BMW Vision Neue Klasse X infotainment

The interior of the Vision Neue Klasse X harmoniously blends new and old into one tech-heavy experience. There is no black plastic or brightwork to detract from the warm comfort of the highly textural materials in soothing red, gray and white colors. Much of the interior is fashioned from recycled or plant-based material. The center screen is trapezoid-shaped and touch sensitive. The “HypersonX” steering wheel has multifunction buttons and BMW’s Intelligent Personal Assistant works with voice control. BMW’s Panoramic Vision tech projects information across the full width of the bottom few inches of the windshield. Strong holographic effects provide depth and dimensionality to the display.

Futurism is cool, but people really want simplicity in the IU, I’d rather see demos of maps, self driving and other things rather than ambience and moods.

It would be great to have these features at home, at your computer desk, or even in your living room. But in a car it is just as stupid and useless as, for example, in a public toilet or a shopping center elevator. Where is the BMW, where is the character, drive and aggression?
