Honestly, this game is the sole reason I actually got interested in Marvel. I only played this game because I thought that it looked kinda fun to swing around and the graphics were cool. In the sequel they need to do to improve on certain flaws. The boss battles need to feel more dynamic and less repetitive. Villains that can’t fit into the main storyline should be used in side missions like the Arkham games which will give the open world more depth. Spiderman was simply spectacular but not as good as it can be. Everything is in place. Combat, Graphics, Story, Sound etc is all there and the sequel can easily push this series to its full potential.

I finally 100%ed Marvel’s Spider-Man, and all I can say is that this is probably the best game I have ever played. Spider-Man isn’t just a character, he’s a symbol of how to be a better person. Like one of the many inspirational quotes that is said in the game, “You help somebody, you help everybody”, meaning that every small thing you do for someone amounts to something so much more. And I know this may sound childish, but I idolize and hope to be someone like Spider-Man one day. I would give anything in the world to become someone who does so much good even though it’s from the small things. Thank you, Stan Lee, for creating one of the best superheroes to ever exist. This is unironically the single best superhero theme I've heard in recent years. Up there with the John Williams scores in my book. Due solely to the fact that theres a central motif to instantly latch onto. Only a couple of composers that I've heard truly grasp the importance of this. The iconic and recognizable staple that says "You dont need to listen for long to know. This theme song can only belong to spiderman." Almost like the character silhouette from character design that they teach you about. Because the theme song is part of and essential to the character design. All of the other hero themes I've heard are so busy and awkward but this... is perfection. I wish that the movies could bring that same energy with their soundtracks.
What makes this game great is that the person swinging through New York, defeating powerful super-villains, and saving the city isn't just Peter. It's also You. You're the hero. You get a chance to experience Peter's life and step into his shoes. You see what it's like to be Spider-Man.
You are right, we can all make a difference, we can make a hero of ourselves, this game really transposes spectacularly what someone like Peter parker is, someone like you or me, not someone perfect but always trying to be someone better every day, someone who has suffered many times with power and responsibility but always gets up, always persists, there is always a better and new day ahead. We waited 2 years for this game. 2 whole years. It's been about 9 months since the game came out and everytime I hear this theme, it brings a tear to my eye. I remember the day it released, I woke up at 5 am just to play the first 3 hours of the game. I finished the main story and dlc twice in the normal game and twice in NG+. I finished it once more on the ultimate difficulty. Absolutely the best Spider-Man game yet. And as a game in general, it's right up there with the greats: Uncharted 4, Bloodborne, God Of War, and many more. Thank you Insomniac Thank you.
This should be the game of the year, the soundtrack, the story, the gameplay, the easter eggs, and etc.. It's a huge improvement than the previous spiderman games. They nailed every detail into a perfect spiderman game.
I think God of War beats it, even though both games are definitely 10/10. This soundtrack is amazing, and it's not very common in games but God of War has the best soundtrack ever. RDR2 is also really good but the online and the DLC kind of ruined it
Spiderman takes aspects from other games and perfects them. It’s an incredible game that perfects every aspect of what a Spiderman game should be (few boss battle were disappointing) but it does nothing that we have never seen before. God Of War is a whole new level of greatness and the Last Of us is beyond incredible. Spiderman 2 needs to innovate making every boss battle feel unique and different. Take a page from Arkham City with the mr freeze boss battle where you can’t use the same tactic twice. They should use that for every villain to make the battle during gameplay feel more dynamic and to keep you focused.

Honestly, this game is the sole reason I actually got interested in Marvel. I only played this game because I thought that it looked kinda fun to swing around and the graphics were cool. I wasn’t expecting it to be such a fucking masterpiece. This game made me interested in Spider-Man, then Marvel as a whole. Amazing.

In the sequel they need to do to improve on certain flaws. The boss battles need to feel more dynamic and less repetitive. Villains that can’t fit into the main storyline should be used in side missions like the Arkham games which will give the open world more depth. Spiderman was simply spectacular but not as good as it can be. Everything is in place. Combat, Graphics, Story, Sound etc is all there and the sequel can easily push this series to its full potential.

I finally 100%ed Marvel’s Spider-Man, and all I can say is that this is probably the best game I have ever played. Spider-Man isn’t just a character, he’s a symbol of how to be a better person. Like one of the many inspirational quotes that is said in the game, “You help somebody, you help everybody”, meaning that every small thing you do for someone amounts to something so much more. And I know this may sound childish, but I idolize and hope to be someone like Spider-Man one day. I would give anything in the world to become someone who does so much good even though it’s from the small things. Thank you, Stan Lee, for creating one of the best superheroes to ever exist. This is unironically the single best superhero theme I've heard in recent years. Up there with the John Williams scores in my book. Due solely to the fact that theres a central motif to instantly latch onto. Only a couple of composers that I've heard truly grasp the importance of this. The iconic and recognizable staple that says "You dont need to listen for long to know. This theme song can only belong to spiderman." Almost like the character silhouette from character design that they teach you about. Because the theme song is part of and essential to the character design. All of the other hero themes I've heard are so busy and awkward but this... is perfection. I wish that the movies could bring that same energy with their soundtracks.

Much like Peter Parker himself, it starts quiet and unassuming, but then builds to reveal the spectacular sound of horns that heralds his metamorphosis from a nerdy kid from Queens, to the wall-crawling, web-slinging hero!

We waited 2 years for this game. 2 whole years.
It's been about 9 months since the game came out and everytime I hear this theme, it brings a tear to my eye.
I remember the day it released, I woke up at 5 am just to play the first 3 hours of the game. I finished the main story and dlc twice in the normal game and twice in NG+. I finished it once more on the ultimate difficulty.
Absolutely the best Spider-Man game yet. And as a game in general, it's right up there with the greats: Uncharted 4, Bloodborne, God Of War, and many more.

I think uncharted 2 was better than 4. Graphic and gameplay wise 4 was smoother but something about 2 is so nostalgic.
This should be the game of the year, the soundtrack, the story, the gameplay, the easter eggs, and etc.. It's a huge improvement than the previous spiderman games. They nailed every detail into a perfect spiderman game.
I think God of War beats it, even though both games are definitely 10/10. This soundtrack is amazing, and it's not very common in games but God of War has the best soundtrack ever.

Spiderman takes aspects from other games and perfects them. It’s an incredible game that perfects every aspect of what a Spiderman game should be (few boss battle were disappointing) but it does nothing that we have never seen before. God Of War is a whole new level of greatness and the Last Of us is beyond incredible.
Spiderman 2 needs to innovate making every boss battle feel unique and different. Take a page from Arkham City with the mr freeze boss battle where you can’t use the same tactic twice. They should use that for every villain to make the battle during gameplay feel more dynamic and to keep you focused.

I'll be honest and say Tom's theme doesn't hit as hard for me, but boy do they all have amazing theme's.
Tobey’s is a classic, heroic superhero theme that gives off strong nostalgic vibes. It’s the theme you think of when you think of Spider-Man. It starts off with a quiet whisper, before suddenly being interrupted and quickly turning into a racing melody that seems to build up to triumphant highs in seconds flat. It perfectly encapsulates the speed at which Peter’s life changes. From a nerdy nobody high-schooler to New York’s sworn protector, all in a matter of a couple days. “This is my gift, my curse. Who am I? I’m Spider-Man.”
Andrew’s (Hans Zimmer’s) is a triumphant, energetic and sporadic theme, riddled with synths, trumpets and an instantly recognizable motif that remains present throughout the movie. It gives a sense of the responsibility this Spider-Man carries. This is his job, his duty, he’s the city’s protector. Without him, bad becomes worse. As such, he wakes up every day to protect his city, and that’s where the movie and this theme begins. “What’ve you got for me today, New York? Alright, let’s get to work!”
Tom’s theme is that of a Spider-Man learning the ropes. The youngest of all other Spider-Men and the youngest actor of all the previous Spiders-man, his theme reflects his inexperience, his youth AND his excitement with a quick, soft melody. As the movie, and the trilogy, progresses, the theme becomes more triumphant as the junior Spider-Man goes from a young superhero, happy to have even been involved with the Avengers, to a young adult learning the responsibility he carries and the nature of his powers and how they’re a tool to help him help others. “When you can do the things I can, but you don’t… and then the bad things happen, they happen because of you.”
