My bad, Bruin means brown in Dutch, but old English used it to mean brown bear

You should make a fakemon about being hiden and copying and i have a fakemon
I think the word bear also means brown in some Germanic language. I remember learning that it was believed that saying the word for bear would "summon" a bear so instead it was called something like "the brown one".
I was gonna say it means bear in English too like the UCLA Bruins or as you probably know being an Oregonian the George Fox Bruins
As soon as I saw Solarion's line I made up my mind instantly. I LOVE griffins.

If I may make a suggestion for legendary Fakemon for your new region;
The Pacific Northwest have many stories about cryptic creatures that are still spoke of to this day.

I personally like them all and the bear definitely has the best grass/fairy starter design of all the fakemons I’ve seen and the phoenix has the best shiny of them but the beaver is still the best overall
The what to type because it's evolution is so so so so op and it looks so cool. I need to give you credit for that making that good. Last one on that water type. That was a really good one

I would pay money if this were to become a romhack
I think each of them should also have their own unique moves. Let me know what you think of these.
Castorgeo: Barreling Crash: A Physical Water-type move that has the user charge towards its target, crashing into them with their stone fists, and grows more powerful the less HP the user has. Also can act as a Ground-Type move on Land.
Solarion: SkyScorch: A Dual Fire/Flying Type Special move, that has the user blast the target with hot scorching flames from their mouth, often leaving a burn. Can be used while flying, and if used whilst flying the attack’s power doubles.
Faebruin: RootClaw: A Physical Grass-Type move, that has the user deliver a heavy swipe with its claws, to the target. If the attack crits it’ll buff the user’s Defence and Special Defence by 1-stage.
Solarion is so cool and it’s shiny is so awesome!

Clicking on this video I thought I would choose the griffin, then you show me the bear and I thought "omg I love bears so yes" but then... You show me the Aquadent line and I was hooked. The norse man in me was beaming with pride and soon as I saw Castorgeo there was no going back. I would not only call this mon my partner, I would call this mon my brother in arms and with axe in hand I would battle by it´s side. 😁

I genuinely love all of these, one minute issue is that the water and grass starters are similar personality wise but that’s literally my only nitpick. These are amazing
The art in this video is absolutely beautiful!! The rendering, the line art, the colors! Ahh!! So cool! Trainer Rex is so talented and I can't help but admire how even the speed art looks so good!!

One thing I like about Brambear & Faebruin is how the regular eyes are pink, which looks nice. But mostly how the shinies have yellow eyes. Something I like about the Griffire line is how it’s eyes remind me of a black hole with the pupil being the center and the Iris is it’s event horizon. But a rune? That’s just genius!

Its really cool that you decided to include the timelaps of the drawings, atleast partially. Usually when people comisdion Fakemon for Videos they only show the artwork. But i think showing the timelaps is showing an extra level of appreciation. (No shade intended. Its perfectly fine to only show the artworks. But its extra cool to see the work behind it) Also i just love watching Fakemon Drawing progress^.^
This trio is basically perfect. I think i like Castorgeo the best but idk if i could restrain myself from picking a cute Griffin baby😅

Adorable starters, I just discovered your channel and am looking forward to seeing the rest of this region! Also you did something that a Pokémon game hasn’t done for a long time and that is make me genuinely debate which starter I would want because each one is amazing and I would love to have them all. I think the grass starter is my favourite but the other two are incredible as well!

I’ll definitely pick Griffire, this is just how I feel when I pick my partners, I just feel like my soul is being reflected saying that Pokemon is just like me, oh it’s such a shame there isn’t a game of these masterpiece’s, and I can’t help but wonder what battles would be like and the stories, I love this type of creativity🔥

For anyone interested, Perthro (Or Perth) Is the Rune's name. Other runes include Dagaz, the cycle of the day, Sowilo, the sun rune, and Isa, the Ice rune. There are so many more, too!

castorgeo's my fav! also you BETTER have mons based on norse gods/creatures planned for this region, a zoroark/ditto-like fakemon would work so well for Loki, and a giant Jörmungandr too? there's so much potential

These look really great! I don't know which one I would pick. My favorite first stage was the grass one, my favorite middle stage was the water one, and my favorite final stage was the fire one!

i feel like the fire starter's head should be a bit bigger to make it seem more childish, but im still picking it and evolving it as quickly as possible
Love all three 1st forms. Fire line is best all over and i think might be the first time i picked a fire starter. And i love the finished grass evo.
One thing... Both the final grass and final water have bark bracers on their front arms. I dont love it on either one of them but its weird for it to be a common element in two but not all three. I think, and obvi it's just my opinion, removing it from both lines would make these great ideas have an even more polished design.

Well, I can honestly say...... I want them all. It doesn't happen often but holy moly, I want every single of them.

But god damn these knock it out of the park. I honestly think these are the best fakemon starters I've personally ever seen, the Solarion line being my favorite, especially the shiny.

Love all of them but I think if I was a Pokémon trainer in novula I’d be spending day and night climbing mountains and plateaus searching for griffire, embergale, and solarian. Especially the shiny. Can’t wait to see more!

The grass starter final evolution is a lightweight. Just pick him up and throw him at your enemies, nobody gonna expect that giant beast to be thrown at mach speed. But gotta give it to the fire starter.

Love the concepts for all three starters, its easy to tell you and your team put a lot of love into the mons. I've no comment on the art style itself since its clearly inspired by pokemon but uses more details and colors than a standard pokemon would to help separate your style from pokemon. A few things I did find disconcerting: the water and grass starter designs seem too similar, both baby forms use the same eyes, have a 3 pronged chest fluff, and have essentially the same proportions with the main differences in shape coming from the different tails and ear styles - switching up proportions and shapes would help destinguish the lines outside of relying on color. the water and grass also share simlar design elements in their evolutions like the bracer motiff, the final evolutions are actually a good example of changing up poses to convey different intent even with two mon who have the same foundational structure.
I'd love to see aquadent trying to balance on its hind legs using its tail rather than the static pose its currently using as a nod to the evolutions to come, and maybe eyes more like tepig or sobble. These would be ways I could imagine addressing my personal perspecitve noted above :) in no way is this a criticism, just my two cents. again loved the work you guys put into the lore behind each evolution line and its clear you have a love for each mon you've created today.
My favorite line was the Fire starter, griffire has such a playful pose and turns into such a regal solarion.

Solid set of starters and not falling into the trap lately of fighting/dark/fairy/ghost secondary typings (One fairy but two different ones, so I'll take it) Favorite is definitely the fire starter but the water starter is fun too and I will always enjoy bear pokemon.

Gryffire and its evolutions are perfect. But in general they are all of them very cool and way better than most of the official starters.
All the starters are so so good! I'm a sucker for griffins though, so I'm going to have to go with the Fire starter, but the grass starter is a close second!

I love the starters but i think eyes for the grass and water starter need a bit more life, they definitely look like pokemon eyes, but not starter pokemon eyes which i feel usually have more distinct expressive eyes! Mainly just the first evolutions the eye’s definitely get better as they evolve! Love this vid 😊

As a fellow PNW it's an automatic subscribe! I'm gonna grass, I think. Solarion is freakin dope though! I'd think it was a legendary if I didn't know better.
I would choose Aquadent because it is a cute little beaver and once’s it evolves it gets the ground typing which makes immune to one of its weaknesses electric and final evolution is so cool the only thing that’s wrong with it is it’s 4 times weakness to grass but other than that it is a really cool custom Pokemon and the other starters were great as well

All the starters are fantastic. I'd have to go w/ the fire starter though. Honestly if a game was created I would hope to find the rest of the starters in the game somewhere.
Somehow, these are better than most starters. Plus, before they evolve, they are the cutest creatures ever created.
This would be a gen where I would have to soft reset, trade and get all 3 starters!! These are amazing!!! IF I HAD to choose only 1.... I'd probably go with the fire but this would be a hard one to choose.

I love the fire type
I thought the plant initial was very cute, but the one that stole my heart the most was the fire initial because I love mythical animals like dragons and griffins, and I would be lying if I said I wouldn't choose it as my initial. I even imagined Ash in the Novula region with a Griffire on his team that with a lot of training and effort would become a powerful Solarion with good performance and potential in battles, so much so that it could even stand out like Ash's other fire starters. like Charizard, Infernape and Incineroar. It could even rival Charizard.

I love them all but 100% pick the Griffin though. Honestly, I don't hate any of them and that's pretty rare.
