Rock on Phil!...were still here for yah!...got to see u a few times and had that silver scratch plate of yours shine me in the eyes a few times, magic stuff!..RIP.
The Way Phil commands the Audience is a gem .And Sykes on Guitar the whole Band where just Amazing. You dont get Bands like Lizzy or even close anymore
saw phil and the boys on this last ever tour it was my first ever concert completely blew me away still send shivers down my spine when i see them live on here
I sometimes ask myself the same thing.. I was born in January 1978....so I was a baby when Thin Lizzy got their respect! Still.. I was introduced to Thin Lizzy in 1985... and since then.. I am a fan. The only thing I regret is the fact that I was never able to see Lizzy with Phil... God may take care of his soul... R.I.P. Phil Lynott and Gary Moore!
And now we've lost Gary Moore as well, bet they're having one hell of a party up there! Saw 'Lizzy' live a number of times with different line ups, still got the original ticket stubbs and programs from them all, what memories ! R.I.P lads, save me a front row seat for when i eventually get up there.
Yeah I only saw these guys once but they rocked my sox off for the rest of my life,Great band,Great sound and Just Great :) PS: Yea this is the lineup I saw in Oz in '83-84
You know that style of bass playing that Phillo uses is so unique, its like slap pick, which no one else tries, But than again thats a fender jazz bass. Those are the best. I mean they are so good that even Geddy Lee uses 'em!
@emanual Garcia… That’s not actually a Fender J. Phil didn’t play Fenders on the final “Thunder & Lightning” tour. He had played Fender Precision’s for years and before that Rick’s.
I find watching this rather bittersweet..Phil looked bloated and seems to have lost his youthfullness ..to know that he only lived for another 2 years after this and knowing what we know..its all very sad
good. rip phil. you can see him deteriorate. if you watch the whiskey in the jar video from 72 i think, he looks fine. in 78 during the sydney, he looks good, but not as good. and i think he looks terrible here. :(
I've said it a million times and I'll say it a million more, Thin Lizzy was the most under rated band in the history of rock music.
One of the best live acts ever for sure at a minimum live bands that can actually replicate the record sound live

Heard them at Reading Festival summer of '78... what a great summer of music that was for me! The best rock band ever!
Greatest band in the world, listened them for the first time on 78 Live&Dangerous and since then never stopped listening. RIP Phil
i tell you what...phil really had an infectious smile..sadly never to be seen again in the flesh..
the most natural live band ever and best rocking band in the world RIP philo xx
It's cool how Phil relaxes and draws people to hare fun together . He loved his fans , it was visible at his concerts . Phil you're great 👍🎶🎸
I'm thinking the same thing. This performance makes me feel so bad that I will never see him perform live!

I love the breakdown at 3:10 then Phil leads a call and response with the crowd that is just magical.

I was there and met John. It was night before they played on The Tube...

Phil really knew how to get the audience going

It must have been better than any bachelor party known to man !
I agree with gunner. It was the same way with Morrison and Brian Jones though...it sucks. Great song, great performance though.
I learned air guitar to this track. Still trying...
Ode To Phil Lynott !
Dan Hawkins from the Darkness rips of every move from Sykes!
