Plus braided buns are just not practical physically as they are top heavy and mess up your balance. (i was the only black girl on the team at the time) my mom said “if you want my child to have 4 different quick changes all with different hairstyles….she needs to have them” teacher never approved or got over it…but i kept winning so she couldn’t get rid of me:))))
