- Got this today. I don’t believe any dealers have them yet, I saw it on Quest site and ordered it direct (took awhile, had to message and order via Paypal arrangement). They added a magnet to holder and a sensor in pinpointer that puts it in standby when holstered. Just eliminates the button push twice, every time ya use it. Figured what the heck, I’ll try it out n see.
That is a pretty cool feature. Wish all pin pointers would auto turn on when pulled out of holster and turn off when put back.
That’s going to be the future.

Magic Holster technology is not new. Its from Sphinx 02 magnetic pinpointer. Patent infringement.
That's a magnet for cows, to catch nails in their stomach. Do you have cows?

No moo cows. I posted the pinpointer on ebay. Decided i don’t need another one. This stir crazy gives me way too much time to conjure up ideas and overthink gear situations, lol.
@@UABFWSS It'll be interesting to learn what metal detector you purchase after you're all healed up and had time to thing about what fits your unique detecting environment!

@@pigeonbloodruby5330 Oh lol, it usually takes me a couple tries to decide. I ended up snagging another Manticore. Decided it’s undeniable, that it can help sort out and sniff out that very small percentage of difficult, looked over or masked coins. Still have the magnetic sand variable to sort out up around the big lake.

I have this idea after reading about how minerals from a film on the surface after a rain. Making it difficult to detect through. Scrape the top surface with a board. I was thinking if this works for black sand, attach a plastic PVC or wood trim to the scoop. The surface might hold more minerals and black sand than the eye can see. You're on a freshwater beach, so I don't know if it'll work. They use this technique in Australia. Another idea is to use a driveway magnet, used to pick up nails after roofing a house.

Oh, i ended up selling it shortly after getting it. It seemed sturdy, but i just went back to my garrett carrot
So i have this it has dead spots on the holster so you end up messaging about turning the pin pointer
It also went crazy beeping with no metal its faulty other people have had same issues im getting rid of mine
Hmm, I sold mine soon after getting it, just too used to carrots to switch.
@@UABFWSS I'm currently using the mi6 but now and then for some reason it slips into menu mode then trying to turn it off I don't think you can beat a carrot tbh. Simple is better when it comes to pinpointets

5m waterproof. Quest. They’ll be available at US dealers eventually. You could message Quest to inquire about ordering one, but it’ll take awhile to get. They put me in contact with a representative, in china, they sent me a paypal bill, i paid, they shipped via DHL.

I foresee that magnetic feature being a issue. What about that new DrOtek pointer or the new Nokta pointer coming out? See them yet?
Oh, i sold the x-pointer, just had to try it out. I always revert back to my Garrett AT’s it seems. They just work.

J'ai vendu le pinpointer, je ne suis pas sûr qu'ils fonctionnent bien ensemble. Aucun problème avec d'autres localisateurs avec manticore.

Does it still have a dead zone in the middle?
It responds to targets at the tip/end and not along the sides
It's very good that it doesn't ring on the side, it avoids false positives and therefore improves the precision and the speed of discovery, we know that the object is straight ahead and not lost around the pointer. With classic pointers, we don't know if the object is to the right, to the left, down, diagonally… when the pointer is tilted and with an angle of less than 30°.
