God we will be lost without proper professionals and servants of this nation like yourself. I can only hope that future generations of this nation grill legislations, bills and such with such diligence and care.

Dear michael it was always a pleasure to meet you in the high court your mind is sharper then ever . I was a Garda
retired 22 years ago and studied philosophy etc, These so called officials are big egos running rampant with power. They don’t know that above all the legal powers there is a divine law called universal Law or natural law, break that Law and the law will break you. The Law of opposites duality, cause and effect the law of correspondence etc there are as you know 7 prime laws. They are immutible and the pendulum is always in swing.

la.utexas.edu/users/hcleaver/330T/350kPEEMarcuseToleranceTable.pdf……I served in the UN in the 90 ies and befriended a Russian diplomat who educated me in the war between East and West and it’s entralnweapon to destroy the west ..which it seems they have. See attachments regarding Repressive Tolerance a mind virus. The essays of Herbert Marcuse and his book” one dimensional man. These ideas were taken and infiltrated into universities and teacher colleges in the 60 ies. And reinforced by the globalists ie,. Klaus Schwabb in his doctrine of the New world Order …Orwell saw it all ….I met L. Verbadcur some years ago and being an empath saw him full blown in his arrogance and contempt for the citizens of Ireland He was in class in the Schwabb school in the 80 ies with the other 25 prime ministers where they were all on the same page for the last 10 years…hopefully Ireland will come fully awake . They just re-elected U. Van de lying as president she is another narcissist Ego

Great input as usual from Sen M Mcdowell. He , unlike others, does the job and reads the legislations, bills, proposals acts, provisions. He reads same in context of our constitution. He "joins the dots", and then RAISES the questions for debate.
For what are we paying all other TDs, Senators, Ministers et al to do?
I won't go into the details and contradictions pointed out by Sen McDowell re this planning procedure...local authority vs centralised scopes.
Btw, see in the clip here...the bloody house is practically empty!! What are they all doing?
Clearly they don't want to be there, so don't put them in that position by vote them ever again.

"across rural ireland depopulation is gathering apace", wot's going on in agriculture? Far too many farmers now farm (in effect?) by the monitors? in their too grand houses. This satellite watching of fields is deadening; and so some small homesteads, also watched. The PSA is hiding out in Tipp., when it should be brought right to the forefront for real access, maybe in Dublin, or Kildare.

One of the good people in this country. Global stakeholder capitalism has seeped into all (not just Ireland) international politics with respect to planning. We now know who is pushing such policies and we can see ministers as middlemen delivering trojan horse planning policies to their masters via the OPR. We are ruled from those living in Switzerland who via WEF are dictating an international grab all policy while they live comfortable in their cantons - let's not forgert that each Swiss canton determines itself the division of responsibilities between it and the communes. The responsibilities of the communes include local planning, running the schools, social welfare and the fire service. Larger communes and cities have their own parliaments, and organise their own referendums.
On a lighter note there must have been no bat detectors around the current Childrens Hospital location, the greatest monument to excess and waste the world has ever seen.

As of today, 21 October 2024, the offending provision cited by McDowell remains in the Bill, as passed by both houses at Section 547 paragraph 3a.
More FFGG overreach. Vote them out.

I will disagree with Senator McDowell on one thing: this bill is not "a step back to a centralised government". Ireland is already recognised as having the most centralised government in Europe! This bill is about removing the remaining vestiges of local government power.

More TroubleMaking from McDowall, to keep his comrades happy and get lots of positive admiring comments from the army of Russian paid Trolls, in this country. Would he just come clean with his family.

As always, a thoughtful and positive contribution. I wonder however, if his concern is justified.
It has to be possible to circumscribe local autonomy with the obligation to uphold national planning policy. We can't have a 26-patch quilt, especially on infrastructure which serves multiple local authorities, or spans coast-to coast.
We've had too many instances of local authorities assuming exceptions for themselves, and " having regard to " meant merely " doffing your cap to. "
What prevents any Local Authority from discussing their proposed autonomous decision with the Planning Regulator, before embarking upon it ? Nothing; and a power to act isn't an obligation to act.

    • @frankymacf
      @frankymacf 27 дней назад

Power to act is not an obligation to act? That's little comfort in the face of the emerging petty tyranny that is Ireland since 2020...
