Lyn Paul was the first Mrs J I saw in London and this song at the end opened the floodgates for me. SO powerful. I've seen it about ten times since and never tire of watching the drama unfold. So glad it's a popular GCSE choice as this will get teens into theatres for many years to come. We are truly blessed in the UK to have so many great shows to see. This is a five-star drama.

I saw Lyn Paul in the 1997 London cast. She is my Mrs Johnston. As good as Barbara Dickson and Kiki Dee were, Lyn Paul just had something extra special to me. Her voice just seemed to inhabit the pain of the character. @@alanpaterson4244
When I went to see blood brothers last Thursday night at sundaland empire theatre it made me cry at the end also tell me it's not true is my favourite song.
I close my eyes and I hear Betty Buckley singing. Beautiful voice, and such a painful song to have to sing. I don't know how they're able to make it through the song without bursting into tears.
This woman's voice brought me to tears both times I saw her in Blood brothers this year. She is beyond phenomenal, this video doesn't do her any justice.

I saw Lyn Paul singing this at Malvern a few years ago and her performance is the best I have seen to date she was so perfect in the role I had nothing but praises to say about her performance she was very convincing even was crying herself during parts!

Seen 'Blood Brothers' four times now, Maureen Nolan was brilliant in the role of Mrs Johnstone but Lyn Paul was simply spellbinding, her voice filled the New Theatre in Cardiff with such feeling and clarity. A full standing ovation and at least five curtain calls made 'Blood Brothers' a show never to be forgotten. Thank you Lyn (and the rest of the cast) for such an amazing experience.

I saw blood brothers 2 years ago at the Sunderland empire theatre and it was really good and I’m going to see it again in 5 days at the theatre royal in Newcastle and Lyn Paul is going to be Mrs Johnstone again and I can’t wait to go and see it again. I’m so excited 😆

Josh Hunt I like KiKi Dee too, Have you seen Lyn live though? I have 4 times and her acting and emotion is the best I’ve seen the part played😭 Kiki is amazing too and although I like the way she has that ‘don’t show emotion’ thing going on, she lacks it a bit for me🤔 but her voice is gorgeous😊
