@spotifyfree9421 I’ve got one as my first car currently. Plenty of fun. Honestly, it doesn’t need any more power since it’s fwd and feels like you are going double the speed you actually are due to it being a coupe shape. Gearbox is really nice aswell. I’d go with a manual though if you can 👍
@spotifyfree9421 it’s a fun car 100%. Just make sure it’s rust free (check MOT and everything.) if it’s got any advisories I’d be very cautious about going ahead with the deal unless it’s a bargain. The rest should be good. I bought mine blind, I’d only seen videos but had looked into the MOT etc and it was immaculate so went ahead with the purchase (not saying that’s what you should do, it was a risk from me) I’ve had not a single issue with it so far.
It's a good engine, but parts availability is very low in case you would need to rebuild it. Also swap the oil pan from 1ZZ-FE or the engine might suffer from oil starvation.
@@PrekiFromPoland oil starvation is overstated and a 1ZZ pan will make return rates worse and more 2ZZ's pop when they have 1ZZ pans, I still find it funny how such a myth is still prevalent 20 years later. You aren't going to starve the engine outside of heavily modifying your suspension and putting some meaty tires on it at a track, you can sustain 1.3G's on a stock engine. if you want to do anything past that you'll need to shim the pickup and run a moroso pan. Also I don't think anyone has issues getting replacement parts for the engines, it's only the aftermarket that is small.

Same here. Ts 2001. Going to modify next year. Best car ever

I've got one for £1000 and it's more reliable than my 2020 Megane RS xD
Благодаря братле 💪💪
god please drive on more interesting roads it feels like i'm watching grandma on her way to get groceries
I want more celica povs
i had an 01 celica gt 5 spd stick a few vehicles ago, now i have a 2012 sonic 1.8l 5 spd stick which i think i prefer, it has about the same hp.
Great video 👍👍👍
Do all the celicas come with a 6th gear?
The manual transmission versions come as 5 or 6 speeds. There are also 4 speed automatic versions.
Depends on the market. I’m pretty sure the euro market all came with 6 speeds
Is that sound stock?
i think so
Is 190 bhp good?
no, thats a problematic one, yamaha designed engine, off course depends
on your needs :)
In a car like this, yes. In a modern heavy car, not so much.
