    That sucks that you had an issue with one of the switches but it's nice that this can be worked on and fixed with parts that are readily available.

    Good job, to get a good flow of solder and also when de-soldering, you could use flux. When de-soldering just drip a bit of flux onto the wick

    I'm in the same position. Two switches wonky not even after a year of heavy use 🙄. Not impressed. My Ducky keyboard keeps performing, no problems. Do you think a MX Cherry switch could be installed as a replacement? Hearing " soder" instead of "solder", as an Aussie is so jarring 🤔. So glad you did this film, eh 👍🇦🇺

    PRO TIP:
    File the new switch until it fits perfectly before you solder, had to take off about 5 minutes worth of the nub on the back of the key so that I could tighten the key screw. Fun little project.

    Is it worth soldering connectors you can slide onto the switch, just in case you have to do it again. That way you never have to solder the new switch in place ... just slide it in instead.

    Thanks for making this video. I just bought the compact version and overall I'm impressed with the unit. My only gripe is that I wish that some of the switches took a little more force to trigger since I'm kinda clumsy with my pinky and ring fingers. I see on the specs of the switches you posted that they have a triggering force of 150g. How does that compare to the stock azeron switches? Does the switch feel stiffer or softer?

      I bought my azeron a few days ago and in the second usage I'm having problems with 3 keys. One the key is grabbing, in other doesn't return and other one with less click. I'm very disappointed with the quality of my unit. Thanks for making this video. I will try to search the same switchs in China because is better for me.

    My question to you is why didn't you send it back is it still under warranty ? I was thinking about purchasing one of these but after seeing this video I'm not quite so sure do you recommend this product still even after having to fix it ? It appears other gamers are also having problems with it seems to be kind of fragile ?

      @GRIPPED  3 года назад

      When i purchased mine they were a fairly newer company. It's been over a year since then. I also like to fix stuff on my own. Also, it would have taken a long time to ship it off, have them fix, and send it back. They gave me that opportunity to warranty it and fix it. They also sent me extra parts but I didn't want to wait, I just wanted it fixed. I recommend this to everyone. I absolutely love my azeron keypad.

    • @GRIPPED
      @GRIPPED  4 года назад

      The bricking issue could be possibly resolved with just a hard reset and deletion from Windows. I believe the switch was mostly my fault from excessive use and hard presses (jump key). We also have to remember this is a brand new tiny company. I know its a heavy price to pay to be in the initial group of users, but I accepted that it may be faulty at times because we are part of the startup. Good news... their discord is super helpful with fixes and workarounds. I found it enjoyable learning to solder. I now feel that nothing can stop me from fixing the Azeron.
