Man, I don't know if any tire would really be a better tire in that mud and those leaves! Nice save coming down that hill, I would've gone over sideways for sure! Are you running the stock gearing on that?
Conditions that day were exceptionally bad. Per your recommendation, I just got the 52 tooth sprocket in. Been using your links. Now I need the bolts with more threads for the thinner sprocket. My buddy with the 2014 TW is getting it also.
@@jbooh88 Get the Sunstar sprocket instead of the JT and you won't have that problem. Plus unless you shim the JT just right you are offsetting the sprockets which will cause more wear on the chain, both sprockets and put tension on the bearings at the front.
@@jbooh88 I run a 44 tooth on my TW because I wanted it to have a bit higher top end on the road without it affecting much pull in 1st and 2nd. But I will say there's nothing like this bike in bad conditions, some of those things you went through here I would have to hit at pretty good speed to get through on my DR650, I would not just be able to drop it in first gear and pull my way through it and up a hill like that. Massive respect for this farm and trail bike.
@@BillySBC I miss the 50 tooth on the road. Especially at first getting used to it. I would do it all over again though. And if I continue to mostly ride off road, may even gear down more when I need to buy a new chain. Considered having two tires and sprockets and hubs. but that was so expensive and would be such a hassle. Especially swapping chain sizes. What a dumb idea now that I think about it lol
This is the kind of wet marshy stuff the TW200 will make it through where my DR650 would just sink up to it's sprockets and look at me and say "What in the HELL did you do that for?".
One of the first rides of the year. Just had to get out there. I’d love to have a KLR for the road. But I’ve already got the BW. Better not have three bikes
Always great to see some nice places to ride, unspoiled by side-by-sides.
Them leafs make it slick
Everyone else's are mountain goats. Mine is a Swamp Donkey here in south Louisiana
I bet the atv tire on the rear would be a very attractive idea down that way.
I’m gonna start calling mine a mountain donkey.
Nothing better
