕👬🌻🌹🌎💋☝
No question about it New Edition nailed it for me !
No one touches New Edition in this groove! ....
I love both... too much talent to choose💞
Beautiful song always. Both versions are good but NE will have my vote. The first version brings good memories and feelings behind it.
New Edition's version is always the best classic.
B2M all the voices blended together
Please!!!!!!! Somebody don't know music
@@stylesj.4752 Yes, that'd be you.
Boyz 2 Men! Timeless sound and quality. Original is a classic but the remake always sounds new.
The absolute best generation to grow up in! We had that!
The production and the feeling in the air on New Edition's version leaves no room for competition on this one. N
Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis all day
New Edition 💗
Johnny 💗
All day
No doubt
Thank you💗
Jimmy Jam💗
Terry Lewis💗
NEW EDITION ! 👏👏👏
I'm pretty sure Boyz II Men's version was ‘97***
Yeah u right. Evolution released 97
New Edition.
New Edition without question. Boys II Men are one of the best vocal groups ever. I like there version also but New Editions was better.
Come on, Johnny! I want to hear it Acapoco ☺

Temptations, New Edition, Boyz 2 Men, greatest pure singing groups ever. Groups made of lead singers.
No contest....New Edition for the win!🏆
This is not fair! Do you know why? If Boyz II would have did it first we would say they did it better then New Edition.
New edition . but I still listen to both till this day
New Edition, no doubt !!!
Some songs don't need to be done over.
Much respect ti boys 2 men..for covering their mentors with class and style
This is a tough one they’re both great for different reasons and time periods. I grew up in the 90’s so the B2M version holds significance for me personally but both are classics.
New Edition hands down the owned that song when they sing it
No competition. This was made for New Edition. Wins hands down!
I'll have to say New Edition I mean Johnny Gills harmony in the background was just beautiful. But B2M did a good job.
New Edition of course! 🔥🔥🔥
I have to give Boyz II Men the thumbs up on this one. Hell 2 the big N0 New Edition 0wn this boys 2 men didn't come🤯 close New 🧚🏿♂️Edition🧚🏿♀️.💞💞💞
Love New Edition with Johnny Gill. They were much better with him. However, without a doubt Boyz I l Men. Clearly.
N.E. "This we know for sure"
New Edition all day!!!
I like both of them but New Edition🌻
Come on; New Edition, obviously. The way New Edition handles the start of the song is a work of art in itself.
💯
New Edition! I remember when they first hit the scene when I was in junior high school, so they hold a close place in my heart.
Are y'all CRAZY😂😂😂😂 NEW EDITION all day baybee!!!!💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
New Edition birthed Boyz II Men, it's not even a question!

They both are as good as each other Peace to you
Hands down NE! Period ❤️❤️🔥🔥👏👏
I lean towards the Boyz to Men version though I love both. How about Bobby Womack vs KCI " If You Think You're Lonely Now" who did it better?
The original is always better. B2M killed it tho.
The original definitely New Edition
NEW EDITION!!!
New Edition WITH
Johnny Gill....
WHEW CHILE!!! 🔥 🔥 🔥
BoyzIIMen is BUTTA!!! ✊
Oh New Edition!!! Most definitely 👏🏾👏🏾Boys to Men did good but NE did it better baby
