Great reaction. The Kami Band for that show were Leda Cygnus (blue guitar), Takayoshi Ohmura (gold guitar), BOH (6 string bass) and Hideki Aoyama (drums). The instrumental intro is called 'Mischiefs of the Metal Gods' and, as it is a Kami Band instrumental, you will only hear that in live performances.
'Rondo of Nightmare' is maybe the darkest of their songs lyrically. Su is caught in a recurring nightmare being chased through the darkness by ... something. Eventually she hides in a fountain (or maybe in a well), but whatever is chasing her is still coming closer and, accepting there is no escape, she asks that if she is to die won't whatever it is at least show her its form.
This was at the Budokan, a martial arts centre built for the 1964 Olympics and now also a hugely prestigious venue for concerts - you don't just get to play there by chance, it is the place people aspire to play. BABYMETAL are the youngest average age female band to headline there - Su was 16, Yui and Moa were 14. They sold it out two nights running.

Finally you got a Babymetal song that got you! 10 of 10.
Another great speed/power metal ballad is "Amore". You will be blown away once again!

Su was only 16 here and she performed this!! Her stage presence is phenomenal. One of the best frontwoman in rock/metal that we have today.

Four musicians. Virtuosos. Solos which leave you spellbound. Absolutely nothing could top this moment. And then Su starts singing. Perfection.

11:08 this is a big part of what makes Babymetal so great. When you strip away all the layers of amazing talented people involved at the centre is Su-metal/Suzuka, a singer who puts her all into her performances and everything else is build around her.

Nice video! The intro was named the "Mischief of Gods". It is believed that its a ritual needed to perform to summon Su from the depths of hell and only those with the skill of the Kami Band can perform it. The Kami Band members who played here were Leda Cygnus (blue guitar), Takayoshi Ohmura (gold guitar), Daisuke Bohte aka BOH (6 string bass), and Hideki Aoyama (drums). There are other versions of the intro wherein Mikio Fujioka plays the guitar and Yuya Maeta was on the drums. All versions are amazing! They never fail to impress!
This is one of Su's solo and probably their darkest song. Its about being trapped in an unescapable nightmare being haunted by an unseen creature with no means of escape. In the part where the instrumentals stop and Su sings in a certain technique (dunno the specific term), she pleads the creature to at least show its figure to her right before it kills her. It is also believed that Yui and Moa were doing their homeworks backstage. They're still young here after all. Su was 16, and Yui and Moa were 14. Education is important!
Since that you really loved the bass solo, I think you would like to watch another song with an another bass solo with the same tapping technique. Please react to BABYMETAL - Amore. Just like RoN, this is also Su's solo. This song showcases the skills of the Kami Band in the song itself (unlike this RoN video where they perform in the intro). Here, they are a part of the official audio because the official RoN video don't have the intro, it only contains Su's parts. You'll love the insane drum work, the quick bass solo, and the dual guitar solo. You'll definitely love this! Looking forward for this!
Catch you at the foxhole! Kitsunes up!

Always fun to see your reactions, dude. You've been making some rather interesting picks in the BabyMetal catalogue, but I assure you there are so many great things left to listen to, it's crazy. I'm sure you've figured out by now that their music is rather diverse, but here is actually where I think you have been missing out the most. Most of the songs you've heard are somewhat middle of the road, I'd say. With the exception of "BxMxC" (which the farthest they have gone into hip hop and rap) and "Gimme Chocolate" (which is perhaps the silliest and most gimmicky of their songs), you still have a lot of the more extreme and odd stuff to listen to. Below is a list of recommendations (I picked one song from each album), and a short explanation of what to expect. I can't think of any other metal band that could produce three songs that are so completely different:
"Onedari Daisakusen". This is what happens when Su takes a break and let Yui and Moa do their own thing. The two of them are usually referred to as Black Babymetal, and they have four songs together. There will never be any more, since Yui is no longer with the group. This particular song is about two girls conspiring to beg money off of dad. Absolute cuteness overload.
"Tales of the Destinies". Full on prog metal tribute to Dream Theater. Took over two years to write and only ever performed live once. Not really for the casual metal fan, so make sure you're sitting down and be ready to be challenged.
"In the Name of". If you've ever felt that doom metal is too cheerful and poppy, then maybe give this song a try. There are lyrics, but they sure can be hard to make out. Is it perhaps the Fox God singing about Su? What do you think?
