excellent footage👍 it brings back memories of them when i was about 7 years old in 1960 when i lived in willesden London going up the high road past Belton road where my grandad had a greengrocers and i think i saw the last one in about 1961then replaced by petrol engines ones they would not be able to cope with today's traffic i was sad to see them go
Hi Douglas. I'm just old enough to remember Trolley Buses in Govan, Glasgow. My mum said they were called 'silent death'? Kind of ironic now that electric' is the 'future'!!
I agree John - I'd never heard that term in my life until I started posting these trolleybus videos around last year. And modern electric cars, bikes, vans etc, are probably even more "silent" than buses!
Interesting views of the now preserved TB78 in a reversed style of the later Glasgow livery, with the orange above the green. I wonder if it was the only vehicle painted as such ?
