I did Farmer's Markets for over 15 years - 668 trips on Saturday to St Pete and easily 400+ markets on Sundays during those years. Best thing I ever did was quit the markets. My customers love that they can come to the farm to pick up during specific hours twice a week (Wed and Sun) and don't have to hunt parking. We set up a market on the front porch of our creamery. The public is not allowed in the barnyard area due to insurance regs. Over this many years, many customers have become more than customers and really friends. They know my family and I know theirs. We do meet ups but deliveries are out of the question - need to work the farm
Love this!!! You found what works best for you and your customers. And sounds like you had some awesome relationships with them so the transition from market to farm pickup was simple enough. Thanks so much for sharing!
