I nailed a good exhaust setup with mine. Magnaflow mufflers, magnaflow xpipe in palce of middle resonator, but then two Helmholtz chambers welded off just before the rear muffs, tucked above them behind the rear wheels. Basically no drone, and very similar tone to this. Had to properly calculate the chamber volumes to cancel out the right frequencies though.
I've got a '12, S4, APR stage 2+ with Armytrix downpipes and catback system. The first exhaust I purchased was an AWE, and though it sounded really amazing, it simply wasn't gritty enough for the car. The Armytrix is easily the loudest system I've ever heard on the S4, nothing even comes close. If you didn't see the car, you would think it was a Lamborghini, it screams! I also have APR monoblock big brake kit up front, H&R racing suspension, Eurocode sway bars, Vossen wheels, pulley reduction kit, Injen cold air intake, and some other goodies! It's a garage princess, doesn't see the rain, ever.
That exhaust note and charger whine 🥵 gawd daaamn. While I’ve always liked the subtly of a stock s4- This thing is an absolute beast! (Lol yeah, those pulls at 8-5mpg definitely add up..can exceed 80$ in a couple days of semi ‘spirited’ driving 😅)
I have the resonated with 4" black tips on my S5 currently crackle tuned and it sounds amazing, I'm super happy with my choice! I noticed you were using the key fob to open and close the valves. I have mine setup with the home link which has 3 buttons, garage door, open valve, close valve.

I have the remote exhaust valve controller installed under the hood next to the jump start post and cabin air filter intake which is pretty close to the home link in the front bumper. The ECS installation instructions show installing it in the trunk by the battery which is futher away, curious on that but I did see you looking under the hood in the video. Fyi the yellow wire coming off the controller unit is the signal wire maybe take a look at it? Only other thing I could think of is different types of electronics in the car interrupting the signal some how.
That exhaust is perfect... I would only say I'd like it to have just a couple pops of it was me, like 2-4 after revved. Not like the crazy 20 pops after every rev. But then again, that might get rid of that nice exotic winding-down sound. So sick though.
Awhile ago I was looking at s4s in case my a4 wasn’t going to be saveable (it’s all good) and saw some good looking/sounding ones. This ones on a different level though. Super cool.

Sounds incredible. I have listen to many s4 exhaust on youtube, and i have always felt the ECS one sounded the best IMO. On video i prefer the resonated one, since i find i don't hear as much rasp. In person i'm sure i would still love the non resonated one. I'm sure a rotted old falling apart exhaust on a s4 would still sound better than my EB Mustang, with the best exhaust i could buy for it lol. Never owned an Audi before, but i'm sure as hell thinking of getting rid of my s550 for a B8.5 s4 to tie me over till the new RS3 comes out :-D I love your vids and your s4. It's crazy how much more desirable nardo grey looks on your car, since it wasn't offered in that colour b4. Cheers

Sounds like q50, not bad. But it’s definitely on the loud side. Sounds like a good v6, but personally I think inline six has more unique sound, like B58 and N55.
Engine and transmission. (But making sure they’re both WELL sorted before you do) these are amazing cars even stock. So you could focus on dialing in the looks you want, before major modifications
I got an earlier version and have seen the flex pipes go south real quick. ECS service replaced them instantly and according to them, they've worked out the kinks. Hopefully this helps.
As I said in the video, the vac line leaked but other than that I have no issues so far. Will definitely keep you guys posted if I experience any issues down the road!
I got the gloss black one and its such a bitch to get fully in (at least for me) ended up breaking three tabs and threw a 2 inch drywall screw into it and called it a day hahaha
Yeah agreed it’s a nightmare trying to get it on I broke three tabs but luckily they were on the straight bit so holds on the corners and looks flush. Don’t understand why the clips are stuck on separately it should be like the oem one all one piece.
Dont take your cats out unless you like rasp😂 i also hope you threadlocked the bolts on the clamps, they suck. I got the resonated version and had to dump the x-pipe for the magnaflow resonated xpipe. Double resonators is the only way to kill the rasp. Still dead quiet with valves closed

Yes I programmed it to my garage opener too but sometimes I found that it doesn't work as good

Vacum hose leak was found on my 2014 S-4, perhaps this is a common problem that should be part of our check list

How did you get the soft rev limiter eliminated? Is it by the remapp? I have the same engine in the A6 and wanted to know.
must just be the a6/7, cause my s4 didnt have a soft limiter even before the tune.
The rev limiter was removed by the ECU flash. Stock b8 and b8.5 s4 will have a soft limiter.
