You should try playing The Doors songs with no pick, it really helps give it a warm tone closer to the sound of the song and that's how Robby Krieger plays a lot of The Doors songs because he started out playing flamenco on a classical acoustic.
im sure i read robbie used finger style when playing ,sounds great with pick though i just done it on medium , love learing to play it.i feel like putting rocksmith on now, but its middle of the night the neighbours wouldn't like it.
