If I had to describe the quest in one sentence, it'd be: "Fantastic set-pieces and music, but kinda wonky on pacing". For instance, there was absolutely no coverage on how the 3 way alliance between the Grineer Corpus and Tenno, came to be. It felt like the first initial push occured without us and we were just kinda dropped into it later. Almost like walking into a movie theater 30 minutes late. It's also pretty obvious that Kahl and Veso were both just red herrings. Despite all the promotion they had, they were designed to be nothing more than a misdirection so that the real twists of the quest would hit harder. But it's kinda disappointing because despite how little screen time they got, they both atleast had mini character arcs written for them. Which is why it felt so damn odd that both of them were just.. Swept under the rug and never mentioned again after their segments were over. @@sebastianrodriguez8992 it makes the standard orbiter more implausible in how everything in the GIANT SUNKEN ORBITER is fitted identically in the tiny vehicle the size of maybe a jet fighter or two

*me when I first played adult me* Me: oh nice I can finally use a melee now *After the quest* Me: so for some reason I got amnesia or something now bc I CANT USE A DAMN ELECTRO KNIFE
I think the reason we didn't get the sequence of the alliance forming is because even DE didn't know how make that work since they did such a good job beforehand making it very clear that there is no way that alliance could work.
Considering that Protea got an ability that Vauban mains begged DE for years to add to the train, and Chroma got the ability to switch elements on the fly very shortly before Lavos came out, I start to see a pattern here... a very disturbing one...
@@InfiniteGreninja Rev's only problem is that his kits is a bit "disjointed" ? The only ability that really matters is Spin To Win the rest is honestly irrelevant.
Fun fact: I don’t know if it was always like this or it’s just in the new update, but if you don’t get seen by the sentient searches, kahl literally says “kahl sneak good” and then laughs.
The quest was a great experience, I am not gonna lie (even though some things were kinda wonky, like just sitting there while Ballas stabs Lotus, being able to move, which is kinda weird) I'd give this quest an 8/10 or maybe better, but I didn't get Ordis flying as a sentinel around my ship after the quest, so I guess that's a -2/10. (But damn, that camp is definitely my perma-base now, I finally have a campfire I can burn Yareli noggles and posters at)
I gotta say. The expressions on the operator look always really goofy and of. But that works amazingly for the man in the wall. To have a big grin, to move our face in sligthly unnatural ways. It all fits his creepy vibe perfect. Wich makes it all the more bad that the operater does that naturally. It will always baffel me how they dont get the faciel animations rigth.
Hard agree, going from new war to farming veil for caliban stuff, sentients should definitely have been more of threat like the stuff in the Veil Proxima
@@OneKeenBean I feel like the sentients won a bit too easily and I think they invested a bit too much into Narmer and even then gave us too little time with Narmer. If they'd added about 4 extra hours (YES SERIOUSLY...2 for the new war and the fights within it and 2 for extra post war stuff) I think it would've flowed a lot better. Also make teshin's death more impactful.
@@OneKeenBean you mean like they were before? Where they were immune to status effects and gained DR? They were a bunch of hardass MFs, but I understand why they got "nerfed" a bit (taking away the status immunity), cause´ when you´re making a quest where they´re the main foe, which you actually fight (which they weren´t cause´ of the Narmer thing) than you must balance them out. If not you´re locking out "weaker/newer" players which haven´t gotten high raw dmg weapons/mods. Before "the Nerf" farming Veil for e.g. Shedo was a pain in the ass (especially solo) even with a 5 Forma Paracisis, or Umbra fully build for hunting them. Now it´s actually manageable (or even a bit too easy) cause´ now you can slap viral/heat/slash procs on them as on everything and when they gain Resistance you nullify it with the Paracesis or with Umbra and you´re good to go
@Scorpio Warrior To be fair, I feel like the moment the operator dies is the moment that the universe is screwed, Warframes were specifically made to counter sentients, and the only one capable of controlling them that's still alive just died. Plus, they probably just adapted to a point where they took no more damage from main weapons so people had to give up, gameplay wise this wouldn't be shown for balance reasons, such as with Kahl, but more of a lore thing.
The amount of effort just to change the ending to reflect the outfit and even the story is quite telling how deep you love *stokholm syndrome* towards the game is
At least Ballas is dead But we got a bigger problem, a WAAAAAAAY bigger problem, that friggin man in the wall with his speech, JAHUUUUUUUU XATAAAAAA VOOOOOOOOOMEEE (UNEDIBLE SHIT BUT OKE OF THEM IS LOHK)
I had this glitch where when editing my drifter, if I went to a different preset, selected what I wanted to change (clothes wise) and quickly exited out, that body part would dissapear, making me a floating head.
Dad you didn't bring the MIGHTY SEER, it changes everything. When all the stuff in my ship was gone I lost a bit of immersion. Also during the cutscenes I either lost the colours on my cosmetics or had random back squares covering stuff. Still awesome tho and left the rest of the game wanting
the fact that the enemies in the new war are level cap but I was still able to do it with a lvl 1 mech and railjack is honestly kinda depressing. also drifter looks so much better than original child and voice actor is better 11/10
I think DE told us to get our best weapons just so the final Archon fight could feel like that much more of a joke, have us slap ourselves in the face with our own busted meta
And I’ll tell you the same thing I told Veso during my time with the New War. “Veso, if I can make this thing steel path viable, you can kill a couple weak ass robots with it.”
Yeah true lol but it's also based off the personality of each character The kiddo already feels strained when they say "hell", kinda like the first time you say a bad word, and the drifter just stopped caring lol. Hopefully the drifter in general is a lot more loose and they give them more M rated voice lines

Warframe: The New War. A series of events where the Origin System's very existence is at stake purely because Jeff Ballas wants to go to space traveling.
i honestly thought it was one of the worst things in the game. it feels lazy, like ''oh we're gonna inject time stuff we have never touched before this and so no one knows what rules we're using... lets just explain everything in a class for kids, thats explaining a major plot point in a good way, right?''. and sure duviri paradox stuff, but its no suprise alot of players dont get it with less than 5 questions spend on it. and i still dont get how exactly it all works because they dont do a good job explaining it. and thats a big fucking mistake if you're gonna screw around with time plot lines, because it takes alot of setup and clear rules for it to make sense, and that is something DE isnt good at.

I miss Kahl.
I would absolutely love a faction gamemode where you can play as a Grineer. Would be a good Steel Meridian reward.
Playing as different types of grineers, corpus... Infested... Getting different Gear/Abilities for the drifter to make him feel unique. So much wasted potential by the end of the quest.
I mean, DE built it ; they had 3 years to think and being it into any places possible : conclave, steelpath, invasion, own game mod...
@@sirjazz1268 Maybe they do plan on it but they released this first to see how much people would want it cuz it would suck to add it then no one likes it or uses it so get the feedback here and if everyone loves it next major update it can be the focus
The Kahl and vesos segments feel like what WF is without all the infinite scaling enemies and standard damage mods. Instead of a dynasty warriors game, it feels more like a third person halo with abilities. Which if they want to proceed their game into, I'm down with that
Even better if being max-level with a syndicate let you be part of syndicate death squads
Honestly the invasion modes would be better if we could play as a member of the faction we were supporting
petition to make the New War tagline "I miss Kahl"
18:22 i love how your reaction is immediately "hehe pondering his orb"
Take a drink whenever "I miss Khal" is said.
I gotta say….I actually prefer your “off the cuff” sense of humor here. Great upload! Laughing my ass off over “pondering my orb” and your Eddy+Zato password bits.
I lowkey need to know where he got that Zato pic.
I'm both Curious and concern with what Trib gonna do with the Drifter's camp if thats how much stuff he packs into his Orbiter.
Uhhh
Yeah
The drifter camp only has a almost doubled item limit but since it’s so huge that sounds like a lot but if you know how big the camp is, that ain’t a lot
@@markmcgehee3864 Yeah the drifter camp is huge compared to the orbiter I also didn't know the whole orbiter was that big of a ship but after all that and you actually walk around the drifter camp it is gigantic and you can still run around that whole segment where the lotus chased you
@@sebastianrodriguez8992 it makes the standard orbiter more implausible in how everything in the GIANT SUNKEN ORBITER is fitted identically in the tiny vehicle the size of maybe a jet fighter or two

*me when I first played adult me*

I think the reason we didn't get the sequence of the alliance forming is because even DE didn't know how make that work since they did such a good job beforehand making it very clear that there is no way that alliance could work.
I wonder how trib feels about Caliban. The frame who stole Revenants rework
Considering that Protea got an ability that Vauban mains begged DE for years to add to the train, and Chroma got the ability to switch elements on the fly very shortly before Lavos came out, I start to see a pattern here... a very disturbing one...
Does Revenant really need a rework? i thought he was one of the better frames?
Really, revenant is supposed to represent the eidolon frame, but caliban is the actual sentient frame (literally) soooo, no need for rev rework
@@InfiniteGreninja Rev's only problem is that his kits is a bit "disjointed" ? The only ability that really matters is Spin To Win the rest is honestly irrelevant.
Revenant never needed a rework
Fun fact: I don’t know if it was always like this or it’s just in the new update, but if you don’t get seen by the sentient searches, kahl literally says “kahl sneak good” and then laughs.
It was in the new war teaser gameplay before the update released
@@quantumblur_3145 oh. My bad.
(But damn, that camp is definitely my perma-base now, I finally have a campfire I can burn Yareli noggles and posters at)
Lol I like it for my carpets

Happy holidays, Trib! Not gonna lie, was expecting the video to end with a cut off "I miss Kahl."
in the end, Triburos FINALLY filed the divorce papers, and got his Xbox back. Nice.
Thank you papa Trib for this christmas present.
When are you comming home?
When he finishes getting the milk
I will say this quest made the sentients look underwhelming. A single injured grineer with a grakata mowed down 20 or 30 of them.
@@scorpiowarrior7841 Nah bro, forcing players into at least 10 hours of singleplayer-locked gameplay is not a good idea.
Now it´s actually manageable (or even a bit too easy) cause´ now you can slap viral/heat/slash procs on them as on everything and when they gain Resistance you nullify it with the Paracesis or with Umbra and you´re good to go
@Scorpio Warrior
To be fair, I feel like the moment the operator dies is the moment that the universe is screwed, Warframes were specifically made to counter sentients, and the only one capable of controlling them that's still alive just died.
Plus, they probably just adapted to a point where they took no more damage from main weapons so people had to give up, gameplay wise this wouldn't be shown for balance reasons, such as with Kahl, but more of a lore thing.
I didn’t noice that “lad in the wall” statue thingy had a finger missing.

Why does it seem like nobody pays attention to the Time lecture on the Zariman? I thought it was fascinating!
i honestly thought it was one of the worst things in the game. it feels lazy, like ''oh we're gonna inject time stuff we have never touched before this and so no one knows what rules we're using... lets just explain everything in a class for kids, thats explaining a major plot point in a good way, right?''. and sure duviri paradox stuff, but its no suprise alot of players dont get it with less than 5 questions spend on it.
and i still dont get how exactly it all works because they dont do a good job explaining it. and thats a big fucking mistake if you're gonna screw around with time plot lines, because it takes alot of setup and clear rules for it to make sense, and that is something DE isnt good at.
