Hello, just wanted you to know that this recipe really worked for me.. I have been trying for quite some time but never got the perfect soft appams like how I got now.. Thank You. Also, I replaced cooked rice with half cup of Aval / poha.. they came out just perfect. So Thank You very much :-)

First of all romba santhosham for watching my channel. Normal pipe water thaan use panniyirukke. Appuram pulukaruthukaaka neenga warm aana placil vekkanam. For example kitchen counter top next to stove ,illena shelf keele anta maathiri vekkanam .. naan vanthu, inga romba cold aanuthelle , ovenukulle thaan vekkare, light mattum pottitu vecha pothum. Clear aayirikkum nnu ninakare.
im from Chennai, v add idli rice raw rice both equal quantity n 1tspn urad dhal n few methi seeds , a handful of cooked rice n grind for aapam, no coconut used while grinding, but v add a pinch of idli soda while preparing aapams.
@@vrindaanish236methi seeds are added for softness, v add more 3-4 times more for the same quantity of rice for dosa. moreover in Chennai aapam v call, it's not a regular dish, 90% of the people will have it with coconut milk n sugar cardamom only, but v have it once or twice in a year bcoz of the richness in sugar n coconut milk, for a change, it's not like regular idli, dosa, Pongal, upma. thanks for the response 😊😊

If you are someone who likes coconut flavour, I would suggest you to try the kerala version, it has a different flavour from the usual aapam we have in TN... U will love it...

Hi.. in kerala we add coconut or coconut milk.. we will not add methi seeds.. appam without coconut flavour tastes like dosa in my opinion
