I have heard this vehicle in person! It is awesome with the exhaust valves are open!! Highly recommend listening to the sounds on high quality headphones, a lot closer to what they sound like in person.
From what I can tell you connected the power cable directly to the battery terminal. Any issues? My installer did the same. Since then if I don't drive the vehicle for a week the battery is drained. A tech noticed the power cable and thinks that could be the cause.
I didn't have any issues. I also wired up my ethonal sensor, and both didn't drain the battery after multiple days of sitting. It's most likely weak battery.
So it looks like you T'd into an existing vaccume line? Hard to tell from the vid but did you buy the Boost tap kit? And if you did buy the Boost tap I think it's ridiculous that you would need to buy a separate part to install this exhaust. Great vid
Yes, I did T into the vacuums pump line, which from factory has a plug that needs to be removed to install the valved exhausted. If you check out my ported and polished supercharger video at timestamp 2:38, I talk about it a little bit.
It’s been a year now. How is the exhaust holding up now? How about the Red Star component? I’m looking to do this exact same setup and looking for any addition input you have. Thx!!
Why did you go with this setup over the AWE Touring? Looking to go stage 2 single pulley, but haven't closed on an exhaust setup yet. I know the sound/vibrations have been reported with more drone and shake when you throw test pipes into the mix.
Brandon Sweeney awe in my opinion was too loud all the time. Ecs gives you control and also there’s very small to no drone. Which is a huge issue with our 3.0t engines.

Brandon Sweeney this guy hacked together a kit and was testing setups. It’s a little different there buying the actual kit that ecs sells. I’ve flashed over 100 files on my car meaning it’s go full throttle/launched 100 times. It’s held up very well except for flex pipes breaking but I’m racking that up too old design plus engine mounts.
Check out my "Exhaust Review" video. I go in-depth about what I loved and hated about this set up. I talk about the vibration specifically, and I also added a video clip for example.

JUAN PINTO this was during testing tune phase. I use to use amax shifting instead of ignition cut. Watch my new s4 videos on my Facebook page and you’ll see the updated tune. I calibrated my car my self, no off the shelf stuff.
I'm a few months late, but the dsg doesn't fart when using launch control, and it seems like these sound clips were of launch control. It doesn't fart because during launch control, both clutches are apparently engaged at the same time to slow the engine down. Instead of retarding the timing which is what usually occurs on dsg shifts, because it's too fast the rpm doesn't have enough time to drop.
This system is garbage I'm on my 3rd set of downpipes they keep breaking at the flex joint lasted about 5,000miles each time. The actuators are completely seized after 12,000 miles valves are permanently stuck. Complex exhaust with cheap valve cutouts from cheap Chinese company.
Best video by far on showing how to install cats . Thank you

Do this exhaust has popping sound when shift gear?
Ka Chai it does not, but I could add crackle pop to make the noise you’re talking about.

how much did the kit cost at the time of purchase? 2-3 months ago the price was 1100-1200 dollars, now 1900
I wish I could recall, but I know it wasn't $1900.

Holding up great with the latest flex pipes from ecs. Four sets broke before they resolved the issue. Other than that no issue!

How bad is the drone with the valves closed?
Very close to zero, that is the biggest positive of this exhaust setup. Now open tons
