everything have ever asked for in a review! dont know how many times have asked companies to do advanced testing. in a perfect world this channel featured other genres like car audio and hifi. someone is hiding something if not reviewing like this.
How would you compare the ST12SMA to the NX12? I know the NX is a coaxial and all...just curious if you've done side by side comparisons? or, live as wedges, what differences they have? Thanks! Mark
Mark, the ST12SMA are good and good for the price point and output, but the NX12SMA being coaxial is a smaller footprint and more power. Also the reason why we own so many of the NX12s (like 14 of them) is that the coaxial design IMO is much more forgiving on ring out and feed back rejection than a separate HF/LF driver 2 way configured speaker. There is a bit of a gap in price between them as well, but construction and build quality is great on either one. The 12's will do most all stage work, but we like to use the 15's for kick, bass and keys.
I like how John truly tries to educate his viewers by giving information that is helpful for anyone using sound equipment.
