People really don’t understand how elite Ransom is as a lyricist…hands down my fav MC
Fact
This new album proves this even more
@@sostdm617 ✔️
Facts
Big facts…. Since the A-team days
Ransom in my opinion is arguably one of the best to ever do it full stop. Terribly underrated with an incredible catalogue. So glad he’s caught this second wind and is making music consistently again. It’s crazy that without Spesh and Griselda, he probably would have walked altogether, but they showed him there’s a lane with his style where he can be successful and make bank. Consistency is key man, keep dropping and don’t take your foot off the gas until everybody has no choice but to pay attention 🙌🏾
The East Coast is rising again with Trust and Griselda that's why ransom joined Trust, new era
@@mesus3701 idk now that puff got his arm around Con, & got him wearing skirts & ish.. strange look, for street rapper..
Major facts
@@CSpad Alexander Mcqueen Scarf that looks like a skirt. which he wore to perform at Rolling Loud concert. But from the picture he took, it looked like a skirt, which waa an epic failure because why would you even tie such a material on your waist in the first place? Smh.
Yea Ransom realistically probably the best lyrically ever.
Ransom tho!!! Math is really on another level right now. It’s bigger than battle rap. Give him his flowers now. 🐐 💯
Ransom is incredible his pen is elite
I wish more niggas really understood this.
Facts
Most slept on emcee to do it in my opinion. A lot of people say that’s AZ, but he gets a lot more flowers in and outside of the industry.

Jersey never established our own sound but that pain in them lyrics is a staple from Joe and Ransom all the way to Albee Al and Surf. Niggas don’t have that gloss and glamour of NY style but that grit is the signature
Well said
Pain y'all style surf spit that pain shit to
I don't think that's true foreal I think we're just so close to NY that it all get bunched together and their the bigger brand because when We had Redman Naughty by Nature Lauryn Etc they didn't sound like NY well to an extent because the sounds going to mix because we're so close but they influenced alot of NY Artists also and they took the style and expanded on it t they got credit for it so people look at It as a NY sound but really Jersey helped innovate that 90s Sound think about It Redman & Naughty was poppin before Nas Big Jay all of them they was getting Poppin around the time Wu Tang was just starting to blow
Facts
Never looked at from that angle. But thats accurate
I been a Ran fan since the A-Team Hitchcock DJ Clue days n early 2000s. Pain and Glory is a Classic. If Ran ain't in ur LYRICAL Top 5, u can't have the conversation 4real
1000 on that!!!
And this is why Ran is a legend. 20 years plus in the game
I hear you what you saying. He's definitely in my top 5. But I'm out here on the west coast, la and nuccas never heard of him and don't wanna listen to that.
I been a fan since A team, duffle bag ran. Pain and glory, ransom note, all of it.

Facts
Ransoms Directors Cut series is where he found his niche…I play all three back to back periodically, I havent done that to ONE album in a LONG time.
Salute to Hoffa for giving him the platform.
Same here. All three together is like one classic album. Straight 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yea that’s ransoms best work hands down no question .
Yeah they are fire. Deleted scenes and crime scene are fire too and also heavy is the head
Facts
Man this Ransom dude seems so genuine, I love his energy, nothing fake about him
U don’t know him lol
@@QstormtheGod Ofc not, I know nothing about him. He could be a murderer for all I know, I just like his energy/vibe.
He's always seems to be consistent when we do hear him on interviews. He's been slept on for a minute. Glad he's getting more looks from every1 now.
That's prob the best part of the whole Royce/Lupe drama.
Cats like Ran, Payne, Mickey getting much deserved shine.
Niggas forgetting that paul cain DESTROYED every beat he got on best verse when he spit with ransom hitch budden and even fab

I am day one Ransom fan since the A team days. He’s in my top 5. No one spits pain, like Ransom. That’s his specialty along with metaphors, wordplay, flows, and punchlines. This is with over 20 years of rapping. That’s impressive. This interview is by far the best Ransom interview I ever seen because he genuinely seem comfortable. Math Hoffa definitely did a great job meticulously analyzing and breaking down his questions. One thing I will say I would want to see Fabolous and Ransom get on a track together again. I know they fell out through the Joe Budden beef. But if Ransom cool with Joe Budden again and has always been cool with Paul Cain(fab brother), I don’t get why Fab and Ransom haven’t.
Fab knows Ransom is elite level with the pen and he don’t want to be bodied on either his or Ran shit. He knows low key bro
ransom is probably my favorite rapper right now and definitely at the top of the game right now. everything is clicking for him.
@@emmsonbrown2249 Heavy facts. Rans pen is elite, and a lot of these highly revered artists stay away from working with him because they don’t want to get washed. It’s been that way for a long time.
@@emmsonbrown2249 the fact that you say he scared is funny as fuck when that got old shit together. They both nice RS
Fab has done tracks with Ran.. Be it they older tracks but they've definitely worked together

Remember when Ransom said:
If y'all can't keep it composed, you gon' reap what you sow

RANSOM said some deep deep shit.."you learn about others in school, but in jail your learning about self" and after been a Ransom Fan through the pain and the glory
I remember bumping their music & freestyles back then! Especially with the Far Rockaway legend🙏🏽 R.I.P Stack Bundles🕯🕊
Not gona lie, Ransom solidified his slot in my top mcs

Ransom impersonating Lupe and saying “What are you talking about Streets” in his white stereotypical comedy voice 🤣

Paul & Ran called it. Shaking the building off of freestyles.
Math on his Joe Rogan... Lol keep these joints coming

At about the 1 hr and 9 minutes mark
What Cain said about being 40 and not knowing what to do and hearing Ransom talk how we never thought about or even prepared to be 40 is a reality and even a trauma many do not or can even comprehend ( including myself) even know what to think of it. It made me cry because I’m 42 and having a successful 25 year old and a 21 year old marine and divorced, and alone now. I just realized that I’m in that same state of mind at this moment in my life. I thank you brothers for true and honest with these life situations, I just took my piece from this and will do better to be more successful.
God bless us all 🙏🏽
Love healing and success to y’all 🙏🏽
This episode could possibly be in my top 3 episodes so far. 10/10
Being from the south, Ransom was one of the first East Coast emcees that I was bumpin' heavy. I got his whole discography.
JERSEY TILL THE DEATH OF ME 🤫😈
he said "your darkest hour's only 60 minutes" dat was 🔥
This interview really shows Ransom's depth of character. Never really seen this side before. good stuff.
Intelligent brother
Math definitely gives good indepth interviews and also speaks from experience..... also noticing how well he's respected by main stream artist as well as underground artist .... not many battle rappers get that kind of love ....
Important point. Good comment.
Rap is two major components:
1. WHAT you say
2. HOW you say it.
"Lyrical miracle" rap is a heavy focus on the "how you say it" part with not enough "what you say"
And there's the flip to that. Some rappers be saying some real shit whit little to no care for presentation and it sounds wack.
@@TheMicael100 I agree 100%
Good point.
This was 1 of the best . Ransom when he told Math Lupe was lying to him was funny af
I feel like I’ve watched Ransom throughout my childhood that I can really tell when he’s giving a diplomatic response to a controversial question but his eyes are telling a whole different story! Lol 😂
I know a man who’s really worked on himself. There’s a beast behind that cool & calm aura
Gotta give math his flowers, gems throughout each segment 🔥🔥🔥🔥 interview.
Yo Ransom is hilarious without trying 😂
Ran is mad funny lol

Pretty damn good episode. First full episode I’ve watched. Glad to see Ransom and especially Paul Cain on here.
Great episode. Never seen Ran in a setting like this. Dude is entertaining. Great work Math!
I personally avoid most hip hop podcast for gossiping reason.
But this podcast here have a art of dialect and dissecting the whole art of hip hop on a common listener level and deeper understanding.
Absolutely top tier format THIS IS ART
Thanks Math for being one of the pioneers of the culture! Look @you now! Your RUclips is blowing up crazy! You legends brought the 💰 to the culture and pushed real lyricist to show the art as well as get paid👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

I'm so mad I just discovered "My Expert Opinion" I'm loving this. Been a Cain and Ran fan forever.

Paul Cain a character lol. Never knew his persona was like that OG in the P’s that sip, chill, drop jewels, crack jokes, and get gully

Jersey 👑💯💯. This joint went smooth , nobody talking over each other just great dialogue! Salute to all the peoples 🔥
Crazy I listened to Reservoir Dogs earlier today..And Math drops this
We on the same frequency! Please share the vid!.
RIP Stack Bundles 🕊
I enjoyed this episode to the fullest. Especially the part about lyricism. The "lyrical miracle" thing was very intriguing. I do believe hip hop is all about balance. As listeners some of us want the rapper who skillset is nice verbally and can include emotions and pain, yet love the rapper who can just be nice with the mechanics of wordplay. Ransom deserves all.of the accolades. He one of the greatest. If I said he's in a Nas and Hov caliber people would look at me crazy lol but truth is truth if you listen. Paul Cain always been nice
You all are treasures my Brothas. Love the knowledge. Math you genius!!!
