It’s nice that you take the time to drop your daily video for us fans, even when it’s not necessarily the best circumstances. Take care and I hope they put those fires out.😊😊
Laura you have to put your family and your health first. If the air quality is poor you really should be inside as much as possible. Otherwise please use face protection especially in your ‘condition’.
Good Morning Laura! Your land looks like an oasis in the desert! Keep safe! You are blessed and you inspire us to speak our dreams and then look for the opportunity to make it happen and then do the work. Thank you for sharing! If you dream it then it can be!
You did such a good job with that space! It makes me happy! Such an encouraging experience even for me that got only a tiny little garden. May God bless you and your family with strength and wisdom, May He bless the hands that work that land and bring us joy.
It is SO MUCH FUN to see how that barren land has been turned into a green oasis! The shot of the cut flower garden (all of it, really) is SO satisfying! All that from tiny seeds....so cool.
The garden looks fantastic! I love how excited you get to see it all growing, because I am the same way! I get so excited when I see everything growing from seeds I planted! Take those dahlias x 7 acres and that is how many dahlias I grew up with! My grandfather grew dahlias for a living! He grew all varieties--dinner plate, cactus, pom-poms--but the dinner plate are my favorite. I have pictures of he and myself and the dahlias are bigger than my head! I used to follow him around the flower beds and watch him as he pinched out the little shoots so he could get those big dahlias. He showed them every year and I have boxes and boxes of blue ribbons from the winning dahlias he produced, however sadly none of the tubers are around anymore. (I have looked and looked online) His one famous dahlia was called "Refugee". It was the last tuber sent over from Holland, obtained just before the Nazi occupation., around 1940. It was a beautiful yellow dinner plate dahlia. Another one of my favorites that he developed was called "Kandy Kid"....it looked like one of those red and white round peppermint candies! Keep doing what you are doing because not only am I learning so much that I apply to my own gardening journey but I love watching yours.
You are incredible… hard to believe it was 43 days ago and the growth is amazing… You do a fabulous job and I look forward to your videos every day!! Nothing keeps you down🤗
Such an amazing space you’ve created this year! From dust and weeds to a green space blooming with life and color! Thank you for inspiring me to plant from seed. My children and I planted several containers recently with radishes, kale, daisies ,carrots and cat grass. They’re so excited to check on them daily! 🌱
... PHENOMENAL growth, in such short time!...a feast for my eyes...food for my soul! Blessings abound indeed! 🙏 You are loved and adored! Cindy in Maryland =^..^=
I was raised on a farm where we planted crops in what you call a a "truck patch". My dad was very particular about keeping the weeds out of his garden just like you do. Your garden brings back memories of my dad and it is so fun to see a young person love to garden like he did. You are an inspiration to a whole new generation. Your watermelon and cantaloupe patch are just what I remember as a kid.
🌻Beautiful👏...dont wait for someone to bring you flowers💐...plant ur own garden n decorate your own soul😇...to plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow🙏❤😊
I’m pretty sure that everyone would agree, we love your passion for all the plants. Your excitement over the color, the leaves, the details on the petals. Your passion is contagious. Thank you for taking us on this journey!
I could watch you talk about every single plant in your garden in one video, you are such a relaxing person to watch, you help alleviate my depression 😄💖🌸
I'm so glad you did these videos. I would never have planted anything from seed so "late" in the season, but you've shown how it's the perfect time for new things...and from seed! Affordable! Thank you
Your original video of flower seeds you can plant mid summer inspired me to plant some old zinnia seeds out front and they are just about to bud 💗 i love having something new to baby out there!
It always amuses me to see people plant morning glories on purpose! I loved them as a child, but to most farmers and gardeners here in NC, they are considered a nuisance. No one here plants them, but you will see them covering fences and in gardens everywhere. I still think they are beautiful! I love your videos. I have learned so much and am excited to try the new things I learn! I usually watch your videos at night. They provide a beautiful and peaceful end to the day. Happy gardening!
Such an amazing space full of blooms! It is amazing to see what it looked liked before and now it looks so lush & full. Goes to tell you that with the right planting/gardening knowledge you too can achieve miracles. Even with the fire 🔥 & all you still take the time to talk to us. 🥰 Thanks 🙏 Laura!
Thanks Laura & Aaron! I'm addicted! You've motivated me to get back out there and address my garden. I'm from central OR and moved to MX 4 years ago. I thought it would be so easy here. NOT! Without ever freezing the pests are unbelievably hard to control. You continue to give sound advice and love that you share your family too. Thanks again. See you on the tube.
I absolutely love to hear how excited you are about new blooms. I get the same exact way but Gardening is new to me. Glad to see it still brings you so much joy.
So heavenly! Lovely flowers! I have a soft spot for bachelors buttons! I used some that I got out of my Grandma’s garden in my wedding bouquet and other arrangements 20 years ago. Since then I’ve always used them to reseed in my own garden. Makes heart swell up and my eyes get leaky thinking of my Grandma, she’s more like a Mom to me. 💜 Thank you for sharing so much with us! Hope you’re feeling well after being out in the smoke (I live in Nampa), it’s bad.
You should be very proud of yourself. What an accomplishment!! You are my inspiration!! Love and look forward to watching you every day Laura. You are such a blessing to me in my later years! Thank you !!!!🤗
It’s amazing to me to see the evolution from seed and dirt to this lush landscape! Laura, you have so much knowledge on how these seeds/plants respond and like to be treated to flourish. Thank you so much for sharing it with us and stay safe in that smokey air.
It looks wonderful. What a transformation to that land. I am in zone 9B and always appreciate when you talk about the different plants you use and say the zones. It is good to hear both failures and successes you have.
You have such a gentle kind spirit. You show your plants love and they thrive on it. Your gentle touch is so sweet. And you see the beauty in the smallest things like when you held the zinnia buds and commented on the beautiful structure of the bud....you truly have an artists eye! We love you Laura!
O.h my goodness! I cannot believe what you two have created in one season on an overgrown bare lot! Your neighbours were probably freaking out in the beginning worrying about what their view would be and now everyone bordering your new property has nothing but beauty to behold
It is amazing to see all the lush green and color from the flowers in just a few months. You guys have worked so hard. It has to be so rewarding to see this so soon. Thank you for sharing your successes and what didn’t go well. We learn from failures. Take care and cover from the smoke. 🙂
Can I just say how beautiful that space is, you have so inspired me to try a cut flower garden in my small back yard on a small scale! Well done, how just so very lovely!
I didn't know what happened to my first time ever growing direct sowed amaranth seeds but you taught me! My one little plant is so sweet with a small drooping stem of bloom. Gorgeous color and I will always start them in pots from now on so I can keep them on top, moist, and full of sun. THANKS so much for this tour!
Wow, you should be so proud of yourself, when you consider what that space looked like just a few short weeks ago. Thank you for taking us on this journey with you. I’m so inspired to start planning my large backyard next year.
Your garden is amazing! I am in awe! I keep adding to my garden. It keeps looking a little better every day! However, I am obsessed with gardening since I’ve been watching you! Yesterday, I ordered a ton of plant’s online and then went to the local garden store and filled up the van with plants and bulbs! It makes my heart so happy! Thank you for helping me find gardening again!
Midway progress is most beautiful and satisfying when the unexpected sprout and show signs of blooms. I totally feel your gratification for the garden when you express your joy of what this year’s flower/veggie garden produced! Because of you I planted sunflowers and zinnias for the first time, and the satisfaction and love for cut flowers to share with others, made it more special to me. Thank you for sharing your progress and experience, and spreading love through gardening. 🥰
As a beginner gardener for me I am learning each and every year on all my adventurous plants and how to Maintain them and take care of them watching your videos helps me so much and I do appreciate everything that you and Aaron do So no worries we're in the same situation where we learning together!💞🤗😎
Hi Laura! Most everything looks so good! I appreciate you showing both the good and the fails and explaining why you think something failed. It's so helpful! Congratulations to you and Aaron for everything you've both done on the new property! The transformation is amazing! I'm so glad you are enjoying some of your hard work with the watermelons and flowers and there is so much more to come! Thank you so much for sharing!
Oh what a show they are giving us. Beautiful just looking so healthy & happy. Way to go you two. What an awesome learning way. Now can you just imagine how abundant it will be when you work your soil & get it ready for next year. It is beautiful! Y'all did good, very good. Thank you for sharing. Please take care. Stay safe.
I never knew there was such a thing as dark red sunflowers! I love them. Would love to start seeing more flower arranging videos especially with all the blooms that are out there.
I had good luck with them 2 years ago and not much since. But they were 7 ft tall and 5 ft wide. 100 s of flowers. Yes , hummingbirds, butterflies and bees. One of my faves. Good Luck/ Take Care.
Oh fun coffee with Laura and a great tour!! I love seeing all the green and then the brightness of the flowers up in the one corner and dotted around. I am actually thrilled that you just went with so much planting as it is great to see the successes and the failures as well. Such good lessons on watering and age of seeds as well as types of seed that do better then others. This is so fun to watch and enjoy along with you. So glad you are not out as much in the smoke as that really brings down the air quality. Take care.
Laura you are so darn adorable. Someone like you who has been in the garden since almost birth (lol) getting excited about stuff you are growing is just so exciting to watch. I don't know about everyone else but to me it makes me feel like i can try anything and it doesn't matter if i succeed because i can learn either way. All of your videos are so theraputic to me! I hope one day to be able to do even a bit of what you guys do! I love all that your family has done with gardening, so inspirational. May your hands, you and your family remain and forever be blessed 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
I haven’t watched in a while so I’m catching up. Last watched you were putting in irrigation and enriching the soil. I can’t believe how much this has grown. Thank you so much for sharing all your gardening skills.
Laura it is so beautiful and inspiring to see this brand new space, that was so barren when you began, transformed with so much life, produce and colour! You have such a gift 💛💛💛
"There's a weed! Got it" lol Laura you are a hoot! On a serious note, I think the new acreage looks fantastic!!! You go girl, because you give me inspiration and I'm seriously thinking about growing some cut flowers in my little garden plot.
I am amazed how well all your plants are growing in the extreme heat and wind you get, while on Long Island we had several heat waves and humidity and plants said "I'm done". Trouble starting new seeds for fall. Had major trouble with squirrels eating my small melons and all butternut squash ! You have done great!
🌻“Flowers are the music of the ground. From earth’s lips spoken without a sound.” E.Curran🌻. Thanks for sharing yours talents.
How true! You said that nicely.
😭😭😭😍😍😍
What a transformation of that empty field! It must be so exciting to see that.

Thank you for sharing your story. Perhaps one of the many viewers here will have one of your grandfather's dahlias. One never knows!
Wouldn’t that be amazing!!!❤️
Amy Transue They sound amazing and what a cool story! I wonder if anyone in Europe would still have some?

Y’all have made such an amazing new garden and SO impressive for your first year in this space!! 💕🌺
You must be so proud of yourselves. What an enormous amount of work when you have morning sickness! So beautiful and exciting to see.

Theses updates on the new land are so awesome! It’s such a thrill to see all the growth from teeny seeds just a few months on, love it!!
Beautiful work Laura and Aaron!

Love seeing your garden go from dirt to amazing plants the first year planting.
Thanks for sharing your fails. Gives me encouragement.
I love how quickly you saw that weed and pulled it right out, and continued💗😊 I'm loving it!
This is so amazing! I honestly can't believe you got so much out of land that initially looked almost like desert. To me that's just like magic.

Laura it is so beautiful and inspiring to see this brand new space, that was so barren when you began, transformed with so much life, produce and colour! You have such a gift 💛💛💛
WOW! I can't believe how much production you got on the first season and with starting things late! So beautiful!
Beautiful!! Every year in the garden is a learning experience!! Great job!!
You have so much to be excited about in your new space! I just love watching all of it grow and transform the space!

How satisfying, truly feels like it's our journey ❤
I love how you tell us about your “failures” 🌺🌻
I am amazed how well all your plants are growing in the extreme heat and wind you get, while on Long Island we had several heat waves and humidity and plants said "I'm done". Trouble starting new seeds for fall. Had major trouble with squirrels eating my small melons and all butternut squash ! You have done great!
It's amazing how well the plantings did without ideal circumstances. Wonderful to learn along with you guys. Thanks! 💚🌿
This garden looks like paradise to me!!! The nicotiana really stood out to me, so tall! ❤️
