Size doesn’t mean everything, but it’s still something people won’t understand. Players Darren Sproles & Tarik Cohen have built solid NFL careers despite being undersized. At 5’5 172 lbs, USF Johnny Ford is one of the smallest players in college football. With that being said, he’s still one of the biggest playmakers, but not many people have watched him play. He’s a big time playmaker who isn’t necessarily the fastest, but he’s very quick & shifty like former college football star De’Anthony Thomas.

Great video! Johnny Ford reminds me a lot of JJ Taylor out of Arizona and now a running back for New England. Excellent speed and great with the open field.

@Tim Coker I didn't play football, lacrosse and soccer, heaviest I've been is 155. I have a lot of trouble gaining any good weight ie. muscle once I'm around 150. Obviously it's not a big deal in soccer, but I try to pack on as much as I can while still being quick.
@@Camaverde Yeah I mean depends on your position, but getting to 170 without a significant portion of it being body fat represents an insanely low body fat and insanely high amount of muscle. I'm sure plenty of 5'5" people weigh that much, but being in the shape that he is in takes a lot of work.
They way he moves his body to avoid big bodies falling on him is incredibly crucial and vital to his career and amazing at the same time. He literally controlled every tackle!!

Many people under estimate the value of walking on a team. If you're halfway athletic you will beat out 95% of the walkons in a tryout. You don't need to get an athletic scholarship out of highschool, you can earn that later
